Love this, some great apps to get us started, the only one I knew about was allstays. I love the V for wiki app!!! We had our first camping trip and stayed just outside of Revelstoke BC. It was beautiful and so cozy.
yeah great little tool.also when anybody put in the cost/prices of each gas stations not only will help the traveler but also help bring in bussness for those gas stations also.a word of mouth so to speak.
Some very useful apps, especially like the last one State Lines, very useful for foreigner Bikers (and other drivers of course) while travelling the US. Thanks 😀
My wife and I travel from our home in Oregon to Southern California every year to help celebrate our son's birthday. I-5 travel in Winter can be dicey. A couple times we had to make alternate plans because I-5 was closed at the Grapevine due winter storms. A CalTrans app available for a cellphone, Quick Maps, allows you to view road conditions before embarking. It offers a lot of optional selections that make California road travel simpler.
Very helpful. I just bought a 2012 PleasureWay today. I've been overdosing on your videos this week and appreciate all the time you put into them. I'm a little petrified - new to it all - but doing my first 'trip' at a house I'm renting in my hometown to see my family from a social-distance. Will be practicing in the driveway off and on this trip.
I wonder if you know about creativity RV.? This woman does a lot of information videos that I find absolutely amazing. I don’t know if this will be useful to you or not but I thought I would mention it. PS your videos are absolutely fabulous. Keep up the good work.
Hi Anna. We may head that way this week but it gets mighty cold in winter and passes can be dangerous in a high too van like yours. Do let us know if you head south
Once again, a very informative video and tutorial for RV traveling. I am compiling our list so when our new RV arrives and travels begin, we should be better prepared, thanks to you!! Well done!
FIY there's an app called Your Coast(iOS) by California Coastal Commission, its only purpose is to locate access points to water along California coast.
Just a couple of quick questions- you mentioned that you have a cell phone booster. Which one did you choose and are you happy with it? And how many miles do you have on your van at this point? Thanks!
15,000 miles. We have the We Boost and it certainly amplifies the signal but it is spotty in increasing the upload or download speeds. We also haven't permanently mounted it in the van because I'm not really wanting to have a hole drilled in the roof. We are looking into a night hawk mobile hotspot from AT&T that my brother uses and it works great. And there is a bigger device we learned from another couple called Cradle Point and they love it. But it is much more expensive.
Just found your site and I am thoroughly enjoying it. You do a great job with the presentations! My husband and I travel in our motorhome 6 months or so a year. That being said, I bought the Dark Sky app based on your recommendation and really don’t like it......perhaps an update has changed it since the video. I wouldn’t recommend it. Thank you for sharing information!
So sorry you didn't like it. Yes, they did update it since then but I actually like the update better. Other apps I have used include Carrot, My Radar Pro, Weather Underground, Weather.com but none of those really clicked for me. Thanks for letting me know.
If you are 62 or older, you qualify for the lifetime senior pass from the Federal Government. It gives you a 50% discount on camping fees at BLM, USFS, USPark Service. The cost is $80 if you get it at a USFS/park service office/visitor center or for an additional $10 processing fee you can buy on line at this link: store.usgs.gov/senior-pass

Glad you found it useful. I'm working on our favorite campsites from the trip and will have a link to a Google Map with all of them identified.

That’s wonderful. Hope you have many great adventures in your rig.
Found your channel about a week ago... big fan! Downloaded a couple of your recs; thank you. Do you now use RVLife/RVTrip Wizard for planning?
Thanks and welcome. No. Mostly we don't plan. We might pick one destination and then fill in around it.
