Everything is relevant in this talk. You guys are talking about me. There's almost too much.
Ed, keep doing what you're doing!
Making yourself uncomfortable to change your future. One key point in my mind. Making videos of myself and putting them on the Internet is the most difficult thing I've ever done in my life. But I know it's right. I feel proud and satisfied.
I'm rehabbing myself now. Lost 60 pounds. Spiritually. Marriage. Business. Learning about myself. Taking time alone. Kicking old habits causing glitches in my mind.
Going to watch this 3 times.

*The reason why you are depressed, is not your life and having it together. The reason is your perception of your life. There is nothing wrong with your hardware, you need to update your software. You are not living in the moment and long after the magical future, that some day you will rise and everything will be smooth. That day will never come, when you neglect your current situation. Your life situation maybe undesirable, but your life is great. You live, you breathe, you eat, you sleep. Everything else is a projection of your mind. Taking actions is a sure way to climb back and regain your life. Start by establishing what you want and where do you want to be. Never neglect yourself.*

Ok, ok, ok... this right here is the switch for me. I'm new to your channel and, per usual, God knows what he's doing because I hadn't grown enough yet to be able to digest this. You are such an inspiration, as well as your guests I've seen so far (and might I add... your sound guy is awesome!). It's like you are speaking directly to me. This reply...from Jennifer Gardner (love, love, love her!) flipped my confidence. I am reading, thinking, feeling all the same things as people whom I consider larger than life, has made me realize, that, the only ingredient I am missing is action. Thank you for what you do.... time for me to pay it forward.

EdMylett there were so many, but that one hit close to home. I'm on a journey of finding out how I can step in to the greatness I've known I had for so many years. So many people have told me I'm not worthy, but I refuse to listen and I'm doing the work now so my future generations won't have to live with the concequences of the decision not to. I'm willing to do the work. I won't ever win the war with myself if I don't fight the battles to begin with.

When I lost my husband last year, I thought I would never crawl out of the darkness. But something deep inside of me kept saying "get up - you can do this". Somehow, I found my reason - it was for me because I just couldn't stand feeling so badly 24/7. Minute by minute, day by day, I started to get better and stronger and now I've taken back my power. Thank you for these amazing videos Ed - they have been life-changing for me.

AWARENESS. Self love & learning to be alone; feeling adequate without anyone’s approval is the beginning of our growth. That’s a decision we make for ourselves; not from anyone else. That journey may be lonely & painful but the rewards of learning who we are, owning our failures without blame and be willing to change for better makes life worthwhile.

I wrote a book based on how I went from reading at a 4th grade level at age 26 to starting a brick and mortar business that employees over 70 great people. The book shows a path on how to start a business and stay in business for over 30 years. The importance of taking action and what kind of action. I don't consider it to be self help but personal development. I believe THE MORE I GIVE THE MORE I LIVE. The name of my book is MENTOR THE KID AND THE CEO.

When he went to friends funeral . He said he didn’t know what his friend was going through? Many ppl don’t know and as for me I didn’t want anyone knowing I am this low . Then as this low level has continued I finally spoke on my mental mindset . It’s made me a conversation piece vs. people just being here for me for support. I have to get comfortable with myself aside from the labels I’ve given myself . I’ve always been a mom. When my sons left the nest . I have been completely lost.

He's a Great Motivator but motivation is not enuf. It's not what you say, it's what you do. Trent is My Hero and he walks on his journey with us as we embark on our own. "they are too close" & the people who see your imperfections and still want to be your friend-keep them....Back in October/November I started weeding out people who are just hanging on my coattails to leech off my successes or what I can do for them. What a very inspirational testimony. I can definitely relate on MANY levels. I only after 3 weeks of turning 8yrs old lost my 5 month old baby brother. My youngest sister was diagnosed with MS, my oldest sister became bipolar/schizophrenic at about 28 triggered from an abusive marriage. My parents & myself have had to care for her ever since. Last year my sister died unexpectedly. 1 month later to the exact date my mom died unexpectedly as well. Now I’m here with a crushed heart trying to hold onto my faith. God has ALWAYS been my number one all my life. I’m single, no kids & never been married. Trying to understand all this. I always felt God had a big purpose for my life. Your testimony reminded me he does & I can’t give up now even though my flesh wants to so badly. 🙏🏼😭💔

I must admit never knowing Trent Shelton before this but I have to say he has been the guest I have most resonated with. I have seen grand success and also failed. My current period is probably my lowest point financially but most creative (go figure) and I too have questioned God’s presence in my life on tough days. But I fight on as I listen to good people that go through trials only to come out on top. My faith strengthens as a result. God hasn’t gone anywhere. Feeling of failure and disappointing others... and the list goes on. At the end of that journal entry, I only asked for help to be bigger and to go through it. I didn’t ask for it to go away... just that I would get help and support. And this video Ed, serves as proof that my God read my journal entry; and the help/support will come as I take steps to reach my best self possible while I’m on this planet.

I thought this episode was so good! I was blown away that strong, powerful men deal with the same things we do. They have confidence issues and things they are still working on. The words that Trent said are motivational quotes that should be on t-shirts, coffee mugs, planners, notebooks - anywhere where we can be reminded of those things daily.

We often feel depressed because our soul remembers “our true home” the feeling of peace, unconditional love and happiness. We are here to heal and to learn differently then we have before. Our purpose is to create that feeling in our physical bodies through our kids our passion finding that happiness within. A lot of us don’t even realize where our pain and sadness has come from because we suppress it. You have to feel it to heal it and then release it. Once you get to a point where you can surrender to the bigger picture and go with the motion of why the set back is happening, then stand back up and do it again with a different approach so you can improve how you handle things better. You are never back to where you started before, no matter the fall you can always choose to rise up and try again. Create a better you strive for the bigger picture of why you are here. Everything happens for a reason. 💗 love this video thank you for making it so many people need to hear this including myself it’s nice to be reminded that the focus is on the big picture!

Ed the most important thing I have taken from this video because I am going through it right now is boundaries. At this time growing my business some people in my life aren’t supportive because they are to close to me. I have had to learn to distance myself from some family members because they don’t understand my work and have fears. Ultimately it is because they don’t know who they are and I can only control my reactions to them so loving them from a distance is what’s best for me

I'm in a season where my story isn't going as planned and Trent's words about the story not being over resonated with me. Good point on the categories of friends family and associates... many times we expend undue energy on people that, if we are honest with ourselves, aren't going to be there for us the way we are for them.
