I wish we had an atmosphere like this in America. 2 age old clubs in the same town, playing in a derby that means more then the entire season. The sheer noise and power of those cheers, from both supporters, was unreal.

Yes they should be up there. You have the likes of Ross, St Mirren and Hamilton who just don't have the support to sustain the SPL. They are good teams but with not a huge support. United and Dundee carry a decent travelling support and normally have 5 - 8k at home. Even in the chamionship at Tannadice today 8000! So SPL crowds you can expect a bit more. Huge loss for Scottish football!
Not always the most pure football but usually the most entertaining derby in Scotland. Hopefully a top flight fixture next season 🔶◾️

I remember watching this and thinking - as a neutral - I would absolutely love to go to this derby! Every derby is unique, but the intensity of the fans, the atmosphere & genuine rivalry really reminds me of ‘The Old Farm Derby’ (Norwich Ipswich)

@@vitruvianmind3570 dundee were given a poor allocation for this game as well. they only got the part of the main stand anyone else gets. i guarantee you Utd will have their ground half empty for every other game this season. they couldnt even sell all their tickets for the play off final. 3 years in a row now they have had a budget wellabove the rest of the league yet st mirren and ross county won this division easily.
Nathan C Rangers are actually now called “The Rangers” they went into administration about 8 years ago and they had to change ownership and the company. So they changed the name

Brilliant game and atmosphere. This is why the Premier should be 16 teams! You have some big clubs in the championship due to funding more than anything, in Uniteds case poor managers have put them there.

Mate that was the best atomphere in Scotland better than old firm and Edinburgh derby - Hearts fan
We allowed dundee fans a stand all the way across the whole length of the pitch (behind camera) allowing for a cracking atmosphere and this is why the old firm on sunday was pish for atmosphere was because celtic fans were confined to that small corner meaning rangers was able to beat them for atmosphere. Hearts and hibs allow for more fans in their derbies which is good.

My dad was a Utd fan and ended up supporting Celtic because he got so much pelters he was in his 40s when he became a turncoat so sad

Game would of been different if the goal wasn't incorrect chalked off. Looking forward to the next Dundee derby, always the most entertaining game in Scottish football and two massive clubs who are without a doubt the 5th and 6th biggest in the country.
