This weekend in the UK,.... Sat, pissing down rain and cold, car meet called off, Sun "Ultimate street car" at Santa Pod, ... dull as dishwater, full of 4dr fkn Golfs and Audis......this comes up in my subscribers tonight...normality returns, thank for the real cars and no BORING yakking all the way through, quality?.....superb 10/10 Cheers, UK
I remember going with my father to the drag strip as a little kid in the mid/late 60s and into the 70s watching these classic gassers! Quite a few of them were often street legal, with their owners driving them to the strip on weekends, switching over to slicks, and then racing them...
Love that Fordamoney Fairlane......what a beauty and a 6.38, yes-sir-ree-dee. Wow, Daddy's Thing was gettin' it and what a site under that hood. How's the temps up there AMC9L? Bet that track temp is screaming, I'm not even going racing until temp comes down....sitting in the garage waiting.....it's smothering here.....heat index today is 115....that's stupid crazy.
Why do we always have to assume the length of the track? What is so hard about giving up this information? From the view down track I would say it is an eighth mile strip; But some of the times seem like 1/4 mile times. This is why I don't watch more of these videos on you tube. Video quality - very good. Racers and cars - very good. Letting us know what the track is so we know who's hot and who's not - bad, even non-existent. Doing the research, because the author would not include the information, I now know Cordova is a 1/4 mile track.
I enjoy your videos-some great cars here-but am not a fan of 1/8 mile drags. it doesn't seem right as when it was invented it was 1/4 mile so it should stay that way. just IMO.

Last few weekends was in high 90s but now it's cooling off. August and September is the best time to spend at racetracks.
