Don't think of it as falling short - think of it as the beta release! The outfits in BG3 have incredibly intricate designs, this is a wonderful job so far and I can't wait to see the rest! Just think of what you'll be able to create next with new knowledge unlocked and upgraded machinery.

Despite the problems youve encountered, that jacket is truly stunning. You continue to amaze me as I cannot even fathom trying to piece this all together how you have. I look forward to part 2!

not only is this jacket stunning, but your positive attitude is a great example of of, "hey, accept it as it is, do your best in the time you have, and if you just have fun with it you'll have something you can be happy with the results with." And I love that! Great vibes, instant subscribe.

ahhh I'm so excited to see how this turns out!! Next time you have to do that embroidery with your machine, you may want to try a similar coloured regular thread in your bobbin if you didn't already give that a go. Might have an easier time with the thread not knotting up on the bottom. Sewing machines are fickle things though so that could make it worse idk rip sewing machine though. I'm sure you'll find a way to get it done!

So beautiful! The embroidery looks amazing. Maybe you can edit the etsy pattern to make it more accurate for the back.

I will admit to being biased here... you might want to look into getting a vintage black iron straight stitch machine (I have 3 from the WWII era) that can be your heavy duty work horses. They are HEAVY (28# for my 15-90 and 33 for my 201's), but they are powerful and very easy to maintain. If you get a modern machine for the specialty stitches, having a big, bad girl to do the heavy lifting will protect it to a large degree.

I actually just got an antique machine from like the early 1900s that I want to try to refurbish at some point. It works, except that it needs a new belt. I think that would be such a treat, and also be capable of handling these kinds of projects a bit better!

@@makinghannah is yours a round bobbin model, or does it use a long bobbin and shuttle?

What type of blue fabric did you use for the jacket? I want to make my own astarion cosplay so I’d like to know. I plan on cutting up a pair of dark denim jeans for the chaps, and sewing a little pocket on the inside so I can store my phone and stuff.

I used a sort of canvas material with a slight stretch. Great idea for the chaps!
