    I’m using Splade for a couple of weeks now and I just love it! It’s built so smart and feels just like building/using a normal Laravel-Breeze project.

    I find Splade very interesting, but it is not clear for me if we are constrained to Tailwind.css or we can still use bootstrap or other css framework?

    • @PascalBaljet
      @PascalBaljet Год назад +6

      Most non-form and non-table components are functional and do not have a template and markup. You may publish the Blade templates and replace the Tailwind CSS classes with Bootstrap.

    I think that it's not a good idea to use blade in 2023 in SPA, in my opinion, if you want to have a good SPA, you need to use next way.
    1. Create AWS Cloudfront with deploy pipe (here we can write any front end app on any framework that will use our Laravel (Lumen) API)
    2. Create Laravel API in another repository and deploy yml to EC2, or if you find easiest way you can use Vapor to deploing your API (here we no need to know how deploy works)
    3. Finally, -> we use new frameworks on from end that call our Laravel API
    But it's useful for big projects. In projects less we can keep all code in one repo, and also make single SPA here, but in this can back will send 1 time HTML page in the first load of page like here but without additional libraries.

    Very nice video. Indeed Splade is a good alternative for SPA and Pascal has done a good job. Just have some questions about how we can use Splade with LARAVEL UI? Do we need to build Api to work with or it's not necassry ?

    • @LaravelDaily
      @LaravelDaily  Год назад

      It's not really designed to work with Laravel UI, or any non-Tailwind designs. It's probably possible to somehow make it work, but I haven't tried it myself.

    I have an old project built with blade and connect with api with Ajax. Do you think this is a great solution. The project is large with low resources 🤔

      If it works, then it's a good solution for you! Tech stack choice is a personal preference, so use whatever works for you.

    So Splade replaces Livewire? I love Livewire and I understand it will do SPAs in the next version. Is there a table comparing against Livewire?

    • @tiffloon
      @tiffloon Год назад +4

      Not a replacement for Livewire, but an alternative.

    • @JamesAutoDude
      @JamesAutoDude 8 месяцев назад

      That's my question too... I wonder if SPA in Livewire is any better than splade
      I guess the benefit to using the Livewire SPA is that you're not stuck to one thing like tailwind (splade is tailwind only from what I can find)

  • @medilies
    @medilies Год назад +3

    To me. Splade is an alternative to filament. Livewire is an alternative to inertia. And using livewire is a hack tbh and its performance is horrible

    • @JamesAutoDude
      @JamesAutoDude 8 месяцев назад

      I thought inertia mainly bridges the gap between backend and frontend

      No, it won't work without npm. If you don't want to recompile, keep using Livewire.
