The name UNIQ is a combination of the word "Unique" and the legendary animal "Unicorn."
It signifies the members' determination to become legendary and irreplaceably unique.
The team's logo contains a symbol of a unicorn, showing how mysterious and unique UNIQ is.
"Falling In Love" is UNIQ's first title song. It's a dubstep pop genre track with an acoustic guitar base by producer Shin Hyuk of Joombas Music Group.
The song is about first love, its excitement and innocence well expressed by UNIQ's unique members.
The members participated in writing the lyrics, which really helped them carry out the meaning better. UNIQ plans on debuting in China with the song as well.

UNIQ는 특별하고 개성 있다는 의미의 유니크(UNIQUE)와 신화와 전설 속의 동물로 신비함을 간직한 유니콘(UNICORN)을 합성해 만든 새로운 단어이다. 신화 속의 존재인 유니콘의 뿔과 특별하고 개성 있는 자신들만의 모습을 하나로 모아 유일무이한 존재가 될 것이라는 것을 팀의 이름에 담아 낸 것이다. 특히 UNIQ는 유니콘을 형상화한 심벌을 로고에 넣어 신비하고 특별한 UNIQ를 표현하고 있다.
‘Falling In love’는 UNIQ의 첫 번째 타이틀곡으로 어쿠스틱 기타를 기반으로 한 덥스텝 팝 장르의 곡으로 Joombas Music Group 신혁 프로듀서의 작품이다. 이 곡은 첫사랑의 설렘과 풋풋함을 UNIQ만의 표현으로 잘 담아내고 있다. 한국과 중국에서의 활동을 염두에 두고 만들어진 이 곡은 특히 멤버들이 직접 한글 작사에 참여하여 멤버들이 자신들의 감성을 직접 담아 냈다.

Just came here right after finishing 'The Untamed' (I know, I'm a bit late). Didn't know anything about the cast, knew the story was adapted from a BL novel (that's what got my attention). So imagine my surprise when I found out that Wang Yibo (who I had my eyes on since the 1st episode) is a boy group member. AND HE'S SO F***ING CUTE, HIS SMILE, TO DIE FOR 😭❤

Honestly, Sungjoo is suffering the most from UNIQ’s lack of activity. Other members are active in China and Seungyoun is solo but Sungjoo never released any music. He was MADE to be an idol. He’s got the voice and the looks and he’s just left to rot during his prime years. I’m so disappointed. I hope we get to see more of him when he’s back from his service. I miss him. (Yes I’ve seen all his dramas..)

Wow, Yibo, I was so shocked when I found out he is from Uniq. I followed this group when they debuted and after they released Eoeo, but after that I didn't hear about them anymore. Today while watching an episode of "The Untamed", I had a recommended Uniq video with him as the thumbnail and I was like....."wait a minute...is he...is hee from Uniq, no waaaay, I thought he looks familiar from somewhere and the fact that Lan Wangji doesn't smile didn't help me recognise him too well😂 I love that series

X1 de-banned last year due to a scandal involving the Produce 101 show. I feel bad for Seungyoun cuz when Uniq started to get recognized worldwide, THADD happened and the band had to split up. Koreans could not work in China. Then he joined Produce 101 and became a member of X1. X1 became pretty big last year winning the best group in Korea and then the scandal happened the group got de-banned. He's all left alone again. I wish Sung Joo, Seungyoun and Yi Bo can still come back as Uniq. They can all sing, rap, dance and write their own music. That'll be really great!
@Amemura Ramuda Right. He's not being rejected personally but rather the politics and scandals which have nothing to do with him are betraying him. I hope for the best for him cuz he's really talented and still young. Hope the industry will treat him better in the future.

edit: okay, i made this comment right after reading the comments about the untamed HAHAHAHA he was my bias wrecker in UNIQ. so it was istg so shocking for me that he became an actor generally and especially from my misconception from the other comments saying he starred in a bl drama, I was even more shook. But I've watched the drama(yes i've cried many times and haven't entirely moved on) and I'm following the manga and I understand that the drama wasn't a bl. Although it did come from a bl novel, the drama plot held more of bromance and loyal friendship rather than bl romance.

I love the huge jump they made from Falling in Love to EOEO. Even though everyone loves EOEO (which I love as well), I still love their debut song more. :) Because it's sweet and introduced me to this amazing group.
Yeah, I think in their daily life, they are much like the cute boys in FIL while in stage, they tend to be huge monsters do whatever they want and they know they are able to do it. FIL is just too easy for them.The gap is also addictive. I really glad they have love again in their mini album. Quite fresh. They seems to combine two sides of UNIQ together.
