Looks like an awesome walk. Thanks mate

    That place looks familiar ;-)
You really had some great weather for the day, was so crazy windy when I did it recently.
7:37 "Not too much further to go".. I was thinking the same thing at that point in the walk. The walk from that point, along Werri beach and through the streets of Gerringong to the train station felt much further than I was expecting.
8:25 Wow, the level of erosion at Werri beach in just a few weeks is amazing. I was able to cross that point (with careful timing between waves) without getting my feet wet.

Haha, indeed! Got pretty lucky with the weather on that day. Was beautiful out there.
I definitely underestimated how much further it was after passing Little Blowhole.
Wasn't sure what I would get with the crossing at Werri Beach but it was deep enough to have to hike the shorts up a bit to keep them dry!

Mate this is a banger of I hike. I used to live there, it was so nice to watch your video. You should keep going and do the full Great South Coast Walk from Sydney to Mallacoota

Thanks Kate! Yeah, loved this hike and it's such a beautiful part of the country. The Great South Coast Walk is one I would love to do in full as well. Future plans! Hope all is going well.

Great vid. Well done. One of my favourite rides (Kiama to Gerringong) A bit too far for my old legs to walk. Safe travels mate 😃👍

Thanks for that! I really enjoyed that hike. I'd love to get back there and do the full 20km hike next time, hopefully in similarly perfect weather! Appreciate you watching and leaving a comment.

Firstly, you are some kind of weather god! It just keeps following you, from Tassie to here!
Secondly, loved the color grade and music, really was a nice chill video, help me pass the time and remind me of all the nature while we're in our lockdown....

Haha, I'm surely overdue for some bad weather on a hike soon. I've had a crazy run of good luck with it recently.
Thanks for the compliments on the video. I used the GoPro for this one and was really happy with the way it shot both video and audio.
I was wondering if you guys may still be in Tassie and possibly avoiding at least the first part of the lockdown. Hopefully it won't be too long though and great that you got your holiday in before that happened.

@@FreedomOnFoot yeah it looked great, how good is that stabilisation right!
It does start to go to hell in low light though, hopefully they bring one out with a bigger sensor soon.
Hahaha unfortunately not, we got back last Wednesday but both very lucky to be minimally impacted
Glad things are better your way

@@JakeMarcin, yes gotta make the most of the freedom down here at the moment! Hopefully it starts to settle down quickly in NSW though.

Very nice to see others hiking and enjoying my home location. :-)
The full hike is Minnamurra to Gerringong, local Kiama LGA is talking a small walk bridge at the sometimes problematic Werri Lagoon.

Hi Deb! Very nice part of the world, that's for sure. It was a bit of fun crossing the water at the lagoon but really wasn't sure what I was going to be greeted with when I arrived there in terms of the water level.
I might have to come back and do the full hike from Minnamurra next time! Thanks for watching.

@@FreedomOnFoot you can always get across if you dont mind getting a bit wet, low tide is the best of course. It is mostly a sand bar, only times its a wash through if we have had a lot of rain and the lagoon is full and spring tides. A popular idea is park car at Gerringong station, catch train to Minnamurra or in reverse and do the walk, that way you arrive back at your car and good to head off. I live in Shellharbour :-)

@@DebOxy, that's a great idea about the car and train! Will remember that for whenever I do a return visit.

Lovely part of the world. A fair few footpaths if you start from Minnamurra. It's a sneaky long hike from the end of Werri Beach to the train station.

It really is beautiful there. I did see the train station when I got to the end. Was fortunate to be staying with a member of my extended family who was kind enough to pick me up once I finished the hike which was a great end to it!
