He could have said the movie would be "full of comedy, full of fun, full of symbolism and sociel commentary; and people will still be analyzing and dicussing it fifty years later."

he's playing it up because he's in costume, is supposed to be interesting for the promo, and is someone who frequently jumped into random characters without warning in his interviews
I was AMAZED when I found this treasure on the Criterion release's bonus goodies! Good on you for posting this for others!🙏❤

Peter ad libs with that incredible background in British character humor.
Both he and Hal also ad-libbed Ashby's previous films
"Tomorrow's New Yesterday" and "Backwards Before Dawn"
😃
I like to watch!
Priceless...
"tomorrow's new yesterday" he uses that for his check joke.
Another gem! How do you do it? Keep 'em coming. I'm going to jump in the pools, jump in the saunas and get rubbed all over 😂
❤🎉❤

Whys Peter speaking like that. You can't tell if it's a character or what. And I love him even more for that
he's in character...... the character he plays in Being There.
@@ImpalamansGarage have you seen being there? Chance the gardener is nothing like this. Absolutely no similarity whatsoever
