Matt, we've been enjoying your channel for quite some time.. Thanks for you content, and sharing your travels. God has made us a wonderful place to enjoy and explore. Thanks for sharing your Christian view on the trails.
Matt, proudly sharing your Christianity in not only what you say but how you live what you say!!! Sorry you lost your little one!! God Bless you and yours!!!
Rooster , She was so pretty as a Frenchie.May her beauty live on ..RIP..
Brother your effort is what makes you my favorite content creator. I get to see the whole reason you are there; the country. The main character of the story.
"Balistic, that's a good one..... New Yorker, not so much". Love it!!!!
Hey Matt. I have been following you for almost a year now and watching your subscribers mark. I am VERY happy for you and Cara hitting the 100k mark. You guys deserve it!!. Keep up the good work.
Without a doubt you gave Rooster the best life ever. I’m so thankful that you and your wife share your many adventures with us. Thank you for the amazing videos and thanks for letting us tag along.
Thank you very much.
Such a beautiful and bitter sweet video. Rest in peace you adorable little ball of fluff.
First,my condolences on Rooster. She was super cute & sweet.Yes,it is worth it for all the work u do for those shots that u were inquiring about.U make amazing videos!!!We always look forward to your uploads.
Thanks so much
Your videography does not go unappreciated!
Ohh no. So sorry to hear that. She will always be with you wherever you go.
The shots were amazing as usual. And I really enjoyed the music in this one, very theatrical. RIP Rooster ❤
Yes the extra vantage point shots are worth it. Keep up the hard work. Enjoying your content!
Awesome, thank you!
Oh gosh. I really enjoyed your video but my tears were heavy
Thank you for representing AZ so well.
I have been enjoying your trips through the Sonoran Desert. Starting with the El Camino Del Diablo. I have grown up in this desert and at the age of 54 I enjoy watching people not from here become mesmerized and fall in love with it. I can’t explain my connection with this desert I only tell people it’s my happy place. It made me happy to watch you go through so many emotions as you traveled through it. I wish some day I could join you and maybe answer some questions and definetly correct some pronunciations.😂. You have done this desert justice the way you have shared it and for that I thank you.
Thanks so much. It’s a special place for sure. Can’t wait to go back.
Awww. Rooster left us. I enjoyed watching the dog. We overland with a 4 lb Maltese and can’t imagine how 😊your heart aches.
Thanks so much.
I’m grateful that she got to live her best life with you
Thank you.
Keep getting those shots... You're a great editor!
Outstanding as always. Yeah, get those shots of whatever you can. Get out and hike, stretch those legs...lol. You have a couple of months to soak up that desert 🏜. Rip Rooster
fly it, fly it....................
So sorry for your loss of your Puppy. God Bless
So glad she had that time with you.
Yes, it's worth it!! Love watching the beautiful country. Sweet Rooster. RIP
Your videos are nicely produced! The effort you put into them is appreciated!
Thank you very much!
Flying through that arch was a VERY cool shot!
Old stomping grounds....glad you like it Matt! You gave Rooster a great life! Never feel bad. God put dogs on earth for us to enjoy and be a companion! Rooster certainly was just that!
R.I.P. sweet little Rooster. She’ll live on in your videos, and wonderful memories.
Thank you.
I have to say, my wife and I adored seeing Rooster. Although too short, her life was full of adventure and love.
Thank you.
The Sonoran Desert biome, is my absolute favorite! I’ve lived in and camped in so many different places and climate regions, and for whatever reason, I still just love the Sonoran desert. I am so glad you’ve finally had a chance to visit and explore! I feel like it’s the one major region you were missing in the US, in terms of regions of overland and off-road exploration.
The wife and I are loving this series Matt. Thanks for taking us along. I am a huge fan of desert exploring.
Thank you. 2 more videos to go.
Matt, it is definitely worth the effort to get the scenic shots of the environment and you driving through. Thanks.
Hi Matt, Love this video, it was amazing and the cinematography was awesome. Thank you so much for sharing!🚙
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures I hope you and family are well!
32:24 pro tip if you’re ever in the desert around jumping cholla(teddy bear cactus). Carry a fine tooth comb with you. It’s the best for getting the cactus off.
Thanks for the tip. Great idea
Definitely worth the effort. I watch a lot of videos and Definitely look forward to yours the most. Thank you for what you do!
I appreciate that!
Great series Matt. I love that you take the time and effort to hike your camera to some of the spots to get great footage of the scenery as you travel through it. Take it from a guy with only one leg.... those little hikes mean a lot if you can't do them anymore. Hopefully the pain from losing Rooster is being replaced with all the good memories you created with her. 🙏🙏 Can't wait to see the next video in this series! Keep up the great content. Thank you
So sorry for your loss… ❤️
Great video. Looks like so much fun and very relaxing
It is!
HI MATT 👋
SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR LOSS ! ROOSTER WAS HER OWN CHARACTER ❤ GOING TO BE MISSED FOR SURE ❤ ! THEY'RE ALWAYS WITH YOU EVEN WHEN THEY'RE NOT ! IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. BREATHTAKING SCENERY VIEWS LANDSCAPE VEGETATION ❤
SOMEONE MUST OF REALLY DONE SOMETHING WRONG THAT YOU CAN'T FLY THE DRONES IN CERTAIN AREAS , BUT IF WHOEVER DOESN'T PICK UP AFTER THEMSELVES WE'LL LOOSE MORE !
AMAZING VIDEO FOOTAGE & LOTS OF EXERCISE GOOD ON THOSE LONG DRIVES FOR THE BODY & MIND 📹
WASN'T ON YOUR LIST BUT A JACKRABBIT WILL HAVE TO DO SO FAR .
BE SAFE ❤HAVE FUN ❤GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 🙏❤THANK YOU ☺️ 🙏PRAYERS 😊 🙏
From the comments it seems something happened to that precious puppy. I am so sorry. She was so behaved and beautiful. Well. You have inspired me. Once I get my 4Runner done I will most definitely be out there. I cannot believe you were the only camper at the arch. Such a beautiful place. The sunset was pure art. Thank you for sharing this experience.
Worth the effort!
Sorry to hear about Rooster! Never easy losing your pet! I love your adventures you share with us and all the advice you provide on this channel!
Thank you so much!
yes it is worth the effort, and one of my favorite parts of your videos. You do some of the best aerial and out of vehicle shots I have seen. dashcam and selfies are easy, but not interesting. As a dog lover, I feel your pain.
Thank you very much!
As always great video!! Viva forever rooster!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Your effort with setting up the camera is definitely worth it - the alternate views are spectacular!
Thanks so much!
I like all the effort you put into all your camera work it looks really good and you’re my favorite camping RUclipsr!
I appreciate that!
Dogs are like family to us, so sorry for your loss. Guaranteed big horn up close Valley of Fire State park Nevada east of Vegas.
There is a lot more life in a desert than most people think. I loved reading about the desert in Edward Abbey's books. I don't agree with some of his beliefs, but I loved the way he wrote. Also like the fact that he had a college english teacher who told him he would never make it as a writer. Bet he published more books than the professor ever did.
Love the channel. Kofa is a beautiful place. The power line in the video I was on the project building it. Where I had the honor of meeting Brad from Trail Recon while he was on the center force ride in 23. Maybe we will meet on the trail. Keep up the great work
Very cool!
I've subscribed for a few years now. You still had the black JK. We bought our blue gladiator a couple weeks before you bought yours. Great minds think alike. Lol
Keep going the way you are. I do like the shots that show you driving through the scenes. It does require more work effort putting the cameras in place, drive past then collect them again. I call it exercise. Lol
R.I.P Rooster.
Thank you!!
yes i like the sights and all the extra things with the stationary tripod shots
Thank you.
The saguaros actually grow more in abundance and are much taller at elevations between around 1500-2500 feet. The foothills north and east of metro Phoenix have some of the highest concentrations of Saguaros I have ever seen.
you gonna love the Jesters trail in Yuma az..
Very good video it is nice when you walk and get more video away from you’re Jeep.
Thanks 👍
These videos are still killing me to watch! RIP Rooster! She truly seemed to enjoy being your co pilot Matt
Thanks. 2 videos to go.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures I honestly don’t know what’s gonna be harder, watching the videos with her cute little tongue constantly hanging out or not seeing her at all! I lost my Frenchy about 6 years ago and still haven’t had the heart to get another little best friend! Hopefully we can get some feel good videos with Goose coming up. RIP Rooster
Can't wait to see what you do in the Flagstaff area. You should definitely consider a trip south to Sedona. Epic views and a few nice trails like Broken Arrow. The traffic on the main roads can be terrible though depending on the time of year. Also, central AZ is amazing too. In December I did 3 days from near Wickenberg up and over the mountains through Crown King and then across I-17 into the Bloody Basin / Aqua Fria NM area down to Sheep Bridge. Loved it so much I may do it again later this year. Lots of abandoned mines and old ruins in that area!
I’ll be spending a lot of time in AZ in the future. It’s an amazing state.
25:50 That's the Hovetter Homestead site. Was just there a month ago. We believe the cactii lined the driveway. Probably planted as very small plants decades ago. 😊
07:00 Matt I don't know how you do it. All that stopping to set up the camera and going back to get it would drive me bonkers. For me it would slow the trip down so much that I just can't imagine getting a lot of enjoyment out of it. It would turn a vacation into work. Editing these specific videos must also just break your heart, too. 😢. Kudos to you. Seriously.
I love the filming process because it slows me down and I can soak it in more.
❤ Condolences
Man I'm sorry for your loss =( Rooster definitely had a hell of a life with you all though =)
🙏
Need to head down Tucson way. Cactus forest will take on a whole new meaning.
I live in Tucson, and I still haven’t explored AZ as much as you have. I don’t take enough time off😂😂😂
I’m planning to get out in May.
Do it!!
So sorry about your puppy they are cute dogs.
Hey Matt, first off, sorry to hear about Rooster! Always tough losing a fur baby! Second, the cactus stuck in the tire, okay that was funny! And last, are those the Vision Manx or the Manx 2 wheels?? Just picked up a full set of the Manx 2 wheels for my Gladiator the other day!!!
How are those Milestar Patagonia tires holding up? I live in west Texas by Odessa and I'm considering on buying a set.
They are fantastic
Sorry about Rooster. Looks like she was spoiled in a good way.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Rooster is quite the cutie. You gave her an amazing life, and she gave you one far greater.
Thank you.
what paint did you use to color the dashboard red? nice👍
Red dash is standard on Rubicons
The views are worth the effort from my standpoint. The scenery is amazing. Not a fan of G-ment rules not allowing drones. Not sure how that hurts anything.
I’m sure u been ask
But what do you use for gps how do you find those trails and able to navigate them when off line how does the work
I don't know what he does, but I always bought topo maps from the Geology Commission. They show most everything. People have been exploring long before GPS was ever thought of.
Gaia GPS. I’ve got tutorial videos on how to use it and how I find all the places.
Almost had to go to another vid because of the eating sounds lol
Officially out of the refuge. Next camera shot drone. I think you were itching lol
definitely. LOLOL
Sad to hear about Rooster, do you still have Goose ?
Oh yeah. The G-Man is doing great. He was just a little mad he didn’t get to come on this one. lol.
I love your video's buddy but these last few are hard to watch. RIP Rooster.
What happened to Rooster ?
See the last video. I explain it all there.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Just watched it, sorry for your loss pal.
Hey 🙋 great video. If your a Christian I’d love to see you sharing a devotional or something in the morning on this channel. That’d be awesome 😎. If you don’t know the Bible well you could get a devocional and share your thoughts about it. I saw psalm 91:4 tattooed on your wife’s arm and y’all praying once or twice.
This channel has a farther reach than many church’s do (at least in views). You can obviously do whatever…. haha obviously it’s your channel. But I’ve been seeing a lot of people on RUclips sharing their faith and it has been of great encouragement.
1 Co. 10:31
I actually used to be a pastor.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Now Gods taken you to school out into the desert solo like Moses or Paul. Hosea 2:14
Blessings!
The shots are worth the effort for sure until the season changes where the rattlesnakes come out then we would rather just see dash cam footage than you risking getting kissed by a snake!
