I'm guessing only some of the action sequences are in IMAX, and it's just basic IMAX at 1:78 (16x9 full frame) nothing like Dunkirk or what Nolan does with 1:90. Avatar 2 will at least be in 1:78 for the whole movie, so will be an amazing experience!

My hype level is through the roof for this sequel, I know that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is going to be the movie we needed that will be an emotional farewell to its leading man, Chadwick Boseman aka T'Challa, while expanding the world of Wakanda and adding a deeper layer to the MCU! Riri's "Let's go!" is basically my line regarding my excitement. 😁😁😁 And I'm excited to see Namor the Sub-Mariner, I'm sure he'll be a fearsome and powerful enemy for Wakanda, they're going to need all the help they can get!!

Please everybody I advise you to go into this movie with low expectations because Disney remembers how to make good trailers but they don't remember how to make good movies. In the end if you have 5 characters in the IMAX format they'll be too close to each other while if you go with the 2.39:1 format they cover the whole frame without that issue. Think that the biggest enforcer of the use of IMAX for movies that is Christopher Nolan knew that for Inception, with the amount of characters that would be in frame, he couldn't use IMAX because they'd have to be too close to each other and overlapping on the image. That's why Inception is fully shot at 2.39:1. Aspect ratios are important narrative tools and the same way that us filmmakers were tired of being pushed by studios to make movies in the wide aspect ratio of 2.39:1 because it was what made movies "cinema", we would be angry if they now said that if you are going to release in IMAX every scene should be in the IMAX aspect ratio because it'll be forcing something that maybe doesn't fit all the scenes.

If i see it at all I’ll pirate it a couple weeks after release when objective critics have had a shot at it, which contrary to Twitter’s popular belief just because the lead is female, gay, not white, or whatever check box is popular this week neither makes the film inherently better nor worse. “Diversity and inclusion” check boxes are no excuse for bad writing, female leads do no ameliorate bad dialog, and “the message” does not distract from glaring editing mistakes.
