Maybe try downloading an older version? I'm doing it right now, and I'll edit this if it works or not.

@sp5885 I figured out how to do it I use 4.2 aswell. All u need to do is change to cycles and it will import. You can even turn it off cycles after and it will still work

Please make a video on how to download a HDRI image using sketchfab addon and use it in blender. HDRI image is getting download as objects using sketchfab addon.

If the model is a bit bigger just wait a few minutes and dont click anywhere so it wont freeze :)

Yeah normally it takes a few weeks for plugins to update for tge bewest version of blender... in the mean time do it manually or use the 4.1 version :)
