- AHHHHH! I don’t know what to do! Do I pull for Robin? Do I pull for Topaz? Boothill? But then Sunday is probably coming and also Jade. Why do all the Honkai Star Rail updates have to go so hard? I may just wind up skipping HSR 2.2 all together, but also I don’t want to? But JADE. UGH.

I have many theories about this... especially about the boss... I have theorised that Sunday was Dominicus or at least granted power by Dominicus since this quest released. But I feel as if my theory is strengthened.
Dominicus is 1 of the 4 Harmonic Strings mentioned in a HoyoLab post called 'Pom Pom's special: emanator special' as well as a readable in penacony called 'A Hymn Of Charmonic Strings'
in my eyes Robin represented Harmony, she has much greater ties in theme to the Harmony. But Sunday didn't, it was even stated by Aventurine "is this what the harmony represents? contraint and coercion?" so it didn't make sense but he did align more with the Order, even the dreamscape itself aligns with the Order, in Ena's art it shows a bubble with the eye guy that sells dreams next to Ena. Sunday is even a control freak as stated by Aventurine which aligns with Ena's entry in Sim Uni. Penacony is built on Order.
"...Ena the Order. I quite like THEM - I don't mean THEIR personality, since I can't get along with control freaks - but I can envision an ancient and romantic universe fashioned under THIER unique "concept." The planets governed by Ena adhere staunchly to established rules, yet I must acknowledge that the various calamities in the cosmos were all hindered by Ena's guardianship, leading to extremely efficient development of civilization among diverse planets. The Harmonic Strings are not singular entities or people but they can descend upon members of the Family and take on their appearance. From Latin to English, Dominicus translates directly to Sunday, Hoyo doesn't add these details for no reason. This was the original basis on why I thought Dominicus was Sunday as well as many other details that I feel add up (i've wrote about it before but can't be bothered to add it all here), but it doesn't prove the boss is related to the two in any way... except for two things the boss drop and a line on a hoyolab post
the Boss drop from the echo of war, it was the last line that put it together and was shown for a short period of time:
"Stars trace your fingers' and command all living's law and authority... Sweet dreams nowadays have manifested, and the gazillions of old laws have all faded away."
This line is directly taken from the readable 'A Hymn Of Charmonic Strings', this readable had 4 Great Ones of Paradise (4 Harmonic Strings, the emanators of Harmony/Order) but specifically in the entry of Dominicus is says:
"O, Great One of Paradise,
Prayers you suckle from the millions gathered here, and the masses' heartstrings you play,
Stars trace your fingers' and command all living's law and authority.
Dominicus, do you hear?
The road ahead is dark without anything.
Thus authority points to the right, and the chaos coalesces into a river of stars,
Thus law points to the left, and that which hinders vanish into mist,
Sweet dreams nowadays have manifested, and the gazillions of old laws have all faded away."
There is more, in a hoyolab post called 'Pom Pom's special: emanator special' each of the mentioned Harmonic strings has a title. Dominicus is, Dominicus the wisher of the Harmonious Choir.
Harmonious Choir, Great Septimus is the entity that the boss is named... We see this entity take the hand and is granted strength, if Dominicus is the "wisher of the Harmonious Choir" then it would mean that was Dominicus' hand granting it strength.
Sunday isn't necessarily Dominicus, it could also indicate that Sunday was descended upon by Dominicus and granted immense power. These emanators are able to descend upon the Family members at will which was stated in the Hoyolab post

I'm personally torn. I love Robin SO much after this. But sacrifices must be made. I have Ruan Mei already and I have E1 Sparkle with her LC. I need to save through 2.2 so I can get Firefly and have a chance at Jade as well.

I was thinking about the boss's design a bit. It's a marionette with a halo and eyes behind it. You know what else fits that description?
Ena the Order, the Aeon that supposedly was usurped/absorbed by Xipe the Harmony.
I'm not sure what this means, but given the overall focus of Penacony's story, I feel like it cant be a coincidence.
@@deino9053 I definitely also think that Sunday is involved. I just wonder if there's a connection to be had? Dead aeons can still have an influence, right? Especially on a path that's directly connected. Sunday does seem to be able to use the "harmony" in a different manner compared to his sister, but who knows? Honestly just a fun theory, I've always been interested in the Order ever since Kafka brought it up back on the Loufu.

Skipping Robin is going to be really hard, but I think I want Boothill more. I also really want Topaz's light cone, but ugh, space cowboy takes priority. That event light cone is interesting, it kinda looks like a younger Gallagher and an older Misha.
He really is just so cool! Like, everything from his animations, to his swagger, to his voice, to his design is just SO GOOD. I may also have to skip Robin for space cowboy 😩 why are they making so many goated characters all at once?
Also, that's a good point. I'm really curious about Misha... I wonder if he can change form? 🤔
I had a theory before. The guy you called "younger Gallagher" could probably be Akivili before he went missing, and the "older Misha" is Mikhail - Misha's brother. Mikhail was rumored to be the Watchmaker, and the Watchmaker is said to be one of the Nameless.

It’s still going to be a skip patch for me personally thoughhh, I have way to many harmony characters built and I’m not a huge fan of hunt characters. I gotta save up for my sweet cinnamon roll and her easy bake oven. Also there’s a purple haired mommy that’s following her afterwards 2.3 is going to be expensive for me

Just to make things even more difficult for you... Robin works exceedingly well with Topaz, Aventurine and Dr Ratio. All follow up attacks based characters. I've really wanted Robin, but her kit is just almost un-usable for my current roster :( Already took the plunge on funny boi Argenti, so Boothill is a skip for me. But with your preference for shark boi, it isn't a surprise there's way too much to want in this patch. Even your Aventurine pulls levels of luck might not be enough :D

@@himetsukich Eventually, I've decided to pull for Robin and firefly. These two characters are ones that I've wanted since their intro in the 2.0 livestream. I'll figure out a team for them later. Lol. I'll not comment on the kits of the characters you mentioned, as that will be a leak. Hope you'll figure out what characters you want when the banners are still out :)

Yes! Boothill looks sick! I really like his design, and his kit looks really cool as well. I may have to skip Robin, but GOSH. That hurts because I do love her too 😭
Think about it this way, a prison is a place were people are being punished and held captive, because they are too dangerous to society, I can only imagine that there would be some prisoners that were not allowed to assimilate into the new Penacony.

The boss name is "Embryo of Philosophy Sunday" they just renamed him in the live as "The Great Septimus"
Maybe... im getting annoyed at the fact that no one actually died in that Murder mystery Penacony story.... or that IDK all the character so far from 2.0 to now are OP AF.... and make a turn base game into... not a turn base game.... but Boothill feel underwhelming.... and Robin feel like she power creeps Sparkle (sparkle released like 2minutes ago)....
also am really wishing hard that Robin is really dead.... its not I want her to die.. its just story wise like I said before its a murder mystery so it need a Murder.... also if she lives that means No one will ever die meaning no tension for future story... since no one dies... ALso I wish Acheron gets similar backstory as Aventurine had in 2.1.... that be cool...
You do realise that this entire time since 2.0 is was mentioned these were spiritual deaths as said by Sunday at the end of 2.0… the memory zone memes send you further into the memory zone, even the more shallow levels were hard for Black Swan to navigate, a memokeeper that deals with memoria quite often…
This area is not meant to be habitable by people but is manipulated and Penacony is the only place that creates a habitable zone in this environment… Aventurine said something about dying in a dream is falling into a coma in the physical realm… it was never physical death, I don’t understand how people interpreted it as such when in lore it makes no sense
The Dreamweavers whenever they sense someone die are fast enough to send a person out of the dream before they fall further into the memory zone, but the Death Memes accelerate this and send you so far that it is near inescapable for most… Firefly was able to immediately get back because she can’t dream, she has a device outside of penacony that can facilitate the entry into the dreamscape that is man made but the medical device also reawakens her in my theory…
There is a reason Penacony is falling apart, we have seen Gallagher a minion of the enigmata use the Meme death to kill Sunday, the Enigmata as a path wants to keep the secrets of the universe hidden. This is an area that is not meant for people at all. It is a mental prison meant to be inescapable.
In a readable in Dewlight Pavillion is said the watchmaker has abilities of the Enigmata, and if you interact with the Nightingale statues in Dewlight Pavillion it says there in an individual (I forget the name) that is part of the Shadow Family, this Family only contains one member and they are behind the 5 other lineages. This individual is also a pathstrider of the enigmata, we can suppose that the watchmaker is behind this.
Everything in Penacony has had a lot of spiritual ties not meant to be taken literally… The Harmony as a path also appears to be greatly influenced by real world religion as an influence in design (specifically Christianity)… they are obviously using terms differently on a more metaphorical level rather than literal so nothing should be taken at face value…
we’re dealing with the enigmata whose entire deal is messing up the truth such as the groups of enigmata (history fictionologists who re-write history, this is a big talking point with Clockie and Hanu who are figures who represent past events) as well as mess up communication (riddlers, the group that purposefully try and misconstrue language itself to confuse people)
Penacony is also built on the Order, Ena is the Aeon of Order who assimilated with Xipe, even looking at the art of Ena shows that Penacony was built on it… Sunday also represents the Order the clearest with how he acts… a Prison is based on law and order and is for those who commit bad actions
This is my theory:
in Christianity, sin (a bad deed that commands punishment, a crime) is what causes people to have a spiritual death (a common theme in penacony) which is a separation of God (Ena/Xipe) due to not understanding the teachings or going against them (connects to the enigmata purposefully trying to take control of Penacony to stop them from reaching “the truth”).
So essentially The Family is being misled by The Watchmaker who wishes to destroy Penacony or control it in some way to prevent a truth of universe coming out as they follow the enigmata, and those who come too close and want to discover it are sent to the further into the memory zones that are near impossible to escape…
