I loved watching sport climbing at the olympics, especially women’s events. I would love to keep following it during the years but I know nothing about it. How does one new to the sport keep up? Like, is there a calendar of competitons? Are they streamed?
IFSC is who organises climbing’s competitions. Their schedule is on their website. World cup competitions are streamed but they aren’t always available worldwide, which can be a bummer 😤
Nah, brooke is just 4cm higher. Ai didnt get the podium because she failed at the balance boulder that she definitely couldve sent. She was too nervous I guess
@@ozmundsedler idk 4 cm is quite a lot if you think about it like she might have been 2 cm off getting it but yeah she probably was a bit nervous on the slab
Agreed, would love to see dedicated boulder and lead events in LA, with athletes climbing two final rounds (2x 4 problems for boulder and 2 routes for lead).

The reason ai didn't see a podium is because the bouldering problems were very big for her she is only 5.1 she is winner to me she did so well in lead

Each sport does has its own most efficient length and physics , if you dont fit in that then it will be more difficult for you to become the best

Shouldn't be a combined competition. Both disciplines deserve to stand alone.
They could still have an all round medal like in gymnastics.
I agree, but rock climbing is such a new Olympic event... At least speed climbing became a separate event this year!!

Olympics are stingy with the medals they hand out. Its a miracle it isnt the old tokyo format.
