    Always enjoy watching any repotting vids, as they are just somehow satisfying to watch and with Danny I always learn a little trick or a tip 🍃 🌸
    would absolutely love a vid with Milo, he deserves a whole vid just about him 💚

      Hi Sophie, when (if) he recovers I'll def make a video. He's not healthy yet and tests show no infection or organ problem yet, we are just treating blindly and hope something works :(

    Thanks for the video. I need to repot my overgrown and unhealthy Zygo and I find your video super helpful. One thing I’d like to share is that I tried to put some moss in the pot before but it turned into a green moldy mess within a few months because I live in a cold and wet climate. So I learned I have to be very careful when using moss as part of the medium.

    I envy you. Your ability to keep orchids alive, healthy AND make bloom. Most die that I get. Or if I manage to keep alive. They don't bloom

    I am really impressed Dany! While I just managed to make my Nelly Isler survive, you've managed to master the infamous Zygo!

    Hi Danny. I always check for Fusarium when getting a new orchid. I was watching you go through it and gave me nightmares thinking I could lose my whole collection. So yes I use gloves, sterilized pots, peroxide. They are all in sw pots and doing well. My zygopedalum is growing by leaps and bounds and is blooming for the second time on 4 months! Also my sharry baby, and Charles Fitch are doing fantastic! I have them in a mix similar to what you used in this vid. I have quite a few others but all are doing great except my neo finitia. I had it in sw with spaghnum moss but I think it stayed too wet. I'll be buying another soon and will try sphagnum with some bark added instead.

    Thank you so much, I just bought a Zygo. Kiwi Geyser 'Jamie' HCC/AOS (Warringal Wonder x B.G. White). I was impulsive & didn't do my research first. So now I'm desperately looking for info. Should I repot it when I see new roots? I just bought if from Norman's Orchids, it's been about 1 week? I also purchased a Den. To My Kids 'Smile' (Den. Hagoromo x Den. White Christmas).

    Good luck with the plant, it is so badly infected and already quite dehydrated, without treatment the chance is very high that new roots and growth will fail or not even start to grow. Is there a special reason for not treating your plants at all? I am just curious, I have several plants with Fusarium in treatment and a lot of them bounced back. But I lost a lot of plants to the fungus before really knowing what it was, Rogers and Annas Videos helped a lot.

    I’d add Osmocote or some sort of slow-release fertilizer in about a week or so. Zygos are notorious heavy feeders. (Of course, if it is a zygo!) I’d probably still put a little anyway, just in case.

      Hi, no problem please don't worry! As I was saying I have reached a level if 'could not care less' with fusarium ;) 50% of all orchids have it, just maintain hygiene. Thank you again for the great gifts and I'll send back the Katrin Zoch as soon as I can :D

    Can I ask you what a zygote cactus is and how to take care of it? It's flowering like mad but don't know when or how to water and do I repair it, love Tina xxxxx

      Hi, I don't know what it is, it's not related to the Zygopetalum, but I'm sure a google search will help :)

    HI,MissOrchidGirl,how you doing? I love ALL of your videos,thank you so much for teaching us!! Ok,am going to tell you a little story. My oldest daughter give me a beautiful white phalaenopsis for my 55 bd on April. Am been following your instruction very well and it seen that she's healthy and happy. The problem is,I think she needs more space and the soil is old,I think,jajajaja! Am planning to buy more soil in the store that you,recommend. My question,can she survive in this tiny space for long or should I buy soil from HD?Thank you,and waiting for you respond!!

      Hi, If it is going out of blooms and the media is rather old then I would recommend changing the media and probably moving up a pot size.
      This was just from all the info I have gathered from miss orchid girl .

    After each cut, do you not have to put some cinnamon?

    • @MissOrchidGirl
      @MissOrchidGirl  5 лет назад +1

      Hi, I don't usually put cinnamon on the rhizome, as it's quite woody and dries fast. Cut pseudobulbs are a different story, they are full of water and sugars :)

    That does not look like a zygo, I think it's a miltonia. Nicely re-potted. I have one which keep on crowling out of her pot and root outside the pot. I need to use something like yours. Thanks for sharing.

    • @tinakauder6605
      @tinakauder6605 5 лет назад

      I know, and you re not the first to state this. ^^ If it is indeed a mislabled Miltonia, then one with strikingly Zygo-like blossoms.

      (My english is a work in progress) I never saw a zygo that looks like this. All of mine have very different pseudobulbs and leaves. Are you reeeealy sure this is not a miltonia?

    Do you have any suggestions for watering orchids.
    I've been watering them with an ice cube every 2 weeks for years but I think I need to find another way.
    One of my orchids is suffering from root rot and I've cut off the damaged bits but I don't know what to do to make the roots grow better. Do you have any suggestions?
