- As we leave Mallorca, I'm on deck filming the city of Mallorca and the ships emergency horn starts blowing, I only heard this at the beginning of our cruise when we went through emergency drills. I walked up front and saw several small boats crossing in front of us. The horn continues to blow as several idiots cross directly in front of our path. Don't they realize that we will win? Our ship is bigger...
"That's the 'We are Disney' horn" killed me omg haha
Daniel Yong same
I fucking love that horn damn
Same 😭
Dude agree hahaha... gotta love the captain for his sense of humor
Omg hahahahahahaha omg hahahahahaha omg hahahahahahaha omg hahahahahaha
Get the hell out of our way! (To the tune of "When You Wish Upon a Star"
No, that was the general ship alarm horn.
Andrew Ford no its when you wish upon a star the alarm is 7 short blast then 1 long blast
I was Here Well I hope that's not the case! That horn (7 short blasts, 1 long blast) is head to your muster stations, and lower the lifeboats. Every ship has to do a practice drill before you leave port, as that is not shown in the video.
Josh Lee XDDDD
Andrew Ford, I've been on carnival cruises where they just show a 20 Minute video explaining what to do. Not even making us get in the lifeboats.
Disney: get the hell out of our way.
mini boats: Oh how CUTE! Billy, say hi to the nice giant ship that is coming towards us.
😂
Chew Chew Cheew...... Crunch Crunch Chrunch!!!!
Would’ve shipped be like: WERE ALL GONNA DIE!
Your pfp fits well with your comment
*Cruiseship road rage*
*Captain*: FULL SPEED AHEAD RIGHT INTO EM!!!!
Bob Frankenstein *sea rage there's no road in the sea
Adolf Hitler ugh why do people like you always try to correct people it’s just s joke I’m pretty sure he knows there aren’t roads in the water.
Isaiah Penny
He's making sure the people are as perfect as possible before they join the Aryan race.
The Conservative lol
Party Dragon 300 like
0:17
"Well captain, lets give them a song to remember before we run them over."
😂
😂😂😂🤣🤣
they were like were disney don’t fuck with us we’ll run y’all down and win in court
😂😂😂😂
@ 0:17 If Disney ever had a Navy, I would imagine they'd play this tune before they unload their armaments.
Ha! I'll fix that...
contractki11er Symphonic Barrage Disney style
I love how you corrected them, but it doesn't make sense that way
contractki11er yeah
I would play its a small world to the full extent as I am firing off the heavy guns on em
If Disney was any fun at all they’d rename the boat “The Executor” and have the horn play the Imperial March.
The Lowmein Really? Disney is great fun. I know star wars is cool but no need to be so rude.
just plane crazy who was rude? lol
Until you realize disney just wants to keep their passengers safe and take this maturely so that real danger doesnt happen.
You are hilarious I love Star Wars
The Lowmein Or the “Death Ship”
Here you go folks. This is the official meaning of 5 short blasts.
When vessels in sight of one another are approaching each other and from any cause either vessel fails to understand the intentions or actions of the other, or is in doubt whether sufficient action is being taken by the other to avoid collision, the vessel in doubt shall immediately indicate such doubt by giving at least five short and rapid blasts on the whistle.
Please note that this applies to power boats. A sail boat under sail with no power augmentation has the right of way over a power boat.
Essentially the 5 short blasts mean WTF.
Unfortunately I doubt a lot of those private boat owners have no idea and probably just think they're saying hello
wrong, ship like the disney vessel is actually the stand on vessel and the yacht is give way, = reason disney vessel is restricted in ability to manoeuvre and constrained by draught
Semi-trucks have a hard time stopping if you pull in front of them; ships _cannot stop_ if you pull in front of them.
Little boats: “why do i hear boss music”
*TOOT DOOT DOOT TOOT DOOT TOOOT*
"get the hell out of our way"
*boats don't move*
"ok get the hell out of our way becAUSE WE'RE DISNEY"
Disney Cruise ship: out of my f###ing way midget boats
tiny boats: hi big boss
I was about to comment that
*Harmony if the seas rolls in*
Harmony: you should move too
Joey Palochak This is nothing compared to the oasis or Queen Mary 2
Until you realize that all cruise lines cooperate together, they dont go against each other.
Smartha It was a joke, chill out.
He does give 5 short and rapid blasts which means= is a danger signal used when the other vessel’s intentions are not understood or its indicated course is dangerous, However, if these sailing yachts had their sails up, that would give them right of way over the larger powered boat. Yet, Large motor vessels are given the right of way in channels where it is difficult for them to maneuver. The normal rule is Port (left) gives way to starboard(right) but that is normally for sail v sail.
keep in mind this isn't a small bought that can just stop it is a giant cruise ship. which gives them the right of way per being not able to slow down or stop.
most ports provide a escort of police or coast guard if they have it available.
id asume it's always big boat gets the right of way, yea the current course dangerous.. for you, nobody on board is even going to feel it when i sink your tiny sail boat
Sail Experience thats why titanic sunk
wrong the big boat does not always get right of way at sea.
there is actually no such thing as right of way.
international regulations to prevent collisions at sea apply.
the boats crossing are the stand on vessels as they are coming from the right hand side.
unless the Disney ship is restricted in her manouverbility or depth.
Imagine a ship with 100+ horns each with a different pitch, category , and they were labeled, and the ship operator was taught how to play some songs with it.
omfg😂😂
that kinda exists already
zenmaster26 that is what msc captains do
They juat have an organ inside the bridge connected to the horns
*shrugs*
"get the hell out of our way, we are Disney" horn
The captain on the announcements: *”Execute Order 66.”*
*blasts imperial march*
I think the ship might be a little bigger
I see no size difference.
When a ship is coming at you, you get out of its way, it does not get out of your way
“Oh hey look at me I’m stupid”
I’m not laughing, you’re laughing.
"i'll put you idiots on RUclips when I get home" omg that made me laugh and I'm about to die cause on hard I'm laughing
Alyssa Mae lol
He said that at the exact same time I read that comment
It’s the “get the hell out of the way horn” and the “get the hell back on the ship before we leave you horn.”
GET OUT OF THE WAY, we are Disney
Vcause0906 I'm the Captain now....
I'd love to see the paperwork that flew into the harbormaster's office that morning. You can bet the DCL captain had every number taken down and reported for unsafe distance.
GET AWAY FROM THE DISNEY MAGIC SHES TOO PERFECT FOR YOOOOUUUUUUU (the boat that crossed in front of her)
#DisneyCruising boats
Royal Carribean will make the sailboat look like it got bombed XD 🤣
the size of ship doesnt matter oh wait it does smaller = safer bigger = more dangerous. Also the size really doesnt matter, its the service and food quality. Disney provides 100/100 service and food.
Its not better, its the same almost, but disney and cunard dont operate in the same area, so its basically convenience for people that want to go on disney cruises in australia, and people that want to go on cunard in england, us, canada, etc.
Disney cruisers will never be as sophisticated and great like the Cunard line and the Olympic class linars
Why did I just now see a TikTok about this
Imagine if your on your private yacht in the night sleeping and you hear that horn then look outside and it’s a giant Disney cruise telling you to get the hell out of the way
“Boy that cruise ships gettin awfully close!”
CRUISE HUB:LITTLE BOATS TAKE ON DISNEY OCEANLINER
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The small boats, "Let's play chicken with a cruise ship!! They won't crush us"
Very fitting, being rammed by a Disney cruise ship. At least the last thing they hear is a horn blasting to the tune of "When You Wish Upon a Star" 😂
*get the hell out of our way horn*
The 5 blasts means "I'm unsure of your Intentions."
I wouldn't say people who go in front of a big vessel with their yacht are idiots. Sometimes it is very difficult to estimate whether you can pass the ship early enough or not, especially if one of the ships is changing its speed continuously.
If both ships had AIS (big ships always have, nowadays many yachts, too), they know in what distance both ships pass or collide. But if the yachts do not have this AIS-system, it's much more difficult. But of course the skippes could have been a bit more careful in this situation and could have passed the cruise ship at its stern, but I wouldn't say they are idiots :)
They all had their sails down, they're under engine power. As the smaller, more maneuverable vessel they must yield to the ship.
You are almost right about that. I am sailing for five years now and sailing vessels has the right of away compared to boats navigating with their engine. But that kind of law does not work with commercial or in this case bigger vessels which can't maneuver easiliy.
They have the right of way compared to any other pleasure crafts, irrespective whether those are sailing or going by engine power :)
yachties ARE in most cases idiots.
I would say there are few people who behave like idiots, but of course not all!
Who gives a shit
This is why their are Police escorts in and out of Harbors once the boat undocks If you go to Orlando and go out of Port conaveral florida or Miami or any big major port they always have a Police escort with harbor boats, coast guard in and out of port. The cruise ship leaving or entering gets priority as a VIP a lot of times if their are 3 ships docked during the day then as a port of call they patrol the harbor as security.
Safety First when I went in a cruise in Miami, the police boat came and used their megaphone to yell at a boat "move or we will board your vessel" it was a speedboat that decided to drive right next to our cruise ship while leaving port, the speedboat left after a few minutes!
wow yea we never seen any coast guard or Police boat do that once we undocked and ready to push back the harbor was cleared for an escort out of the port.
Disney captain: if in doubt Play when you wish upon a star
Brings me back memories and I miss the cruise so much.
Sailboat: I don’t care
Magic: move!!!
Sailboat: no
Magic:* (keeps blowing horns)*
"That's the "get the hell out of our way" horn"
yacht always seem to get in trouble in these situations. Many who think that sail gets way no matter what. Sail MUST give way to any commercial vessel. Usually navy is at top. Either a bunch of backyard warriors hired a yacht for a weekend not knowing basic rules or they are complete nuts. Five blasts of the horn means "What are your intentions?" These signals should be taught to anyone getting a boat licence... This is no different than a car playing cat and mouse with a train at a rail level crossing.
So wrong YCOMNSW. Don't just comment before you read the rules
No he's right. Working boats always have right of way over pleasure boats.
Read the collregs. If there is no other regulations motor ship on your right side have the right of way.
COLREGs Rule 9 Section b says that a vessel of less than 20 meters in length or a sailing vessel shall not impede the passage of a vessel that can safely navigate only within a narrow channel or fairway.
Rule 18 Section b subsection ii says that A sailing vessel underway shall keep out of the way of a vessel restricted in her ability to maneuver.
The cruise ship is clearly in a channel, and therefor rule 9 would apply. Rule 18 is up to more interpretation, but I would argue that a cruise ship is restricted in its ability to maneuver.
The captain over the announcements: *"Execute order 66."*
Ship Operator: "It shall be done, my lord." *starts playing Imperial March on the horn*
Captain: hay there's 2!
Co-captain: there gonna get what's coming
Captain: ok have fun with that!
Co-captain: ?
Co-captain: bye
I love how 5 fog horn blasts is essentially the ship saying WTF are you doing?!
As once a famous Disney Captain said "Damn the Spanish and their sail boats, full speed ahead".
"yeah, whatever, mouseboat."
Why would you be so stupid to cross a large cruise ship at its bow. This is natural selection omg
The rules of the sea is the smallest boat has to give way to the ship the ship will sound the horn three times and if it continues then he will raise them on the radio for a few choice words
DIsney: Get out of our way!
Them: Lets take a picture!!
0:17 “GET THE HELL OUT OF OUR WAY.”
Mini boats: Awwww! Joey, say hi to titanic!
The emergency horn sounds like my hubs snoring. Now if only I can get him to do it Disney style...😅
Basically what's it's saying is, "EMERGENCY, WE ARE DISNEY. GET OUT OF OUR WAY"
If the Magic is sounding their emergency horn, your are TOO CLOSE! And I got news for you, a collision between the Disney Magic and your sailboat = you lose.
It’s all fun and games until they get smushed
First mate:captain there are several smaller boats in our way
Captain:pshh hold my beer and watch this we got horns and a ice breaker
"When you cross a big ship's path, you might get handed your ass"
Good one😂
This same thing happened to us as we were leaving Stockholm on the Magic in 2010. I remember them blowing the horn, but I can't remember if they used the "emergency" signals.
0:13 "That's the 'get the hell outta our way' horn" XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Boss music starts playing all mini boats leave
just natural selection at this point
"It's alright honey. We have the right of way."
The "wish upon a star" horn would scare Somali pirates away.
Joseph Astier they should play "poor unfortunate souls"
That Disney horn makes me so happy😍😊😁
“Would you like to be cremated or buried at sea?”
what does it mean when the ships emergency horn blow's? doesnt it mean that the ship or a warning to smaller ships to stay clear as posed danger ?
It means "Fucking move before you get squished"
really ? & what does it mean to ships the same size like idk cruse liners
Basically it's the 'I don't know your intentions' signal but can also be used to alert others of a dangerous situation such as what the yachts are doing Yeah it's probably not very dangerous but regardless passing in front of a cruise liner it just silly and I doubt the yacht drivers even know any of the signals so to them the cruise ship is just saying hi
i thaught inorder to own a yacht you had to do a horn signal test or smmething as i alwayed asumed you as a yacht owner had to know what the signals are used for and what they mean
Olivia Alwen it means that if the ship is going to leave port or is moving and a smaller boat gets in the way they blow the gorn to warn them to get out of the way.
If you get in Disney's way, they will deal eith you in a very un-Disney like way
0:00 to 0:30 is the, "we are disney, GET TF OUT OF OUR WAY" horn
Without the cringey music, the horns do sound pretty badass
'thats the get the hell out of our way horn"IM DEAD!!!
"I am going to destroy you" So get the hell out of the way" Before I turn my guns on you" "It's a small world after all"
It's not like the giant ship is suddenly going to accelerate or swerve the other boats aren't idiots, they can easily pass in front or if they change their mind, they can turn around in about 7m distance and go the other way.
Magic: "ALL FORCES, ATTACK!!!"
*plays disney intro music*
when u wish upon a star.. those boats will move away
“Hey look at me, I’m stupid” oh how I hope they saw that!
Captain: "Ramming speed!!"
Same thing happened on mine. Mallorca. Fricken idiots. Done ever sail in front of a mega cruise ship. The horns were a little more pronounced and vicious than this. I was wondering if the captain. Had reached his limit. It was non stop horn. Basically no breaks. And these idiots smiling and waving. Would you smile and wave if we hit you? Nooooo you wouldn't. Hahaha
Get the hell out of our way horn? 😂
Comedy gold
bet those people also cross railroad tracks when trains are coming.
That’s not the Disney Magic, it’s the wonder.
Hi Mari, I was sailing on the Disney Magic when I filmed this on their Mediterranean cruise.
Don't Coast Guard regulations require private boats to stay a certain distance away from cruise ships?
THIS IS SO SCARY IT LEGIT MADE ME FEEL NAUSEOUS
I would get away from that ship if I was one of those smaller vessels. I wouldnt want Disney to sink my vessel as fast as they sink good movies.
The small boat had the right of way. Not the cruise ship. They aren't in a channel or restricted maneuvering area. Cruise ship sounded horn for Danger, but those small boat were in the right. Rules of the Road people.
Nope.. Sailboats must give way to vessels that are restricted in their ability to maneuver. Cruise ships are inherently restricted in their ability to maneuver due to their size. Sailboat should have given way. Also the ship was not under sail so....
This cruise ship is not restricted. Cruise ships are massive but also must follow rules of the road. They are not in a channel or somewhere giving them "special" privileges. They are simply trying to get near shore for their guests. And obviously the sail boat isn't under sail, rule of tonnage doesn't actually apply.
Cruise ship is in a channel. You can see some nuns around 0:32 and 0:37. Rule 9 of colregs says that the sailboat should give way in this case.
I think i know what the horns are saying: "get the fuck outta my way im Disney Magic, bitches"
0:17 is 🎵When You Wish Upon A Star🎵 WARNING: LOUD HORN
Realistically the boats crossing in front have right of way. But cruise ships and ferry’s will not move for anything.
someone is having a seizure on the control board
The city is Palma, and the initial horn blast is sounding collision. Lol, I love the Disney horn.
1:57 what a bunch of loons. Sitting on top of a raft on top of the roof of the ship and no lifejackets either.
its a yacht not a ship just shows how little u know about sailing
Actually, the way to know a ship from a boat, is "A boat cannot carry a ship, but a ship can carry a boat."
MrWolfSnack They were less than a mile off coast sp why on earth would u need a life jacket? The water is also only 30-40 feet deep anyway this close. Maybe if you're out at sea, you should wear a jacket but not like this.
Nicky L The idea that you can drown in a couple inches of water is idiotic and requires a complete lack of chromosomes to do
The adults not having life jackets on is fine, but the kids really should have had life jackets on.
I remember when I was 7 I went on a cruise on the Disney Magic and we had a horn battle with the SS Norway (formerly the SS France) at St. Thomas.
Don’t you just hate it when your neighbors boat goes of at night?
That’s the get the hell out of our way horn and that’s the we are Disney horn(:
Darwinism in it's purest form.
This is why really loud mics need to be on these. "MOVE OR I'LL SHOW YOU THE MIGHT OF THE DISNEY EMPIRE"
Cruise ship vs a few small boats, maybe a small scratch and maybe an idiot ticket
Sailboats actually have the right away but the Disney ship had no room to move
Watching this in 2024...the 5 blasts of the horn mean, the disney cruise chip bridge crew didn't know what the intentions were of the sailboats. Basically, they got too close to a massive cruise ship that was under way
Wow! An amazing group of boats displaying terrible seamanship at the same time.
No it’s the “we are Disney. Move if you don’t wanna get sued” horn
Or the “Do you want to get squished?” Horn
Sounds like "MOVE IT!! MOVE IT!!!"
He got me when "Hey Look at Me I'm Stupid and" You Idiots Going to RUclips when I Get Home" Hahahahaha
Been there many times while in the Navy. The Med. sailors think the big ships can stop on a dime. Dummies!
That's a creepy sounding horn for a Disney ship!
