Pretty neat and nice work. I did something similar with my Battleborn 100Ahr only I used a B&W International type 5500 case which is about half the cost of the Pelican. Then I integrated a Kisae DMT-1250 DC-DC / Solar charger. Later I did not like the charger integrated into the battery box and so have since torn it apart. The reason I found your channel was I was looking to see what anyone may have done to integrate their Battleborn into a box of some type. I also did a 50Ahr Battleborn battery and just put that one into its own custom made wood box together with meters, Anderson PP connectors, etc. What is funny.......I have an Engel fridge too! Is that meter a Fluke 87 V by chance....LOL. Like minds here.

Yes, it is an 87-V. Do you have pictures of your setup? I’d like to see.

How can I get my hands on that SB350 housing that you have mounted into the top plate?

Nice video and series! I'm looking to build something very similar. One question, why 4/0 cable? Is that because you're running a high wattage inverter in your "head unit" pelican box or because you're going to run multiples of these 100ah batteries? I'm looking to run mostly 12 VDC from a single 100ah battleborn with a small 150 -400 watt inverter that will be used only occasionally. I'm thinking of using 2 awg in place of 4/0.

Both. I wanted to be able to run high amps with minimal loses. I can’t do the wire size calculation for you without knowing your total wire length. Figure that out, then plug in your amps and it’ll tell you the size cable you need.

@@createthisdotcom Cheers, thanks. Yeah, I'm trying to figure out exactly what I want to power with this. My heads swimming with ideas and ways to use it. I should really narrow down specific use cases, figure out the power requirements, then start concerning myself with what wire gauge I'll need. Your comment helped me focus a bit. Thanks!

I think that’s an excellent strategy. I did much the same thing on my first unit, then upgraded and expanded when I decided I wanted more capability.
