Imo, not scoring enough is not necessarily a mistake. The ability to score is heavily tied to the game state. You either need to win a fight at a goal or get ray, otherwise you won't get to score, unless you're playing against people without eyes. Also, I don't think anyone actually neglects scoring. If anything, it's the lack of map pressure and/or map awareness that leads to a low score at the end of the game.
Absolutely this! Not scoring isn't an issue most of the time, specially when Rayquaza decides the match most of the time. The true issue is learning when to score. I've lost most of my games because my teammates would try to score at extremely inopportune times, and died during the process. Like, we just team wiped the enemy, but most of the enemy team is about to respawn, and before my team was even able to get a single score in, the enemy used the jump pad to jump on them and killed all of my allies, getting a lot of comeback exp in the process. One of the most common mistakes I see are people on my team trying to score 30 - 15 seconds before Ray spawns. They always get jumped, killed, and are out of the fight when Ray spawns. Heck, scoring at inappropriate times is the one of the biggest mistakes a lot of players do. It's why back cappers are so hated. Congratulations, you scored 30 points. Meanwhile, your team just died trying get an important objective, and now the enemy has the exp lead. Having a score lead isn't as important (not saying it's not important) as having the exp lead. Cause having the exp lead means you can dictate the game state of a match much easier.
I dont know why i love this game Even this game is disgusting and i lose most of the time, i love it The fact that i am starting to have anger issues bcz of it but i still am addicting to game and cant delete it 😂
if you make a part 2 sometime; It'd be amazing to have a point about learning important timers. Not expecting most people to learn every timer, but teaching about the essentials like 8:00 mid bees, 7:20 bees before first regi etc. Another good point would probably be playing around your lane partner. You can't influence the randoms, but you can adapt around them to increase your win-chance. An example would be picking a strong early game laner if your lane partner is weak-side early; or wise-versa. Or if your teammate plays for stacks, you can adjust your positioning and pressure more agressively to lessen the pressure on them
The arguments and points here is good. Made me realize some of my misplays. Also, now I know I should learn to manage my score points to the point it doesn't reach 50 which I always do. It ends me not scoring at all unless we defeat Ray
Disagree HEAVILY with the last point. I started winning a lot more games when I stopped caring about my noob teammates. There's plenty of situations where I, as a good player, can win a 1v2 and score but get CC locked and 1 shot in a 5v5. The only times you absolutely need to group are for bot regi, top regi going into base, Ray fight, or if they're pushing to score as a team. Otherwise look at the map for the best opportunity.
Probably interpreted in a different way. Not all of our team are bad. Okay... I am guilty of this, too. But acknowledge whenever it is your fault, because I do that, too.
Yeah unfortunate. I was playing meow so I could maybe get footage for a guide and we didn't get one. Luckily I clutched ray so won that game. Prob should've cut to that in the video for the ray portion
I agree with most of your points to You DO NOT Always NEED A DEFENDER. Sometimes You can run an ALL ROUNDER like Buzzswole or Machamp as a defender as well as SUPPORT mons like wiggilytuff and Mr Mime who can play similar to the defender role. The knowledge of what your team needs comes with experience. ITEMS DON'T MATTER!!!! This season I am 1600+ with a 54%+ ranked winrate, (IN SOLO QUEUE) and Ive ran Float stone leftovers Xp share On almost every mon including attackers like cinderace. The Main thing is Knowing what each item does and how to use it the best way to help your team. FLOAT STONE Is Great if you run a mon with alot of CC but is on the frailer side so at times they struggle to get in, (mons like drill peck dodrio for example) it allows you to flank the enemy team and push them towards your team setting up easy Ko's LEFTOVERS is okay if you know you team is gonna keep up the pressure allowing you to heal without recalling to re-engage or keep up pressure allowing your team to push more. VEST is good In draft if you see that the enemy team has 4+ spec attackers, (depends on the mon your running) SCORESHIELD is meh unless you really struggle at getting stacks early, (but tbh thats more of a skill issue) ROCKY HELMET.... Is trash its the only item in the game that Even with my vast game knowledge and 7k plus ranked games and 20+ seasons in masters can't justify a way to make work. As for "BAD" battle items POTION is okay if your build or mon can take advantage of it allowing you to stay in fights longer and avoiding needing to back to restore hp FLUFFY TAIL is okay if your invading. It can really help with getting neutral farm as well depriving the enemy team of xp especially if you remember to always use it cuz the cooldown is low GOAL GETTER Can Be Great if you use it to split push, (split pushing DOES NOT mean Not showing up to winnable objectives [Key word there is WINNABLE {example if 3/5th of your team is farming and the level 8 pika goes to 5v1 a team of level 10+ mons at eleki its probably better to push bot and score with goal getting]). Goal getter can give your team an advantage going into ray, (meaning the enemy has to engage first Allowing your team to punish according) Goal getter also its probably the best item vs Hyperspace Hoopa, because you can take away thier goals stopping them from warping as fast to objectives, basically making hoopa a non-character most of the game. The Main Hint of advice I have LOOK AT THE MAP!!! You can see your team you can figure out where some enemies are if anyone on you team can see them or if they are on on of you goals. Take note of this. If there are 5 enemies hitting something and only you rocky helmet greninja is up there Push the other lane cuz there are 0 people there. If there's 4 of you team down bot and 4 enemies are ko'd go defend top get vision or farm cuz there's one enemy unaccounted for. Little things like general map awareness will help you way more than what items or emblems you use. Edit: I know most of what you're saying you say as a blanket statements, (to cover more things at once more broadly) but unite is a way more complex game then people realize. And its the understanding of those Intricacies That separates an average to good player from a great one. The way this video is it'll help the bad players be hopefully average But its when you go into the little things that make players great . Good luck I look forward to seeing more content from you
@mitch.e2960 I'm sorry, but your point for items is just flat out wrong. Anyone rank up if they play enough. But yes, supporters can fill the role of a defender. But thank you for watching and it is good that you can challenge things because not everything in life is true. I'm happy your aware
@@Galactify_ I am only speaking from My Experiences in the game. that being an experience of 7000+ games over 3 years and 20+ season in masters with a overall winrate of 59% Primarily in solo queue. We can agree to disagree. But I do want to clarify things a bit more clearly. Do I think the generic optimal Builds are better?, (example focus band exp share [third item based on team comp] slowbro). In most cases, (90% of the time) absolutely, Especially if someone has never made it to Masters, and doesn't Fully Grasp all the intricacies of each mon, (the odds probably go up to 99%). It takes time and games to fully grasp how each mon behaves and how to match your items and mons the best way to make your team have the best chance to win. Note: Even PRO PLAYERS in tournaments Use ASSAULT VEST from time to time based on matchups, (LG Last Years World Champions Used ASSAULT VEST on thier Snorlax to Win this years LACS Tournament). That being said with my set knowledge and experience I can state from My vast ammount of games played and won, I genuinely don't agree with a flat blanket statement that "its never acceptable to use abstract (or "bad") items", (except rocky helmet that item is garbage and needs a full rework). Thier are a few niech cases that i listed where the other choices can be as good if not better, (again coming from years of experience). The truth is knowing when that is and how use set items takes Time playing games, (seriously I'd rather have a Float Stone, Aeos Cookie, Leftovers lane Cinderace that knows what they are doing than a xp share Wise glasses Spec glasses Clefable that ints). That being said I really don't expect players that have under 2000 games and have never made it to Masters to understand the intricacies that are in the game that make some abstract builds work and more importantly i don't expect them to know when and how to use them. To add to that point, even myself with my knowledge and experience in the game wouldn't want to teach newer players about these different builds because they would more than likely miss use the items and accompanied builds costing thier teams games. For example: A Float stone Attack weight scope lens talonflame paired with a Goal Getter, (A "bad item") can be good way to give your team the point advantage, Regardless of the level gap, going into ray forcing the enemy team to act first, allowing an easier engagement thus evening the playing field a bit for your team. However a player using that same build back capping at 1:45 when the ray fight is happening is awful and is not how to optimally that build properly to give your team a chance to win. Here's a fun niche scenario; A Slowbro with Focus band Assault Vest and Leftovers can be really good to take incoming Glaceon icicle spears that have already locked on to your teams inting and retreating jungle Greninja, (yes you can block them with your face) thus saving his life and not giving the glaceon a massive amounts of xp. And because of the shield from vest you take very little damage and more than likely don't proc your focus band and with the leftovers you can heal up the damage fully rather quickly and re-engage if its optimal. However a bad Player would let the Greninja Die giving a huge level advantage to the glaceon allowing it to chip easily through the shield then Ko the slowbro as well pushing the enemies newly acquired advantage. Its little Niech Situation like this that you only Get from playing the game alot that help you understand why sometimes the "bad items" can be just as good if not better pending on the matchups. You have to expect that (at least 1 to 2) players on your team will be below average and It is your job (especially if you're one of the better players on the team) to give your teammates the best chance to succeed. All that being stated. I do genuinely Prefer Videos like this. It's perfect for those players who either are just starting out, or hit a wall due to thier lack of knowledge and/or thier skill in the game being low. Videos like these will help raise the knowledge/skill floor of this game which is really needed, (seriously nothing is worse then being in a 1600+ masters game and getting a 39% winrate hoopa or worse a 36% winrate Mewtwo Y [like at least the hoopa will be more than likely wearing xp shar]). So I appreciate you making this video and will stay tuned for more content and the growth of your channel.
@mitch.e2960 Yes. Niche scenarios. The average player gets 0 use out of it and the Slowbro in question would do much better with Exp Share, Resonant Guard and maybe a buddy barrier or Wise glasses
@Galactify_ I agree For 95% of the players in the Slowbro situation especially for newer players, I'd replace the leftovers with xp share and the assault vest with resonance guard or cookie, (pending on if the enemy team has Umbreon, [which you can see the enemy team in masters cuz masters games are draft games]). I still feel that focus band gives more consistent sustain than buddy throughout the game, (and buddy barrier is not good if the enemy team has an Umbreon with Thier unite move cuz they'll steal both the shields). As stated earlier, (with vest) It depends on how many spec attackers are on the other team Right now Glaceon is Extremely good and Vest got a great buff, (its now a 20% HP shield that fills back every 8 seconds out of combat) so its actually a very good counter right now if used properly.
