“Your hair’s still wet from the fucking womb” is a legendary insult
Richard is also a gifted writer and movie director. Award-winning, in fact.
Yeah he wrote/directed amazing dark comedy film The Double, which has cameo apparencies by IT Crowd co-stars Chris O'Dowd and Chris Morris :-)
@@SamM_ScotI used to date Chris O’Dowds wife…😂
Joel McHale, who worked with him on the really bad US version of the IT Crowd (which didn't work because they didn't adapt it, like, say the US version of Ghosts or The Office, but because they word-for-worded it and the jokes are very UK specific so didn't work for US audiences) called Ayoade a "literal genius", and he's not wrong.
The fucxxng crow boy killed me😅😂
Richard Ayoade is a legend. His appearances on Graham Norton are hilarious including one where he is promoting one of his books which is about one of Gwyneth Paltrow's not so good films. He is also brilliant in Travel Man which is a series of trips to various countries with a 'star'. You should watch them
Travel man. Yes
Travel man is so good.
It was good when Richard Ayoade presented it.@@vincentking2552
Yes, Travel Man
Richard did a great show called Travel Man: 48 hours in... The one with Greg Davis is hilarious 😅
My favorite is him with John Hamm in China.
Helsinki with Paul Rudd for me
Recently watched some travel man, interestingly it was the one was this the female irish comedian in this clip Aisling Bea, they went to Budapest it was great.
Richard and Paul Rudd was a great episode
Hey you've got 3 IT Crowd members there, Moss, Richmond and Bill Krause (Adam Buxton)
Crouse*
Bang-on with Richard Ayoade's name King Boomer mate 👍🏼
For Matt Berry & Richard Ayoade watch Garth Merenghi’s Darkplace.
If Won Ton finds out, my arse is grass, and he's got a lawnmower!
His "bad" acting in that show is so f'in funny. The little glances at the camera etc. Genius
"hey (pivots stopping garth in the hallway) (dubbed over voice) you two were.... *Buddys* "
"I've not got one"
@@Blackfade84 nothing will beat him shooting a shotgun randomly in the air in that funeral scene 😂
If you like Richard ayoade and Matt berry they did a show called garth marenghi's dark place,it's amazing
Richard Ayoade is a national treasure. He is very famous and has appeared on many TV shows. He is very funny, intelligent, Cambridge educated and has married into a very well known acting family too.
Oh wow, I would not have guessed Richard Ayoade and Laurence Fox are brothers-in-law, that must make for an 'interesting' family meal.
@@donmongooseLaurence Fox is a twat. Couldn't even submit the proper form to run for Mayor of London again.
Yes, he is married to Laura in "The Work Outing" S2.E1 of The IT Crowd.
He’s not a “national treasure” at all. Not even in the same post code.😂😂
@@dannjp75 You can always rely on trite RUclips contrarians to put laughing emoticons at the end of their comments, just to amplify their smug self satisfied personalities.
One of the best things about the BFQ is the rarity. They do one "... of the Year" in late December, one "... of the Decade" when applicable, and one or two other specials, but that's it. They do manage to complete the actual quiz element eventually, and sometimes they become quite competitive scorewise, but there's always chaos as they descend into their disturbed childhoods and unearth petty grievances, especially treating Jimmy as a bad supply teacher in front of the worst behaved class in the school.
They did a "sports of the something" last year too, iirc.
Good summary
Yes, The BFQ is just a very extended panel show, consisting about half quiz and half everyone tearing each other and anyone else _'a new one'!_ 🤣
Richard was in a really funny movie called 'the Watch' with Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Jonah Hill. Where they form a neighbourhood watch to investigate a murder.
I think king and queen Boomer would love it!
Love Richard Ayoade but that is a crap film!
@@adamaalto-mccarthy6984Yeah I agree, Richard is a legend but that film was bollocks. His talents were utterly wasted.
Both Richard and Noel (Moss and Richmond from IT crowd) are on the show and amazing. There are so many episodes available and they are all amazing and descend into hilarious disaster every time :)
Adam Buxton is in this episode too, who played Bill Crouse in the IT Crowd episode ‘The Haunting of Bill Crouse’. It’s like an IT Crowd reunion 😂
It's a great show, Richard and Noel are just agents of chaos on it. Please react to more of them.
The new intro Is perhaps the best impression of Red Dwarfs Kryten I've ever seen 🤣
Please, PLEASE react to Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. It's got Richard Ayoade and Matt Berry, and also briefly Noel Fielding as a monkey. Matthew Holness wrote it and he is the main character, he briefly appeared in Friday Night Dinner as the guy who comes to collect the old sofa, and it's a brilliant parody of eighties low - budget horror. It's a view of Moss that you would never expect to see.
Garth marenghi's darkplace doesn't get the recognition it deserves, throughly enjoyed darkplace.
Richard and Noel were together in the Mighty Boosh. A show Queen Boomer and yourself would enjoy, especially later episodes
You know nothing of the crunch!
Bouncy bouncy, oo such a good time!
Richard Ayoade is brilliant as Dean Learner in garth marenghi's darkplace, Matt Berry is in it to.
Also, he was sitting next to Richmond!
The BFQ began as a New Year event and it's two hours of madness answering questions about events in the last twelve months . It was popular and they have made short series . It's always hosted by Jimmy but the teams change . Richard also hosted the Crystal Maze , a revival of the classic studio based adventure game show in his own unique style .
You HAVE to watch more of Richard Ayoade, he's fantastic. I'd recommend Travel Man, it would be an unusual show for a reaction channel (although you have done Idiot Abroad I suppose), but it is fantastic.
'Roy' has a hilarious clip of himself drunk on The Last Leg show... I'm not sure he ever did another live interview after that😅
Yes. It was very funny 😅
Roy? Don't you mean "Moss"?
@@lifesbutastumble No, Roy, aka Chris O'Dowd.
@@Ffinity LOL,I thought you were talking about Richard Ayoade. Thanks for clarifying 👍
I don't know if you've chosen your next show but if you haven't I'd suggest Garth Meringue Dark Side, it has both Richard and Dave (Mos and Dauglas), it's a spoof on cheaply made horror TV shows.
Only one season (with spinoff)
I lurved that show.❤❤❤❤
Try a game show called "Would i lie to you". David Mitchell and Lee Mack are captains. Good luck
Yes, seconded! But, Mr Boomer, watch an _entire_ show first not just clips, or the context of the clips will elude, and it won't be quite as funny for a first-timer.
The King is well acquainted with that show. There's loads of reactions that he did about a year or so back, especially the Bob Mortimer clips
If you want more of Richard Ayoade being himself. Travel man is a decent travel show he did that might be a good watch. But if you want more Rochard Ayoade as a fucking mad man. Watch Garth Marenghis Dark Place. Its totally insane but like in the best way possible. And unless its been taken down, i think they are all available on RUclips (1 series, 6 episodes)
That was great! I think my favourite Richard Avoade 'freaking out' clip was on a short-lived panel show called 'Was it something I said?', when he was paired up with Jimmy Carr. You can find it on YT under "Jimmy Carr Attempts to FLIRT with an Uncomfortable Richard Ayoade?! | Was It Something I Said". It's only a few minutes long, but definitely worth a watch.
The genius of Graham Linehan's casting and writing of The IT Crowd is that Moss is basically Richard Ayoade turned up to eleven. On the Beatles scatology game, Twist and Shite surely must be a contender.
Maxwell's Sphincter Jammer?
@@zak3744 Ew. 😏
The shite album
@@JohnJohnJohnJohnJohnJohnJohnJo A Hard Day's Shite. It was their turd album.
He was in a movie with Ben stiller Vince Vaughn and Jonah hill called “the watch”
Cracking up the whole way through the computer clip, cos I knew what was coming....👀🤷♂️👏👏😂😂😂
Yeh Richard Ayoade is a Legend!and the Big Fat Quiz is normally utter madness....👌🏼🤷♂️👏😂😂💜
Check out Travel Man, Richard is the host. It's a show about short city breaks. Richard is joined in each episode by a famous comedian. The ones with Greg Davies and Noel Feilding are hilarious.
So glad youre finally seeing ayoade outside of it crowd
The banter is the whole point of game shows with celebrities.
He's one of those rare people who absolutely no one seems to hate, he's just awesome, he did a show called Gadget Man which then changed to Travel Man and it was a different pace, it was just him being himself with a celebrity guest reviewing gadgets in the first variant of the show then going on 48hr mini breaks on the travel show, he even had some pretty big names as guests like Joh Ham, Paul Rudd and Rebel Wilson, plus some of your favourite UK stars like Greg Davies, Chris O'Dowd, Noel Fielding, Roisin Conaty, Robert Webb, Stephen Merchant, Bob Mortimer and Joe Wilkinson, I think maybe skip Gadget Man but Travel Man would make for great reactions as something a little different, or you could just enjoy watching them in your own time as I know you love travel and they go all around the world, I'm sure you'd really enjoy them, I'd love to see you react to some more shows like that which aren't sitcoms, you'd also love Taskmaster which Greg Davies hosts.
The guy richard is paired with at the start is Noel Fielding and he plays the goth in the basement in the IT Crowd.
Im sure you already knew that but just giving you a heads up
Shout out to Richmond and Bill Crouse from IT Crowd. I bumped into Richard recently - he was extremely dapper and polite.
You HAVE to watch his interview on Channel 4 news! He dismantles the journalist through psychology, wit and wordplay. The poor journalist tries to play along but ends up completely lost. It's a joy to behold! Even better than Russell Brand on 'Morning Joe' or whatever that US morning news magazine show is called and that was fantastic! However Richard, in the Channel 4 news interview just does it all so deftly, gracefully and with such intelligence! It really is a sight to behold! :)
Richard Ayoade, David Mitchell and Jimmy Carr were superb together on the first episode of "Was it something I said"
The full episode is up on youtube, and although it wasnt as good as other panel shows, the first episode was great.
Those school kids near the end are getting ready to start an ICT 1301 computer from the mid 1960-'s. Switch one on and you could wander away put the kettle on brew and drink a cup of tea before it was ready for you to load the programme to be run. It only ran 1 programme at a time. It occupied the space of a standard 3 bedroom house's ground floor.
Richard made a movie starring Jesse Eisenberg and there are clips of them doing interviews; but both are shy however as Richard was there director he ends up doing the talking and the conversation goes everywhere. So if you liked this check that out.
Roasting Jimmy Carr - Jimmy got in trouble with his taxes and on every show he came on for a while everyone would roast him on it.
Yeh you're getting the pronunciation right there mate👌🏼
And you should Definitely do more Big Fat Quiz, the whole show is Well worth watching!the embrace the suck lads are currently working their way through them all the way back to 2003! So there's Plenty there to get through, and I do think you'd really enjoy them! I understand they're a long reaction, but even if you don't have the time for that,I still think you and Queen Boomer would really enjoy them of an evening once the princess is settled for the night, nice wind down for you both...🤷♂️👌🏼😂💜
The Big Fat Quiz with Jack Whitehall and Mr. Blobby is a must watch.
NEED MORE RICHARD AYOADE ON THE CHANNEL NOW! ALSO NOEL IS MY FAVORITE
From what little I've seen on RUclips, the game mostly goes on like usual, with a bit of banter here and there, but anytime Richard Ayoade and Noel Fielding
get together, chaos invariably ensues.
For more of them together, by the way, you should check out the Mighty Boosh. It's a weird one though, very absurd and surreal kind of humour. It's probably be a show that wouldn't hurt too much if you check highlight clips of the show first.
Richard one really turns up hear and there (like Richmond in IT Crowd, maybe a little bit more often though), but there are still a lot of actors you'll recognise sprinkled in as well.
It's ever so funny seeing apparently 40yr old 'school children' from the 50's/60's.🤣
You need to check out "Garth Marenghi's Dark Place". Got Matt Berry and Richard Ayoade in it. Its bat shit crazy!
Yes! Love Darkplace.
Much love, Booms. Looking forward to the next IT Crowd reaction and I'm hoping you enjoyed Mania!
Most of them were in TASKMASTER!
You got the name right :) And yes, the quizzes often descend into chaos... but this one was a classic! They do manage to get through the quiz though.
Yean Richard's an extremely funny man.
Him out travelling with a sidekick is a treat!
Could see it wasn't quite hitting the mark for you King.... until the epic moment that Richard started using the F bomb dissing everyone LOL
Every quiz, someone brings snacks & as the quiz has gone on each year the snacks get more extravagant. There's been a full picnic basket, champagne & lots of sweets (candy)
Living on the coast of Cornwall (it's nearly only coast (I call it Poundshop Florida), I'm reminded of Jimmy every day.
It's just the seagulls cawing, but you take what life throws.
Love the new intro, thats real effort you put into that lol
The chaos on that show is the highlight, I think that’s why it’s a couple hours long, I also think this is the least chaotic one
Sean Locke and the Children acting is priceless from this quiz.
Sean Lock on 2008 episode is classic! 😂
"RICHMOND" NOEL FELDING AND AYOADE ARE ON THIS SHOW A LOT!!!!
Don’t shout
You were right with the answer to the clip, they were turning a computer on. The quiz pretty much always descends into madness.
The episodes with Richard and Noel (he's played Richmond) are always hilarious.
There are also highlight/compilation videos of those two from this show
Jimmy's laugh is like a car engine that won't turn over.
He plays his character so well, i sometimes believe he is serious
Like the intro, but I'll miss the
BAAAAAAH!!
BAAAAAAH!!
BAAAAAAH!!
😂
lol most people hate that one
ah yo wa dee is the general consensus
Nice intro =) there is some gold to be found at The Big Fat Quiz Show
If we're talking Richard Ayoade, you HAVE to react to his Channel 4 News interview with Krishnan Guru-Murphy.
Short, but a perfect example of somebody destroying someone who deserved it.
He directed a film called Submarine, one of my favs
That last bit was hilarious - fantastic to see him dissing Rob like that - brilliant.
You and Queen Boomer should definitely watch big fat quizes in their entirety together. So funny! XD
You realise that Richards team mate was "Richmond" from the IT crowd, Noel Feilding, right?
Please do more reactions to the Big Fat Quiz Show stuff. They are all amazing!
He's in a movie with Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn called The Watch, worth checking out some time
Just watch him in his show "Gadget man" and "Travel man" I love him!
The show is usually on once a year at new years called The Big Fat Quiz of the Year. The teams are given all the questions first each round and have to write their answers down to read out at the end of the round. There have definitely been a few this chaotic. Unfortunately it's gone downhill recently because the funnier guests like these lot aren't on it, but Jimmy does still host
You may also recognise Adam Buxton, from the episode where Jen haunted him for saying they slept together.
“Yooooouuuuuu B*****d!!!!!!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was at school in the 70's and the computer filled half the ground floor of the maths block ....
I'm digging the new intro
Exhibit A of why Richard would make an amazing Doctor Who.
Always descends into chaos especially when Richard and Noel are teammates.
His Travel Show is on RUclips and he takes comedians on weekend breaks, Lee Mack, cast of IT CROWD 😂
Well unusually the title actually reflects the topic. Hilarious 😆
Richard Ayoade stared in a sci-fi spoof with Douglas (ITC) and others called "Gareth marengi's dark places" (might've got spelling bit off) about twenty years ago, you should check it out.
You finished all my sweets!!!
That intro is fricking hilarious.
He also hosted the early series of Travel Man. It's worth a watch.
Others have said it but I think you'd love Garth Marenghi's Dark Place, it has a few of the folks from The IT Crowd in it.
Adam’s timing of “Sergeant Pooper’s Lonely Farts Club Band” never fails to buckle me 😂
Definitely react to full episodes with Richard and Noel
Big Fat quiz is hilarious. I know I'd love some reactions.
With the exceltion of Would i lie to you
The ancient fucks is actually my all time fav by Richard lol!
Richard Ayoade had two live shows the first is a travel man , the second is the gadget man .
See an early Richard in Nathan Barley.
Richard Ayoade and Chris O'Dowd are both hilarious in their own right. Check out Ayoade on the Craig Ferguson show, and I think O'Dowd was on there once, as well. o
Pronunciation was correct second time. It's Eye-Oh-Wahh-Dee
When you end the It Crowd final episode, you need to react "Moss & Roy Reunited - Richard Ayoade & Chris O'Dowd Best Bits | Travel Man"
Yes you said his name right
You might want to try Richard's eps when he hosted Travel Man.
Did you notice Richmond and Bill Crouse from the IT Crowd were there also?
