- After more than 6 years and 1000 videos, it's time for change.
We want to produce the very best content we can, we want want to enjoy ourselves along the way and we believe that is the best recipe for delivering the films that you will enjoy most.
Underwater filming is where our passion lies and from now our focus will be on taking our underwater projects to the next level.
For anyone that has supported us up until this point, we can't thank you enough.
Trust us with this one, buckle up and enjoy the ride!

i personally subbed to cyp because of the brexcyp series. i love the fact that you guys give out such raw, adventurous content because thats how i like to angle myself. best part of fishing is the adventure. id much rather watch brexcyp type content then having someone for a hour talk about,rigs, baits and only catch a handful of carp whilst sitting on the bank talking to the camera. take jim shelly for an example. his vlogs you guys put out are amazing an giving him the time to go out an film himself fish is so cool to me, his approach to fishing is exactly how one i day i would to eventually take up. theres not many companies out there that provide WILD CARP FISHING VIDEOS LIKE YOU GUYS but obviously WE ALL LOVE AN UNDERWATER! theres only 2 companies i can watch do an underwater an its you guys and korda and another example is the video with you and gemma when you guys went to franch and get gemma a PB. content like that is cool to watch too

I personally think that carp angling videos are not about how anglers are fishing but who people want to watch these days for example stick Terry on youtube and theres not an angler out there that wont watch it.Ive subbed to cypography a few times but only when there is someone worth watching like Tom Stokes at Burghfield for example.There are so many "publicised" anglers out there at the moment that arent particularly good anglers theyve just been lucky in the circles they walk in and people they know.Im not being negative here just honest in what i like to watch but i do like the underwater stuff alot so i would still watch this good luck in all you do cypography.
If that's the case then maybe our underwater films will expose that lol
I subbed for tom stokes at burghfield as I have walked the lake prior to his capture so knew about it and have stayed subbed because of the variety of anglers on this platform, I subbed to CarpFix as I enjoy pecky and Tom stokes and love to watch carp fishing videos, I rate the underwater videos but if your doing only underwater videos how will you keep it fresh and not just videos of anglers watching a screen. I know you can learn a lot but campaign videos are also great. Would you be able to do campaign underwater videos ?

damn.. reading jim has gone.. one of the big reasons i subscribed, gary atkin was superb, tom stokes on Bfield was great altho hes full kordarised now head to toe.. will see what happens

Looking forward to the change, i do love underwater footage more than anything as you can learn so much more. The only ask i'd have is to upgrade your underwater camera, even when you got it originally it was looking a bit dated. And now with the recent Korda footage and the incredible clarity it has it's time to catch up. Tight lines.

Will be nice to see some underwater films that aren’t just glorified sales pitches. I love Korda, so much so that everything in my tackle box and all my luggage is Korda. But that last underwater film was a pretty see through and shameless plug for the components used in it. Looks like I’m going to have subscribe to Cypography again. Think its great your changing got to move with the times i love everything you do and all your films love finding out about anglers lifes. Underwater filming is great love it but it does totally take away the mystery of what youve hooked and i like that suprise its part of carp fishing yes its great seeing what they do underwater but its been done now the advantage gained rig wise aswell great i like what you do already but wish you the best what ever you do 💯🙌
Thanks for what is a very honest and nice message to read. Take it from us though, underwater hasn't been done, far from it! He have so many ideas and so many places to go with it! We will put our style on things as we always have and even with that the mystery will never leave! I think it's a real shame what they have planned for the platform's future. The platform exists because of its subscribers, so making such drastic changes without at least seeking their feedback doesn't seem right to me. I subscribed because of the content that was available and being produced. If I wanted to watch underwater footage, I'd just watch the Korda videos or those already on the platform. I pay my subscription quarterly, and unfortunately, I just renewed at the beginning of the month, but I doubt I'll continue my subscription. It's a shame because I really enjoy watching Elliot and the team do what they do best.
How do you know what the change is please?
I think you’re suggesting that you’re not going to enjoy what you watch? When I’d absolutely expect you not only to enjoy it, but even enjoy it more than you do already!
It also suggests that what we’re going to be doing is the same as Korda underwater film, which is also not the case! :)
If you watch this video to the end you’ll see that we will in fact continue to produce content you’re familiar with, and that we will take underwater to a new level, which will involve a blend of everything you know Cypography to be.

Yh im staying onboard chaps, I don’t mind a bit of the underwater stuff, don’t get me wrong whenever I watch the Korda boys doing it, I always come away thinking they could have done more, hopefully we’ll get to see that with you boys. Spombing in front of a camera being one of them, are we actually as accurate as we think when wrapping up, couple that with different conditions when spombing…..ie strong winds, that for me would be an interesting one.

Hi James! We will be making them all year round! We actually made 4 already, last winter with Tom Stokes, it wasnt easy but we pulled it off in the end! Its the 'wicked winter' series on our site/app. We have so much great footage already and cant wait to start releasing it. Our first film of the new era is Gaz Fareham at Hardwick Lake, Linear Fisheries and what happened was insane!
I do like the underwater stuff, but not every film although it would be interesting to watch different anglers approaches as korda are obsessed with tiny hookbaits it seems and nothing else. Id love to see the fish reacting to snowmen,tigers,double 18 millas, pop ups, etc.How many times can someone show you how to tie a ronnie or a multi rig or how to spomb?? There's only a finite amount to show. Most are just regurgitating the same old thing!! It must be very difficult to keep people interested? Brave decision, el !!! Good luck.

Elliot you need to do what’s best for you juggling everything in life must have gotten to a breaking point work family personal fishing etc hopefully this will make you happier and give you a better balance
The main thing I missed about CYP was your own diaries I understand right now not really possible going after the BC you don’t want to give the game away which if fair and your entitled to keep certain things for you
Maybe consider a slightly reflective piece talk about previous campaigns or periods in your fishing I’m sure you’ve got some great stories to tell

Oh dear . Shame really I honestly people need to learn more watercraft by going and doing it rather than downloading it anyway.
Used to like watching Rob Hughes underwater clips. Agree there are too many channels that are practically the same now. The one thing i'd like to see is different, less known venues. Too many people chasing big fish on big well stocked venues/syndicates now. The majority of anglers fish local waters. Would love to see how crayfish affect your fishing/rigs etc and how carp react to them.

Maybe this is a well kept secret ive been carp fishing 35 years but not out lately. I know 💯 theres something very special in there along with cars a gravel machine that got left in there its hard work just what i like love to get on there fished the little one beautiful.
finally the penny has dropped...... sadly the subscription needs to be reduced..... soon as doubt creeps it could be or maybe tricky to resolve ....but good luck and remember being born with a silver spoon and driving around in a big fat merc in a large house can sometimes makes the clients think there over paying.

You make a good point, and I hope that part of the message isn't missed because its and important one! We've never made 'the same stuff as everyone else' and we aren't going to start now. Our films as always will different, varied and true to our own unique way of doing things! These films will be the best of all worlds!

I've always fancied subbing to watch the content but never have, only reason is my mate subbed for a year a while back and then wanted to stop, literally had to hound you and your misses to stop it to the point you misses actually got funny with him like wtf.. might be a one off but who knows
Tbf I had a problem once with my subscription and I eventually lost count of the amount of emails I sent regarding this problem with not so much as one reply also had pals who had similar experiences regarding correspondence, maybe something you could take on board going forward
Honestly mate, we have replied to every single email we have ever received! Genuinely, I don’t how these things happen but they do!
You’re not the first to say this, for sure, but we have no idea how this happens.
Quite literally every single day we are replying to emails from the likes of yourself, always have, always will but we can only do that if we receive them and that isn’t always the case.
Why? I don’t know!
A lot has changed now, so much more is in your hands in terms of account management etc, so fingers crossed it makes the difference we hope for.
Failing that, we are always an email away, or at least we try to be!
Not everyone will like this change but personally, this is great news!
I love the underwater footage, even when your not catching you're learning.
The underwater also gives you the ability to conduct interviews and talk about rigs all whilst there is down time in front of the camera. Seems like a more exciting and natural format if you ask me.

Underwater films are pure class, but is a very competitive market, so i think its good to continue to diversify when you can. Plus, I know a damn good amount of people who sub to Cyp to watch Ell's personal fishing (cypographer/cold water campaign in the early days etc) just a shame the bloody bloke is so secretive!
HaHa i have about 5 years worth of footage I'm yet to release, but i will do at some point =] In the meantime, ill be sat in the chair next to the anglers digging into all their secrets! If you like underwater stuff, I'm sure you'll love what we have in the pipeline =]

I think short term this is a brilliant idea, yes you’ll lose some current subscribers but you’ll gain a new breed of subscribers, as you said you can’t please everyone. BUT… how long can the hamster wheel keep turning?… how many videos a month will you aim to put out with everything that’s required to produce an underwater shoot? Will it be pay per view or subscription? What about winter times when the lakes have lids on them or warmer weather when the clarity is poor?… not being negative atall as personally I think it’s what a lot of anglers could sit and watch all day and can use to improve their own angling but once again you’ll have to make it so unique compared to what’s already out there that I can guarantee it wouldn’t be long before the likes of Korda, Nash and many more once again jump on the band wagon and ‘out resource’ time wise and financially that I’d be worried that what you have stated has happened to cyp in regards to competition will happen all over again.

@@cypographycarpfishing Just heard about cinecarp going free aka youtube only.... like a lot of low barrier to entry biz's the competition comes and goes :) greatest thing thats lost on most with content is that big stars don't make it a success, its innovate or die. A week on the broads with pre baited spots and someone decent... imagine that! Guesting features, POV style stalking with multiple spots holding under water cameras. Euro canal content is seriously still slept on.

If you only do underwater films. That limits the venues you can film on. It’s gotta be clear water and on a gravel spot. Will get boring watching the same sort of thing each episode
Nope! That’s not true, we’ve already done them in the silt and amongst weed, most lakes are clear for a certain periods of the year! Dont worry, we’ve got this covered 😊

We make videos that are different to the norm, that you can’t and certainly couldn’t find so easily elsewhere.
You should subscribe because you’ll probably love our films, and for the sake of £9.99, even if you decided to watch all 1000 of them in your first month, that’s a bargain! 😅

Alot of emails with absolutely no answer at all, and guess what, i still havent heard from you or had my money back, and im not the only one.

Hi There, everything has changed, thats a big part of the message in the above video. The cancelation process has also been made easier and was big part of why we changed things, to make everything easier. In relation to what you've said, if you've sent emails and not had replies, we haven't received them, it's as simple as that - why that is i'm not sure? Hand on heart, we have ALWAYS refunded every single payment in any of the cases like this, always have and always will. We'd be crazy to think we can survive as a business by doing anything other than that, and we're not those type of people! @@leeh78as mentioned, a huge part of transition to new websites/apps was to combat this issue as we know it wasn’t the smoothest. It was at the time, the only way we had of doing it though, over time we realised it needed to change, and it has now changed! It’s super easy now!!!

Not something that I’m keen on, yes underwater can be awsome….. but… there’s so much more to the sport than this 🤷🏻♂️

I feel this is a mistake, I subscribed to watch lots of different anglers there stories the adventure. Underwater has been done to death how many of those films can you make the adventure and challenge of carp fishing is the unknown . Best of luck but deffo disappointed

In my opinion this is a flash in the pan, it will get boring and soon people will want to watch the Terry Hearn style films again.
Not that I’ve ever stopped watching them, but that’s my take. This will get old fast, only so many times I can watch a carp do someone’s rig while they act shocked 😅

Be plenty of adventures going on don’t worry about that, try not to assume that everything we do is the same what you might have seen in the past! You’d be wrong to think that! Have faith, everything that you’ve ever seen in Cypography will be blended into our underwater projects! You’ll love them !

You'll need to move quick fellas - Tom Maker and Cinecarp have just announced that they are going onto RUclips and all their footage will now be free - they are also doing underwater stuff. I can see a lot of people unsubscribing to these paid companies. Consequences of a saturated market I suppose.
Step away from the usual Burghfield. Yateley stuff - all been done to death. The future of videos is Rivers. Expeditionary fishing abroad and start to diverse Cyp into other areas of specialist Angling. I can gurantee fishing for other species will be the next big thing, get ahead of the crowd as carp fishing has been done to death - few under-waters would be good but keep a broad church on what you do. Shape some content around the average guy that works and holds down a mortgage family etc and has minimal time for Angling - watching guys doing 4 nights a week such as Stokes. Holness etc doesn't resonate with the majority of anglers as they simply do not have that amount of time.

Ive been on cyp since the start. Other subscriptions have popped up but cypography content has always kept me on. Great content and regularly. Submerge is on another level.
