    I think where Perk is miss it on these “potential trades” is that he keeps saying “if you’re gonna win a SB…”. But the point is, this is clearly not a SB team and people are proposing these trades for the future of this team.

    Getting the veteran backup for Tua would have been a great plan for last year and this year but we’ll be going into year 6 with Tua. We’re not going to a a SB next year riding with Tua. It’s time to move off of that and draft a QB in round 1. Time to get out of the delusion that Tua and MM and this current rebuild is taking us to a SB.

      How so? Poupart, Perk, and the rest have said time and time again, why Ross may never fire Grier. Grier is the ultimate survivor. He picks the players that coaches want (for the most part) so it deflects the blame from him. I don't like it, but that is the truth. So, the Fins are always stuck in this nasty cycle.

    The Phins actually regressed this season. Their window was open last year...that thing is closed tight and shuttered now. There's no reason to continue to plug holes in a sinking ship. The roster was built from outside in instead of the other way around. Skilled position players are shiny objects, but the game is won and lost in the trenches. Chris Grier built a paper tiger.

      The Fins didn't have a window last year either! How many of kept saying, the OLINE is the issue?? And Grier laughed at us. This year, that has become the biggest narrative from the get-go. We may disagree but, for this fan, I never believe the Fins window was last year or the year before. They didn't do enough to show me, that they could take the next step. EVEN if they still had Wilkins, AVG, and Hunt this year, ALONG with the talent they brought in, still does not put then in the window. It starts with the OLine, and then, the playcalling to run the ball consistently (Maybe if Armstead & Wynn could stay healthy for a season, Brewer at Center, Hunt at RG with A Jackson at RT, then we are talking but we never will see that. As we know, it's not Madden). I blame Grier and McDaniel. We all know how movie will end this year. Fins Up!

    Grier has missed on way too many players in the first three rounds of the draft. He has got to go! I’m not letting that bum trade ANY players/picks. He’s done enough damage to this franchise.
    Why is the team so injury prone? McDaniel is way too soft on these players and they’re taking advantage of him. Any little bump or bruise and these guys are sitting out of practice. This team, as constructed, will not win a damn thing.

    The whole idea that we need to find a quarterback that can do quick reads is b*******. No other team has their offense playing the style of football. And that's why everybody else has a better shot than us as far as going to the Super bowl. We need to completely cash out on Tua let us go and continue to build an offense that has pro style. Huntley has shown us that he has trended upwards and his first two games. And even got us to win as bad as it looked he got us to win something that two of us not doing the first two games. Let's be real we were one punch out away from being 0 and 2 with Tua starting off this season. And let's tie that into last year where he went 0 and 5 at the end of the season

    A rare disagreement with Perk here. You don't look to draft a good QB high knowing your current QB is injury prone but your back up is an over 40 year old Flacco or Andy Daulton? I'm sorry, are Tua's injuries moving forward supposed to miraculously subside? Wouldn't you want to groom a QB who could eventually take over once Tua's contract ends? You can make the argument that this team can actually do both. Veteran journeyman & draft a QB high.

      Good Point. This team's is very short sighted in that dept. I think this team tried to do this with Skylar Thompson, but let's keep it real. Skylar was a projected 7th to UDFA prospect. Fins could have had Brock Purdy, WHO was projected a late 3rd to high 4th round, to 7th rounder prospect. It just depended on the system he is in. There was an article that I read, that said, Purdy would fit in McDaniel's type system. yet, the Fins opted for a play who was not being projected to be draft. That is silly. And to add insult to injury, the Fins signed Mike White who really didn't show much. A very bad signing.

As for concussion prone why don’t you go ask Mahomes about his 3 concussions, 2 in one year, and get the chiefs to draft his replacement?

    • @drewstar412
      @drewstar412 27 дней назад

      Slow? LOL...Tua has one of the fastest releases in the league, my guy. He is accurate and read defenses well too. Weak armed..well, a lot of QBs are weak armed. Not every QB can have a Dan Marino arm, so lets not act like there is a lot of QB who have Chad Pennington had the label of weak arm, but he had one of highest pass to completion ratios. Tua last year, lead the league at one point in pass completions. I normally don't promote channels but Phinside the NFL and Ryder McConville both do a super good no nonsense film breakdown of Tua's passes. They both take down that fake narrative on Tua. Fins Up!

    I must say this if Tyler Huntley can come into our office and take us to 2 in 1 under him especially if he had turned it up or did in his gameplay. This dude had made a big jump from game one to game two. Let's not forget he was only in this offense for less than a week when he came out and game won game two he looked a lot better with the week to practice under his belt. Yes he missed a lot of Keith Rose but who is expected to get in sync with water and Hill with less than a month of practice. So what I'm saying is if he comes out and he looks a lot better I would much rather see where Huntley ceiling is at as compared to tua that we already know

    Poop brings up the 1-4 team from 2016 that turned the season around and made the playoffs. The question I would ask is, did that team make the SB? Did that team win any playoff games? It’s not about just making the playoffs. We in the “doom and gloom crowd” is noticing some core issues of this team. As you pointed out, this team hast been good since last year in the Jets game. Coming into the season, I believed this team was a 7 win team. They’ve done nothing to address the issues that made them unable to beat good teams last year and this team simply looks worse this year. That’s what it’s all about. I’m not interested in watching a team that is hoping for everyone else in the AFC is bad enough so that we can scrap up enough wins to make the playoffs just for the sake of making the playoffs. Or, to win enough games to miss the playoffs but win too many games to be out of the top 10 draft picking order.

    Teddy Bridgewater wasn’t even an option. He is very happy as head coach at Northwestern high school. It is really hard for an NFL player to get a good job after retiring. He’s not gonna give that up to play one year as a back up and make a couple bucks. Plus, it would make him look real bad in the high school. And Teddy is just not that type of guy. He’s a standup gentleman who gave his word to Northwestern.

    Perk on drugs iif he thinks this team will sniff a playoff next year. Now I wouldn't trade for a Bryce young, not cuz of the price of a conditional 4th but his stature and skillset. He gives me Pat White vibes. We need to draft a qb high to develop to be back up and or a replacement for Tua. Scared money don't make money. Jimmy G helped the 49ers to the superbowl in 2020, they gave us a haul to trade up to take trey lance, they then got rid of trey lance after 2yrs. Jared Goff had good run to the superbowl in 2019, then was mid for a couple of yrs they got him up outta there for Matt Stafford. Broncos paid russ big money and still moved on and got another qb. GB drafting Rodgers while Brett was in his prime, then drafting Love with MVP Aaron Rodgers. The nfl is litered with examples of teams drafting or trading for qbs to early rather than too late and they're usually the successful franchises. Then there's the Dolphins who are scared to draft true competition for the qb, and it's not just Tua they did the same thing with Ryan Tannehill. And I was a Tannehill fan and new they should of drqft D or brought in some real competition. We don't need no old middle of the road qb as a back up, the time for that was last yr and this yr.

    An average backup quarterback has a month of preseason before the whole NFL season even starts. So the fact that we gave Huntley not even a month and he's already 1 and 1 with us possibly two-in-one if he beats the colts, how can you say that he's not a legit backup quarterback if he comes out and looks a lot better than he did the last game means that he is his trajectory is going up I would rather leave him in and continue to watch him grow and get better than they already know what tuas ceiling is.
