An Azure Managed Identity is a special type of service principle. When enabled, it is directly tied to the resource. The service principle of the managed identity can be used in the same auth flow, except instead of client secrets or certificates they are automatically created, including the credentials, so no one knows them.
Even after using Service Principle we cannot use it directly. We will also need to generate Bearer Token using the help of client secret, client id, tenant id. This Bearer token will actually authenticate external services to interact with Azure resources. Can you please create one more video where we generate 1. PAT token in Databricks for SPN 2. Bearer token for Azure Rest APIs for automation.
