The main part of a review of an optical instrument is an evaluation of the optics (chromatic aberration, for example). Which you did not do. So this is not a review. Maybe you could test it out both in daylight and at night (how well does it focus bright stars, for example), and post an update.
you are completely right. Im not a fullon expert on optics etc though not to mention those things are very hard to explain and showcase properly on camera, since the viewer cannot look through the unit with me. BUT points taken, nexttime i have a similar review ill make sure to include more technical data and review points
This spotting scope is bad, edge to edge clarity isn't good, flushed image, low light performance isn't good either and chromatic abberation is pretty noticeable.. Returned, wasn't surprised for its price if you want to be very serious and jump a mile stone to alpha class then i recommend to get nikon monarch ED82-A. Simply one of best scopes out there
Nice Review. I have a question. The Bresser has Bresser 20-60x 60mm Spotting Scope which has same specification as this Scope. I guess even the Optics are same. So are both almost similar in quality. The NG scope is around 10 Euro (~15 uS$) more expenisive. so I hope
Hehe, no real downsides. Surely there are downsides if it costs a third of the price of other scopes on the market. Would have liked to hear about the optic comparison. For instance, I'm battling to get it into focus at max magnification.
+Thibault Schraepen that all depands on how much detail you are looking for. You can certainly spot planes and get a decent look at them since there is plenty of maginification in the scope. BUT that said, there are also plenty of scopes available that offer much higher magnification, at a higher pricepoint as well. If you wanna do plane spotting, you most certainly need a better tripod than included here though
+Thibault Schraepen, I think as for optical quality and magnification: yes. But when you consider fog and dust it will ( in this hight ) be soft anyway...
Hi . what is the maximum distance covered and accurately with this device in an open area , as you said we can observe stars , so does it cover a distance more than 1000 km . regards
1000km certainly not if you want any kinda detail. Id say on a bright night, you can certainly get an awesome view at the stars, especially when using a big tripod for stability. In open field, trying to actually see something id say 2-5km or so, depending on the light and weather
I am sorry I wrote 1000 km , I meant 1000 m which is 1 km or more , so is it possible to see clearly an object like a man at a distance of 3km or a bit more . if not which scope do you recommend to buy ? thank you
I am familiar with the metric system :) Yeah 1000m is fine for good detail. You wont be able to read a book at that distance, but certainly make out faces etc around 3km you can make out some features, but obviously its going to be harder at that distance
I see, thank you for answering my questions, I like wildlife, and I need a land telescope that can help me to detect objects at a distance more than 1 km ,What land telescope do you think I should buy best regards
ty for this revieuw , ima buy it , seems a good starter , i have a bigger tri-pod myself :)
Watching the jupiter/saturn alignment these days with it. Works well.
I'm about to buy this scope. Can I watch planets with this ? Do it have satisfying magnification??
I struggled to watch stars with this is there anything wrong m doing? But only had it for 1 day
Thanks for the rev. Quite amusing for ten mins .
No review at all; just getting it out of the box. Where is the field testing/evaluation?
We use them. Excellent.

+Vivek Mathema this Nat Geo scope is actually made by bresser, so they are identical except from the Nat Geo branding

what about the lens and magnification quality?
I can't get a proper picture on mine. Hard to see the object. You need to have it on a table.
oh yeah for sure, taking pics through a scope is a whole challenge in itself
Lidl's have been selling this for £26
THE BEST SCOPE FOR OLYMPIC SHOOTING.25METERS AND 50 METERS.A FANTASTIC TOOL.
Is this scope good for spotting planes at 40.000 feet high? (12kilometers)
