Regarding controller and mobile players: For controller players, all of this still applies except for sensitivity. Set your attack button to your shoulder button and not your trigger button. It'll be a weird change but you will get 2-4 more cps doing this. Your sensitivity should be in the 80-100 range but try using 88 for a start. Some controllers can adjust the tension on their sticks, so use that as you please. As for mobile players, i have no experience on this platform, touch and split is a completely different playstyle that ive never attempted. Sorry to all my mobile players. I recommend you watch some good mobile players on youtube and learn from them. Strafing and movement: When you pvp you should never back up or give someone more momentum than you. The only times you should back up is when you need to run away from a combo. If the fight is going to be long, you want to strafe alot to get extra hits, but if the fight is going to be short (like 4 hits) you want to just straightline and click as fast as possible. This will ensure you to always get first hit. Projectiles: While using projectiles, put them in a spot in your hotbar where you can switch to it easily. Projectiles will save your life so much its not even funny. When you're aiming your projectiles, dont just throw them in the direction of your opponent, instead try to throw it in the direction you think they're gonna go. Doing this will allow you to hit more and use less. W-tapping/S-tapping: These tapping methods should only be used to create space in combos. You should never use it for any other reason but that, this being if you mess up and do it too early you will sacrifice the first hit. Ultimately losing the trade. Instead, use walking to your advantage. Walking will make you still go forward, just not as fast and it wont be as much of a risk. Crosshair: This is all personal preference. I like the crosshair in my 30k pack so i recommend you start there.
More tips: 1. W/S tap when within 3 blocks of your opponent 2. Try to jump reset when trading. This gives you the best chance to A) not mess it up and B) get the most free combo of your life. 3. Strafe. It’s OP
@@spookermc when you are trading hits with a person. As soon as you hear their hit register you want to jump. It takes some practice to get down and is a very risky play but if you master it you will be a hive sumo god. If I were you I would watch a tutorial dedicated to it.
kind of disagree for the number 3 coz u take more kb when u strafe, depends tho if ur opponent is good, try avoiding to strafe that much some scrim players when trading dont strafe so they can take less kb and jump reset or to increase their chance of comboing and for the jump resetting scrim players have secret way to jump reset and i still dk what it is if u watched piglinmafias vid for jump reducing or jump resetting he said that u need to jump every third hit which technically works but i jump every second hit cz the first hit doesn't actually change if u jump
@@seannn8946 jump resets vary per server. Also stafing is very good if you can through your opponents aim off you have a much higher chance to win the fight. Also I’m an Ectary main so some of my tips may not be toooooo good for the hive which I don’t play as much.
Thank you Crane. I dont regret subbing to you at all. Your gameplay is so smooth and good and the subjects/Topics of your videos are just so helpful and entertaining. Thank you for making this video Crane! I hope you reach 50k soon.
Another personal tip is to focus in cps in the middle of a trade when both players are straight lining, when starting a trade is crucial to have your best aim potential as failing in doing so will result in the opponent getting first hit and thus wining the trade. After the second or third hit focusing in cps will be much more beneficial.
All of u heard Crane saying that aim parallel to the ground right? It's a misconception, and yes it will give u more reach, but it actually negates the chance to jump reset.
For mobile players, there are two styles spilt and non spilt, I personally use non spilt and the method I use is called abdullah, (btw on ipad), bassically trying to hit the player with your middle finger(right hand) and aim with your index(right hand), this will feel very strange but practise, Use swap jump and sneak, this will also be weird but it will help a lot, this will make you so that you can jump without moving your entire right hand(which is for pvp), Your left hand would be the hand that controls your entire movement, thumb on jump, middle on sprint, index on (sprint right), ring on (sprint left), Btw this is a part I came up myself, which is butterfly abdullah, bassically butterflying on a ipad screen but when the opponent moves use your index to move with the opponent and continue the butterfly process, I get 13 / 14 cps on mobile, this will take A LOT of practise, its bassically timing, for example (middle, index, middle, index aim, middle , index, etc…) And since you cant aim and hit at the same time on mobile, I recommend high sens, yes, there is hit cooldown which is a very short time, with high sens you can adjust your aim to counter pc players, Now there is a thing I would like to say, crabbers (bassically people who never turns their screen and always spamming their screen),… Just dont, its ok for beginners but you would get immediately destroyed by pc players, Btw all of this is fully mobile, no keymapping or others, Now about spilt, the main difference for me is when I use non spilt, I would need to tap the person and my finger will cover the person for a spilt person, but spilt is much much harder, maintaining high cps is very hard considering the constant aiming, basically its just a mouse, that can only aim or click which sounds bad but you need to do it with your hand. And lastly if you have bad ping, PRAY.
You are the first and fave rate you tuber I’ve seen who actually know something about pvp and isn’t super salty about the fact that they can’t clock fast and act like cps don’t matter!
When you get higher than 80 ping the cps from 4 to 10 is almost the same its hard to combo with it and even with projectile combo he mostly gonna hit the ground bcs of how your cps is not registered so I usually play 2 cps so I focus on my aim more and even improve my movements/jump reset
Hive scrims barely use strafing WHEN IN TRADES. This makes aim less important in my opinion, than say, Cubecraft scrims. Both aim & CPS can be trained.
