Но у меня есть свои ученики! Я видела, как зажигались восторгом глаза, когда они трепетными руками снимали со сколка свои салфетки или воротнички. Завтра же сделаю сколок и начну плести на коклюшках на переменах между уроками. В мою мастерскую народных ремесел и на переменах заглядывают ребятишки. Да и на внеурочных занятиях они обязательно заинтересуются этим видом рукоделия. Это 3-4 классы, а может быть и 5 класс соблазнится. Слава мастерам, творящим красоту!
This is closer to what I want to learn to do. The bookmark straps that became 'all the rage' give me very-high ICK factor. I know I had to start somewhere, so I did do a small panel as such, and gained more respect for the gentlecraft, but I still don't want to waste my effort on something small. I was like that with knitting and needlework as well. WISH ME LUCK!!
Janice, Everything is a matter of practice and practice makes perfect :-). Bobbin laces making is not easy but also not so difficult. It is logical and fun. The art itself is wonderful and much more rewarding than any other lace technique :) You know, this stuff isn't as hard as one might think, but I just can't figure out how to make those things inside the petals so to speak - and I'n not talking about tallies, because they're a different story altogether. Any idea about that?
I wish I had a teacher years ago I sent away for info on how to had my hubby make me a pillow got the bobbins and all but just couldn't do it with no one to help. Lucky u.

And she is the main teacher on Bobbin Lace Workshops we organize. I saw some liturgical patterns in her collection. Magdalena
