Aloha Trever I meet you on my second trip to Jay Bay back in 2013 Wow ten years ago. I brought Thys a Hitochi planer .My brother and I grew up with Mike tabling and Kelly Slater was my next door neighbor back in my home town Cocoa Beach I have lived in Hawaii since 1977 so J bay is a long trip for us on the other side of the globe. One memory of surfing the bay was you where very kind to me and even whistle me into some waves !

Hello Trevor. Just now got home from work and clicked on RUclips to see this random vid. Awesome footage. George Davis here. We met in 1991as my friend Steve "Slab' Thomas (RIP) gave me your name and contact info. Recognized you straight away, a little grayer, but same great smile. Stayed with you and your wife Kerry a week or so. Nice to have a chance to thank you again for your gracious hospitality. You took me chokka fishing, launching your boat off the beach through the pounding shorebreak. I'll never forget that. Wow 30+ years and Jeffrey"s Bay has a whole different look, but the waves stay the same. Seventy first next week and I do a lot of fishing and not much surfing these days. Made me happy to see your smiling face. Looks like life has treated you well. Cheers bru.

Hi George it's been a long time , so glad you still have fond memories of this place. Still living in the same house and Kerry and i love it. So funny as that image on the thumbnail is almost identical to a framed picture Steve gave me as a gift when left... Still have it. Amazing! Have a great 71 st and keep fishing bud awesome to catch up.!!

How long did it take you to train your brain to surf either stance? Got any videos of yourself I would love to see them? My dad was left handed and the school system made him be right handed now he can do both but still more neater and dominant on the left
So did you do the same thing when teaching yiur brai. to write right handed? Throw a ball right handed.
Those of us that surf goofy foot do it; because it worked better/felt right as a kid.
