My wife and I will be there mid October celebrate our 42nd anniversary . Happy anniversary to you too, we're hoping we have as great of a time as you did. Thanks for the video!
Paradise cove was our very first luau 21 years ago on our honeymoon and we loved it!!!! still remember it to this day. 22 days from now my family and I (6 of us)be in Maui and are going to the old Lahaina luau. Very excited
Happy Anniversary! The Luau looks like a lot of fun, entertainment, and great food! Great dancing too! We haven't been to one, so didn't know what to expect- thanks! :)
I have always wanted to do a luau. It looks like a great experience. I agree though... the least expensive package is just fine. I didn't see anything on the list that made paying for one of the more expensive packages worth it. Thanks for sharing this experience with us!
I'm a local so I've never gone to any luaus. But I have guests coming for the first time so in researching the various luaus available, I came across your video. Very informative with great clips! Thank you.
When I lived on Oahu 1999-2013 I always took visiting family members to Jermaine's. We loved it and itvwas the only luau at the time that offered kamaina discount not just to me but to my whole group. Don't k ow if that is still the case
We love luaus!!! We couldn’t believe how expensive the luaus were the last time we were in Hawaii!! We lived in Hawaii about 10 years ago and we used to buy luau tickets at Costco. Boy do I miss those days!!
Although I understand why to do so, it is not even necessary to spend that much money. Grab some pulled pork and MaiTais at the local ABC store (trust me, they are better), go to the public beach at paradise cove, watch the show, take pictures and enjoy the animation but without the hustle and bustle of "Now go here, pay there, take this useless stuff". Thank me later ;) your video is fantastic, I hope you had a marvelous anniversary!
😂😂 the first time we went to Hawaii I wasn’t about to pay that money for the luau at the hotel. We watched the performance from a spot by the pool at the hotel then had the pool to ourselves!!
It’s an all evening event but the actual show is maybe 1-1/2 hr. It’s a big property so I would say yes- taking your little one would be fine because if the baby got restless you could just walk away to a quieter part of the property
the coffee and hot water is free and unlimited :-) You get a welcome drink for free, it's small, you will get a card with a little bit of credit depending on what ticket you purchase. I used mine for an additional drink. You can use that card on drinks or souvenirs, then anything above that you have to purchase.
There are certain sections available to you depending on what ticket you paid for but within that section it’s first come first serve to whatever seat you want
@@mikemacar7004 no I don’t think there are any bad seats. You can move your seat slightly away from the table during the show if you need to adjust. Have fun!
im going in june and i don't think i could br there with that man people that long just to eat and wash that stuff over and over again for that price i can fine a lot more interesting things to do thats just me tho
For us, it was a one time experience, not something we would do every time we are in Hawaii, it is a lot of money for a family on a budget! Thanks for watching!
@@SwiftyTravels Oh that’s a bummer. Chief’s has a bunch of them and we were thinking about trying a new luau this time since we were at his the last four trips! But one fire dancer doesn’t sound as exciting. 😕
1:19 Prices have unfortunately already gone up :/
$150, $175, $240 are new prices.
Bummer/ but not surprised! Thanks for updating!!
Gracias! excelente video!
Thanks so much for watching!!
Great review! Thank you!
You are welcome!!

You are welcome! Last time I was in Hawaii we skipped the luau because of the price- but it is something worth doing!
fantastic content.thank you for sharing. have a nice day!❤👍

The same I never attended these luaus because it is too expensive and the food is not what I expected.

@@heavenbound3665 I’ll have to look that one up!
Wow amazing superb excellent content ok gift
Thanks!!!
Hello 👋 nice 📹 good luck with regards to you 😀
Thank you! You too!
We love luaus!!! We couldn’t believe how expensive the luaus were the last time we were in Hawaii!! We lived in Hawaii about 10 years ago and we used to buy luau tickets at Costco. Boy do I miss those days!!
It is hard for me to justify the expense for the entire family- but we splurged for our anniversary- 😂😂 thanks for checking it out!
Thank you for the review. Looks great! Are the activities included? Like the canoe?
Thanks.
Yes they are included- but i think you are encouraged to tip
I've been to the Polynesian Cultural Center luau, it was years ago and we spent the day there, it was definitely something I would do again.
That place looks like a lot of fun too!!
Although I understand why to do so, it is not even necessary to spend that much money.

@@SwiftyTravels haha, sounds perfect to me! That's what we do every time, when we are on the Island Ko'Olina
Loved it how fun
Thanks Deb!!
Awesome👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
NOW I GOTTA TRY THIS!!!😮
I attended Paradise cove back in 1996. It was good because it's not so crowded..
Oh it’s crowded now! 😂 has it changed much?
Ive lived here for 24 years now, and havent ever been to an luau!
Well I understand- mostly a tourist thing now.. 😂😂
how many people do you estimate were there,? and what month did you go ?
Probably a couple hundred. We were there in mid June
Attended a few over last 20 years. That one seemed ok. Cultural centre is a drive but also ok. So many are over priced now
Thanks for watching. In the past we always skipped because the price was so high- I would like to visit the cultural center next time.
How long does it last? Im curious if my one year old would be able to handle this.
It’s an all evening event but the actual show is maybe 1-1/2 hr. It’s a big property so I would say yes- taking your little one would be fine because if the baby got restless you could just walk away to a quieter part of the property
Do you get unlimited drinks? Or only the welcome drink is included? And you have to pay for the rest?

I used mine for an additional drink. You can use that card on drinks or souvenirs, then anything above that you have to purchase.
Is it first come first serve for sitting?
There are certain sections available to you depending on what ticket you paid for but within that section it’s first come first serve to whatever seat you want
@@SwiftyTravelsthanks for the info
@@SwiftyTravelsany specific angle you recommend we should try to get….thinking getting the middle package.

Nice

Is there only one fire dancer?
Yes it’s the last performance of the night

3:48 They could do a better job at throwing a spear. Seen that at other youtube videos
Looks like you are enjoying yourselves.
Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Thanks! It was a lot of fun!
