remember the days when hotels would have Thai stickers on mini-bar drinks so they'd know if you had opened them or not, making it challenging to replace at a 7/11 prior to check out. Kind of like checking into a non-guest friendly hotel back in 2001 and saying, dammit, I'll have to go to a 2 hour room with bar fine tonight ;-)
Areca is on Soi Diana!!! It's a lovely hotel with two good size pools. The one thing I didn't like about it is that they insisted that I came down to sign in the lady guest and then didn't bother ringing the room to check everything was ok before giving her id back. That's a bit backwards when it comes to security if you ask me!
@@BigFatBesty Thanks for correcting me about the Soi. Always stayed at siam@siam on 2nd road earlier, but it's a bother gett to Treetown and Soi Buakhao for drinks and Kung's for breakfast. Doesn't hurt that the Golf societies are nearby too. Noted your point regarding the ladies!
Kungs is a great shout for breakfast. I've never stayed at Siam @ Siam but I'd like to. The rooftop bar there looks pretty cool. I'm with you on the buakhao area. That's where I like to drink as well 👍👍
Fantastic vlog of hotel, i remember when they built and opened that A-One hotel that is now connected to Sea View hotel it was very posh then lol, good to know that it is now, i am with you on the pool not much privacy for guests staff seem nice in your vlog looking forward to the next vlog, i stayed in the A-One cruise hotel many years ago that was nice then. keep up the great vlogs BFB
Where do you get you hair cut in Pattaya mate? I’ve seen a few videos of guys getting a hair cut and to be honest it don’t look any good and that’s always been the same thing I’ve found out there but your cuts looks good
Hi Darren. I get mine done at "Friendship" barbers. It's on soi buakhao just down from the holiday Inn express before you get to the market. It's directly opposite a 7/11. It's one of those old fashion looking barbers with the multi coloured pole outside. It's always pretty busy and I had to sit and queue for about half an hour this time.
Hotel Didn't look to bad . Have you tried hideaway on soi 15 ?.Great location, great food . Good price for rooms . Can definitely recommend. Cheers BFB.
If it's the Payaa, that you mean, then it's on the same soi as the Pattaya seaview. I'd have the same issues with their location. It's looks a very similar property to this one, so if people like the seaview, the chances are they'd also like the Payaa. They need to sort their website out though. Broken pop ups everywhere.
Hi Tom, it's André a.k.a. Max. Where would you suggest I take my Thai vacation girlfriend to, if I want to take her to a Pattaya rooftop bar, the higher the better ? Thanks as always.
Hey André. If you want something exclusive where you are the only people in the place then definitely Virgin!! Otherwise I would probably say Siam @ Siam or the Hilton. I believe there is a high rooftop bar at the new Somerset as well.
@@BigFatBesty we finally went for Siam@Siam, what a great experience, bravo to them ! We got the 2 for 1 happy hour drinks. We even had a swim. Thx my man.
Hi Besty. We stayed in that Seaview hotel in January. We had room only though. OK price, ok hotel for the price in general. No problems BUT that rooftop bar was VERY overpriced. No wonder no punters. It was dead when I looked up there too. Lovely place though, just more apt for downtown Bangkok than soi 4, Pattaya. ;-]
Yeah, the hotel was a solid 7/10. I don't understand what they are trying to achieve with the virgin bar though. They should really give guests a complimentary drink to get people in it.
It's a decent location for sois 6,7,8 and for shopping it's great for central marina and t21. Unfortunately I generally drink in treetown, buakhao, lk metro and although it's ok for getting back from there, it's a pain to get from the hotel to that area.
Beautiful!!!
Welcome home, I have been looking forward to your reviews. Hope you had a great time
I was happy that you meet up with steadyeddie hope you two can do some more videos together

Yeah cool bar!
I like the Areca lodge in Soi Buakhao. One can walk to all the relevant places... 😊

I've never stayed at the hideaway, but Andy is a great guy and there's always something going on at the hideaway.
Hey Besty. Ive been watching for your videos. Are you living in Pattaya now?
Sadly not. I'm now back in the UK. There's plenty of videos to come of this trip though every Friday.
Howyadoin Besty. keep on rockin.
Go and stay at payya hotel …youll never want to leave..its that good👍🏻

Hey, are you thinking about letting her join the flying club ?

@@BigFatBesty yes, atleast 1 FREE drink for guests. Bad marketing.
I think Ed Sweeney did a hotel review on that place. It's a bit out the way though
How is this hotel out of the way?

There my favourite places to. It unfortunate that they isn't a direct bahtbus from your hotel there. 60 baht motorbike taxi instead
Ahh it wasn't the seaview I stayed at it was the BayView
I never get breakfast in hotel, if its not frankfurters for sausages its chicken porridge
You are absolutely correct!
