Thank you sooo much for this! I did not grow up Christian and I have a 3 year old and one due in May. Please talk about these topics more:
-Childcare (sahm, preschool, nanny?)
-Sleep arrangements for small kids (Cosleeping? In their own room accross house?
-Discipline! (small kids, toddlers, in public meltdowns, spanking?)
-Technology (tablet limitations, future when to get a phone)
-Agreeing on parenting styles/roles/choices

Thank you so much! I feel so seen & heard. I’m a single mom and many people around me will say I’m overreacting when I want to restrict my daughter from certain things. They may claim I’m “robbing” her from childhood, when in fact I’m just trying to protect it. I wish me and her dad could talk about stuff like this. But I’m definitely going to invest in all those resources y’all mentioned and start incorporating the declarations and affirmations.
Thank you so much for bringing up Disney and witchcraft. I’m a new believer at 30 years old and a diehard Disney fan. But now that my eyes have been opened to witchcraft and really anything anti-God, i can’t seem to watch Disney in the same way. For example, Jungle Book live action has the elephants as the gods of the jungle, Moana is literally about a Polynesian demi-god, etc. I’d be fine to cut Disney (and Halloween) out but my husband isn’t there yet. Maybe one day! For now, I’ll just have conversations about the films to examine what’s godly and what isn’t. (And I believe those convos will help my children as they get older & are inevitably exposed to worldly things.)

Awana should be available across the US, and even some countries internationally, so yes!
Love this video!!!! I really love love loved what you said about children hearing these things from their Father and how that translates to a relationship with the heavenly Father. I would love more videos on raising Godly kids. It's so important. Do you believe that our children choosing Jesus is completely out of our control? I struggle with that and wonder if i'm trying to be controlling. People say that you can do all the right things and your kids can still choose to deny Jesus.
Also I think there is definitely a need for more videos about raising Godly children. I would love to know more about how you grew up. I think its such a blessing to hear how older people raised their children who are adults now and they love Jesus. I would love to hear more about all things parenting. I really believe that parenting is full time ministry and discipling our children is such a high calling. It's what I think about when I think of the great commission.
Does your church have Awana? Is it something you can bring to your church? My church does not have Awana, but it looks like there are churches nearby that have Awana.
