This is good. When I first came to faith it was a Christian group that helped me go through the Bible, I was baptized with them. But they were very isolating. Only wanting you to hang with their Kingdom friends and date inside the pool. And wanted to meet up very often. And had a prescribed Bible study regimen that they taught. And had a real belief that you’re not saved unless you’re baptized.
While I am happy that they started my journey, my spirit didn’t sit right. I questioned so much and it made me go in my Bible on my own. I was convicted. Ultimately this lead me to seek answers from my current church. A real Bible believing church that counseled me and answered my questions authentically. And ultimately this experience strengthened my faith! I ran and never looked back! I’m grateful for the gift of discernment that God gave me so strong even as a baby believer.
Counterfeits are real!!! They seem to be doing a good thing. They even helped me find Jesus! So close yet so not Right!

This is so true. I fell into this trap about 5 years ago. My old Pastor told me that I was called to go to Georgia. There was Georgia location for our church and I would be going there to get training. In my mind it made sense especially because I always loved GA. So I went and at that time I had been a believer for a while but I was still a baby. I never consulted God about it. I felt bad about going to GA and not telling my family, especially my twin brother and Father who I am really close to. My Pastor told me that I was an adult and that they didn't need to know. Eventually I told my brother and my Father. They were really upset but I thought that I knew better than them because they were fake Christians. Long story short God used a counterfeit relationship I was in to reveal that my Pastor sent me there to be trained to be his wife. Everyone at the church knew this except me and I was there for almost a year, and never knew. The guy I was dating at the time suspected it. I finally came to a point where I was forced to get on my knees and ask God, and he told me to go back home. I confronted my Pastor face to face and he made it seem like everything was my own fault. I haven't been back since. Fast forward to about 2 years ago my old Pastor is till leading his church that doesn't grow and he's sleeping with half the women and someone even had to get an abortion. When he was confronted he responded by saying that if people are going to call out his sin that everyone should put there sin out there. He is still leading a church to this day. I feel bad for the people that I led there that are still in that church .
I say all this to say that God can redeem anyone and turn any bad story into a good one. He protected me in my ignorance. Today I am a happily married wife two an amazing husband and momma to two beautiful amazing boys. The enemy came with so many counterfeits but God brought in the real deal. He is so good and so gracious. God can turn anything around.

Hopefully you shared your testimony with those people you led to that church about why you left so they have the opportunity to make a sound decision and seek God on being there. Since you brought them there.

Yes! God just revealed my counterfeit relationship with my ex! Someone at church told me she feels in her spirit he does not have a true saving faith. Finally asked the Holy Spirit & he said to leave. My will to stay was so strong, but God revealed it in his actions shortly after. Thank God that he reveals and leads 🤍

This was so good ! the gift of discernment is such a blessing. Recently a new person to my life has been trying to get together and she had sent a restaurant for us to get together at. The name just wasn't sitting right with my spirit. So I decided to look up the definition of the name, and it was based on demonic goddess. Everything was based on witchcraft in that restaurant. I explained to the woman that I couldn't go there and explained why. She hasn't asked to make plans with me since.. Also Amanda the link to the confident woman weekend isn't available it says.

Back when i was younger i always listened to wht other ppl said about God..couldnt get a good understanding in the kjv so i would just look up a verse that i was told to look up about aomthing..& i pray everyday..thanked God everyday & that was far as my rahip went with Him. As i got older & seen there were diff versions i got a more simplified Bible & my world changed the more i read the more i was hooked & sad for not knowing sooner. As i learned more i realized ppl will tell u anything to bend to what they want or need even justify their actions with scripture. Ive wanted to know the Lord back them so badly even a woman lured me to her thru the Bible & as she was reading a scripture to me in the next sentence she sexually propositioned me!! & was so slick with it i thought she was still reading i jumped up & got away from that woman so fast!! I was shook up a lil behind it because ppl will leterally try ANYTHING!!

I have been very naive honestly and would cling to people who seemed they wanted to be in my life. I would ignore signs and put things past people because “no one is perfect” but it is very important that I learn people first and then allow them to be invested into my life and me invest in them. I had gotten saved straight out of highschool (17 years old) so I didn’t really take the time to learn friendships and relationships until now really (4 years later). Now is honestly the start of me learning what’s healthy and how to godly discern people and to be a great friend myself. Once again I'm glad i found this video, i believe God wants to begin a work in me in this area. God bless you!

I’ve been visiting a new church. My cousin and I talked to the pastor after church service. About my cousin having breast surgery and has to go for radiation next. He didn’t offer to pray for her on the spot. But has put her on the church prayer list. And he called me to check to see how she’s doing and if we need anything. Am I wrong? For thinking something is off with this pastor! This same thing happened at another church as well. Months ago before she had the surgery. We talked to the pastor after church service and asked if he would pray for her. He didn’t pray for her on the spot. I’m use to the days in the past when I was more into church back then. Pastors would pray for you, ask you if your saved. What’s going on with these churches these days. But God is pulling me back into the Bible strongly lately ❤

Control, authority and dominance from an unbelieving parent is what I have in my life but outside this person presents themselves as an innocent caring kind generous victim that people assume that there must be an issue with her adult children because this parent seems ok nice and honest and helpful but always complains about her children so the parent must be in the right. In my personal experience, they can have good intentions, be giving and loving even - for what they think is the right reasons, and still be used by the enemy to lead you astray and keep you from what really is for you. This is why it is so important to seek God instead of relying on your own understanding. Especially regarding people who don’t walk in Christ. Don’t be deceived by “good” things of the world either. Just because it feels good, doesn’t mean it’s not spiritually rotten at it’s core.
