So glad you are feeling a bit better Ros…I too watched the video about the out of date charts and was amazed about how much folk paid !

So glad you are feeling a bit better. I imagine these things take time.
I have not kept track of how much I spend on a pattern but only the usual prices. I have so much I want to stitch that that protects me from huge prices.
    Love your bonkers finish.

Thanks. Sara! Yes, I can’t imagine running out of reasonably priced things to stitch.

Hi Ros! So pleased you liked my little card. It was stitched with Roxy Floss Co 'Warm & Fuzzy' thread I think. The little scissor motif is from Blackbird Winds of Autumn book. I watched that Flosstube episode after you shared it on your stories and was horrified at some of the prices and agreed completely about the Christmas ornaments! I am very mindful about how much I spend.....

I loved it! The prices were quite incomprehensible to me!

Glad you are feeling better Ros. So glad you liked the counting pins. I really like your MFE Valentine stitch. I don't think I've ever spent more than about £30 on a chart and that was Village of Hawk Run Hollow. Not out of print just the HRH series are quite expensive charts. Looking forward to getting to "Yellow" just trying to get through the washing after the weekend in Rome first.

I think that’s a fair price for those enormous charts! Hope you had a fab time in Rome.

Lovely to see you this afternoon Ros. Glad you are beginning to feel better. Love your MFE piece. I'm loving your colour series, haven't started mine yet but it's in the wings waiting.
A chart, or anything for that matter, is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, auction fever & fomo really grips some people & all sense goes out the window. We saw with chicken eggs many years ago when ridiculous prices were paid for a chocolate coloured chicken. There was absolutely no difference in the eggs laid. It was great fun to watch at the auction. We, on the other hand were part of the £2 gang, paying no more than that for eggs to incubate.
You see it time & time again, in all walks of life, all sense disappears & a fog descends 🤔🤔🤔 As long as there is a marketplace somewhere, the madness will continue.
Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪

Yes, auction fever! Ebay lets people go a bit crazy…

Hey Ros, I was just as baffled yet fascinated when I watched @crossstitchtheglobe video on charts. The Birds of a Feather charts that were making big money just seemed so juvenile. I have only ever seen one chart of theirs that I like and as it's an alphabet sampler, I can live without it. There are plenty of those around if I get the urge. 😂
They will be doing a video on the most expensive kits at some point, bet you there will be some ridiculously priced Dimensions 😂
Anyway, love how your MFE is looking, take care of you, til next time.

Yes, it is quite bizarre to me. And I’m sure you’re right, it will be Dimensions and Mirabilias all the way, and I will watch in awe and bemusement.
