Saluted to Our Forever CDMI, Mr. William Fullerton, R.I.P. He was passed away on the last week Saturday(Sept 26, 2015) evening at his home in UK, with his family members surround, and he was following a long stoic fight with cancer, he was 78.........., who was retired in the rank of superintendent of RHKP Force.
OMG, so sad to know he's passed away, Mr. William Fullerton was a very good foot drill commander , i make sure he knows me as im the translator for him at the year 1989. Never forget his big voice.........
the parade commander Fulleton was served to the crown before appointed to the Training school RHKP, he was a Sergeant Major in the Guards Div. British Army, an expert in Drill, so what the fuck u know??
why do they march with the feet pointed out like ducks? Waving the arms is ok cause you can never get off step but hmmmmmm ...all I can see so they can't cruch the other guys legs hahahha give him or her a flat tire hehehe
I have done my fair share of drill on a Canadian parade square from a rank & file, Sgt Major and Parade Commander point of view to know that THAT voice lacks authority, motivation and drive. That voice probably can't flag a taxi if his life depended on it. There *IS* such thing as a bad Sgt Major. Maybe he lost his edge after being automatically commissioned after joining the RHKP :) You know them officers :) Good show by the ranks though. Good work.
I'm surprised such verdict and comment would come out of someone who supposedly have so much experience. Having a bad voice is one thing and this might be due to age and voice box injury, but you obviously haven't been in the field with him and I don't think you are in the position to know anything about his leadership and character to conclude he was a bad Sgt Major on the basis of his voice. Bad NCOs do exist I will give you that, but not likely with a regiment like the Scots Guards, especially when this man wasn't just any Sergeant Major but an ex-RSM and eventually GSM in Hong Kong, and considering especially that back in his days the SG had more than 1 battalion of men and the regiment should have no shortage of choices to choose from. Bare in mind also the British Army has an All Arms Drill Wing to make sure all SNCOs are up to standards whereas you in the Canadian Army have not. I'm ex-Canadian army as well, have worked closely with Brits on ceremonial fronts, and have served on both sides of the ranks. Judging from the many Canadian Army parade videos on RUclips, I don't quite think Canadian vets are in the position position to criticize the ability of this man at large.
Willie Fullerton was one of my instructors at the Guards Depot, Pirbright. Excellent drill instructor and good words of command., typical Scots Guardsman. Our Canadian friend would be interested to know that Fullerton soldiered under Dépôt RSM Donald Whyte (Scots Guards) when they were instructing the Canadian Guards, in drill and traditions, their senior Canadian NCOs included their Canadian RSM, McManus. Nemo me Impune Lacessit.
OMG! I recognized his voice! my parade commander in 1982 . we used to called him骷髏頭!

I like CAS as much as RHKP. They were formed by the colonial goverment.
As I remembered he was a Garrison Sergeant Major of Guards Depot HKMSC...

I think he makes a brief appearance in a Panorama doco about the Guards which came out in the mid-sixties sometime. He has a very distinct voice.

Is that Parade Commander on a microphone?! Why is he calling commands like he is singing a chinese opera? What a fucking disgrace.
