    I'm really surprised you don't have an upgrade path if we already purchased the original Loudness Penalty. Seems like a missed opportunity to convince your current customers like me ... unfortunately, I won't be purchasing with this policy.

      Plus, you’ll be a better ME avoiding this culty bullshit.

      @gregjobes2329 Appreciate the feedback! We always aim to give current customers a heads-up on our latest products and deals. And certainly in the case of an upgrade (like Perception AB), we offer upgrade pricing to existing customers.
      For Loudness Penalty Studio, we don't really see it as an upgrade / replacement to the Loudness Penalty plugin - it's an entirely new, standalone desktop app that can be used in combination with the plugin. So for that reason, we've offered an intro deal to both current and new customers.

    Amazing. Very awesome for A/B different versions. Have you thought about 'instagram/facebook' or should we assume that would fit the 'youtube' level? Oh, btw, I can't find a trial version on the website, and lastly, will there be any crossgrade from other products?

      Glad you like it ! At the moment Insta and Facebook don't use loudness normalization, but we're keeping an eye on them 😛
      There's no trial I'm afraid, but we're entirely sincere about the money-back guarantee, so if you want to give it a try and find it's not a good fit, juts let us know and we'll give you a full refund.
      No cross-grades, but there is a 30% off introductory offer at the moment !

    wow! just might (arguably) be the most valuable piece of studio software other than the actual DAW! Love the snapping feature! Would be cool to have a waveform view added to the blocks as well to easily see where the song sections, but as is, it's a really stunning tool!

    Just got this. Very useful. However bit confused to why my masters at -14LUFS are being turned down by -6.6LUFS for Tidal, when I'm sure I read on Meterplugs that Tidal now normalize to -14LUFS?

    Does this work for Dolby Atmos tracks?

    • @ProductionAdvice
      @ProductionAdvice 6 месяцев назад +1

      Not with a full ADM file, but If you capture the binaural stereo render, then yes, absolutely - although, if the Atmos uses the full 18 dB of peak headroom, even the Apple Music setting won't turn the stereo version down far enough to match ! We're planning a really quick "Match All" update though which will solve that 👍

    I like your loudness matching plugins, interested in this one too, but need help with SoundCloud loudness matching. Any plans to add SoundCloud loudness matching capability in this?

    • @MeterPlugs
      @MeterPlugs  5 месяцев назад

      As far as we know SoundCloud does not currently do any loudness matching. If this changes, we'd likely add support for SoundCloud as well.

    Can we have a lower tier version which is more like the online version and only does one track? This is too pricey for me.

    • @MeterPlugs
      @MeterPlugs  5 месяцев назад +1

      @Mopsie The website will remain free and still allow you to preview individual files.

    Yes, because bands and mixers are so gung ho about going back and providing alternative mixes at lower levels because the mastering engineer wants them to. You’re lucky these days if a mixer doesn’t send a mix that was done through a limiter because clients complain that the mixes aren’t loud enough at that stage. If I get a non-limited, loud mix, I trim it so it is properly gain staged for processing. If I get something that was mixed through a limiter, then I know there is no way a band is going to pay the mixer to remix it without the limiter (and there’s no way the mixer will make that kind of revision for free, especially if the mixes had already been approved). If the job comes from a mixer, you will lose chances for future work with them if you start telling their clients they need to have limiters removed. When it comes to real world situations, you risk losing business if you are too strident about pushing for approved mixes to be redone. It’s definitely a conversation worth having for future projects, but by the time the mixes reach me, a lot of time and money have already been spent. Last point: a good ME can still get great results with non-limited, loud mixes without pushing to be sent less loud mixes.
