COZUMEL, MEXICO | Minute Diary 05

Here are a couple shots I've put together after some time on the Island of Cozumel in Mexico. My camera broke when I got it wet trying to dive with it sadly so there's a lot of great things missing from this short edit. I really enjoyed it on the Island, it's super hot and humid which forces you to spend a good deal of time in the clear waters surrounding the island.

This was filmed using the Panasonic GH4 with a couple canon lenses and Metabones speedbooster, Gopro Hero 3, a few shot's off a Sony Fs5 and a couple from Etiennes 1d mkii.

You have a beautifully distinct editing style. One that owns a staccato rhythm. A sequence of sped up shots followed by slow shots that really engulfs us (or me, personally) in your pieces.

Your videos are so inspiring man! Edits are unreal. Quick question, how or when do you know when to switch between shooting in 24fps vs 60fps vs 120fps etc.? That's the hardest part I struggle with when shooting. Any feedback would be great!

Thanks so much bro! I always shoot at least 50fps (I shoot pal) so I can slow down by half and then I use 100fps manly for things with a lot of movement as it also helps make the shot look more steady in slomo.
