I agree......Tom Baker, beyond a doubt, was the most brilliant and unique Doctor the show ever had. Tom actually came up with those lines on his own. Thank God the Producer & Director listened to him. It has now become the most memorable Jelly Baby scene in Doctor Who history.
Gallifrey Song why did you word it so strangely "its an Earth sweet" do you expect me to know what that means? i dont watch Dr who at all so i have no clue where the setting takes place.

For who? "Jelly baby" isn't the name of a specific company, it's just a type of sweet. Calling this advertising is like saying the TARDIS is attempting to sell police boxes.
(May have been mentioned by others already, but I'll note it anyway): The Second Doctor, in "The Three Doctors" first offers a jelly baby while in the Tardis (early on in the story). It's easy to only think of Tom when thinking of jelly babies, but Patrick was actually the first to offer them. ;) EDIT: yeah, it was mentioned when I scrolled down, but it's worth repeating... ;)

I met Tom Baker, once, in London.. He walked into me when I was buying a drink and I just remember looking up, seeing those mad eyes, that brilliantly mad grin and hearing him say in that booming voice "Sorry, my dear." Best day of my life

***** Ok, to start, I wasn't even talking to you so back off. I really don't understand your unnecessary aggression. And another thing, please learn how to spell. I find it insulting
In Doctor Who the movie there was a Jelly Baby scene that you missed. Right before the 8th Doctor and Grace steal the officer's bike, the officer motions to his gun. Grace says, "No wait! He's... British." The 8th Doctor replies, "I suppose I am, Jelly Baby officer?" The officer replies, "Jelly Baby?" Grace then says, "Just... Take it." The officer takes it and eats it. The Doctor then grabs the officer's gun and says, "Now will you stand aside while I shoot myself?" Honestly, one of the best scenes from the movie... A shame it was left out of this list.
Most of these are hilarious. The timelords and Davros are my favorite. 'You're nothing but a rabble you're not fit to guard a jellybaby. Would you like a jellybaby?' 'I see your rest has done nothing to cure your megalomania here have a jellybaby.' I lose it everytime Davros smacks the jellybabies out of his hand. Also the one-'Have a jellybaby don't forget to brush your teeth.'
Every time I have a bag of jelly babies, I eat the colours I like, and then go round asking everyone around me in my best Tom Baker impression if they'd like the remaining jelly babies. I enjoy doing this far more than I should.
Tom Baker.......THE DOCTOR! Such a unique, funny, witty, sexy, charismatic and totally brilliant Doctor in every way. Epic & iconic portrayal. Nobody could offer a Jelly Baby like Tom. My #1 Doctor.
There's actually a comic book crossover between the Eleventh Doctor and Star Trek: The Next Generation where the two universes' histories become merged, and we get a false flashback to the TOS era, where the Fourth Doctor meets Kirk's crew and offers Spock a jelly baby. As someone who lives in the UK, it's really strange reading all these comments from people who live outside of the UK, where they talk about how they've only had jelly babies once or twice in their life because they are so rare, when they are sold in literally every shop in the UK.
Tom Baker will always be the best of Dr Whos. Seven seasons is a long time playing one character. My favourite Tom Baker Dr Who episode is Pirate Planet.
