I had to use KeyTweak to disable it and keep the laptop usable, but it's unbelievable that a keyboard I've barely used and is not even 10 months old gets this problem. Hello,
    I have cleaned my F key but it is still heavier than other keys. it is hard to press the F letter compared to both D and G. it is not smooth.
    is there anyway to fix this?
    Here is summery for the problem to the best of my ability:
    1) key is working, but needs harder pressing.
    2)also, if I pressed the side of the key or the corner of the key, it usually doesnt detect that it is pressed; the other letters are much easier to press even in their side or corner.
    3)the key seems easier to press at exactly the mid point. even going slightly up or down seem to have effect.
    4)Once the key is pressed hard enough the first time, it becomes easier to press again, but still heavier than other keys.
    5)Once I leave key for some time, the key is again harder to press.
    would it work if I swap F key with any other less used Key?

    • @EggheadFixers
      @EggheadFixers  4 года назад

      Switching the key will work if it is a problem with the key cap or retainer clip. If it is a problem with the computer sensing the key being pressed then you will need to replace the keyboard and/or palmrest depending on you model Asus ROG. Let me know how it goes:)

    Please help me, I have the same keys in this video, but my WASD keys were broken because I mostly press on the edges of the WASD keys. Now they’re loose and don’t attach to the laptop itself very well. Every time I put them back in and press on them, they just bounce out of place whenever I use that key. I’ve noticed that 4 protrusions at each corner at the bottom of the keys are snapped. Should I go to the Best Buy and buy a replacement or just buy the plastic frame? Also is it possible to buy just those keys itself (including the plastic frames) if so where can you find them. I really appreciate if you can help me with this situation.

      If the rubber piece in the middle that helps the key bounce back up is gone...then the key usually doesn't work correctly. There are two options in this scenario:
      1. Some people have reported pulling this rubber piece of another replacement keyboard and just placing it under there. Sometimes it can work pretty well depending on the key.
