Seeing this a year later. These were on my radar, but I have a set of Deda Geras on order...they...are...pricey, but I'm hoping the ergos live up to the imagination. I 100% agree about 46cm being the sweetspot, and I've been on Zipp XPRL 70s for about 2yrs now and I really really love them. I actually put them in the same category as these Pro bars. Very easy and neutral to get along with...but new bike, new build, I talked myself out of custom steel, so I need to compensate in some places.
Have it on my Diverge for about 3 months.. for the price I can’t complain much.. I like the shorter reach & it’s flat top where I can rest my palms on longer rides 👍🏼
Have you tested ritchey comp butano vs pro discovery? Both are very similar. Except butano has a sweep. If you can advise which is more comfy that would be great. Both are roughly the same price in my country.
Yep got the 44cm Pro Discover medium flare on my Lynskey GR270. They are affordable and not radical wide so work as commuter and gravel bars. Flattish top with fat tape is very comfortable. I can fit the 9 litre Ortlieb Handlebar bag in there with enough space to comfortably hand hold the Pro bars in any position but it couldn’t take a larger bag. 44cm might be the widest in this Pro model but reality is it’s enough for the Ortlieb bag at least and drop bars are always going to restrict in that area but I’ve also got Ortlieb’s Accessory Pack bag 3.5 litre which clips on the front of that to put odd and ends in so don’t need the width.
I was already looking at this handle and your video made me pull the trigger. Now I have it on my bike but I feel that the flat on the top is tipping too much towards me, didn’t you felt the same?…
I’ve oscillated between the Pro Discover and the FSA wing compact. I prefer the FSA’s by a smidge, the flat top extends a tad more to the shifters which is easier on the palm.
How tall are you I am still looking for the Wright gravel handlebar length for me but the only available in here is 440mm and 600mm I am just asking for advice and for the stem Length to
I really like the 760's on my mountain bike :-) When I drop my arms in a natural, comfortable position and measure the width I'm at almost 50cm. That's what I figure a good bar width to be, or am I mistaken? Could that be because I ride MTB 90% of the time and have gotten used to 76cm? The 46cm on my Topstone feel too narrow. Thanks!
Good video they look like pretty decent handlebars I think you said AU$70 which I think is $54 US I just might have to look into this thanks for the review .

I have both, the WCS on my gravel/commuter vehicle. And agree with James. 🙂
Where's the link to purchase the product?

Ritchey Butano does it for me

I love my cowchipper’s but would love to hear what people prefer between the two
Great stuff as always. I’m about to fit a 440mm set of Control Tech One FLO riser gravel bars…hope I’m as happy with them as you were with these!
Ritchey Butano my favourite for exact the same reasons
I was deciding between the pro discover and the butano and chose the latter. Havent installed yet will see how it goes!
Thanks for that I was just looking for a Handlebar that wasn’t too expensive 👍
So which bar is better from your tests? Pro discover or ritchey ergomax?

Whats that orange bar tape?

Happy to help mate 🤝
I have a shoulder width of 48cm, which width of the handlebar would you consider to get in my case?
If they will be 46 cm i would pick em ..... now have salsa cowbell , ritchey butano also good variant.
Hmmmm.. not sure about the bit on future proof at the end. It's a bike supposed to fit you not the other way around?
Obvs buy the frame that fits but there's no guarantees the manufacturer will spec bars that suit your body, or your choice of riding.
Which handlebar tape is the brown one in the beginning? Thanks.
Ciclovation Grind Touch 👌
@@JustRideAdelaide yes, saw your review on this tape, too bad it's not sold in Europe, and shipping from US costs more than the product itself :/
Reach out to Mammothbikes in Germany.
Will these fit on a hybrid Merida?
Physically yes but morally no.
