Hey emongg, the reason no one tries to focus the genji in low metal ranks is because its rarely worth it. Genjis high mobility makes him a nightmare to hit in low ranks, so focusing on another target thats easier to hit is usually "more beneficial". In low elo its all about stat farming, so focusing a target that doesnt yield you high damage is pointless.
I'd like to add the "if i can't see them they can't see me" otherwise known as the ostrich tactic some players in lower ranks tend to have where they don't bother to turn their screens further than 45 degrees away from the enemy tank/payload
To add, people also have bad aim in bronze. For person with bad aim killing genji is near impossible. Genji can dash, reflect, climb and has a small hitbox. There is no point wasting time in focusing a hero you can't kill. So I agree in that sense but obviously these people need more fundamental skills to be able to accomplish this. Look at this player's widow, he doesn't land a single elim or headshot his torb wasn't much better. Likely in bronze games are much harder carried by tanks with good teamfight sense than dps that have 10% accuracy.
@@lazycouch1Isee a Genji as support I go Moira or Brig, cause I know otherwise I will die, since my aim sucks and nobody is gonna be able to help me, since their aim is not much better :'D Genji is a true horror in low elos.

I can confirm while they were duoing (he said it was a 4 stack) that's not why he got pocketed. When I'm stacking with friends it's pretty much the norm I'm the pocketed person as opposed to the bastion one trick because I'm the dude who is trying to fight as many people as I can. It's both trying to play the game properly and trying to get the biggest healing number so focus on the person taking the most damage.
That's what I love about playing Mercy. Sometimes is feels like I give my dps superpowers. I always try to support the aggressive plays, but there is a limit lol.
@@FallenEvaneskyro07 I play Mercy and I think I've figured out why it feels wrong - typically, a good Mercy isn't doing much to you directly. they're just helping their team, Mercy is a doctor, not a fighter, etc. so it feels wrong to kill someone who's not doing much, if anything, to you directly lol
The annoying thing when playing in metal ranks is no one ever pings. They will yell at you to peal and help them but won't talk until they're already dead, if they talk at all. Then I'm left as a tank, not knowing what my team is doing until I see the kill feed. Also, no one knows you can ping after you die, so i can know immediately where the threat is.
My best advice is to make friends and if you feel comfortable, use mics, at least for call-outs. When I’m tank I tell my friends that I want to know everything that’s going on behind me. If there’s a reaper on my supports, I wanna know. If there’s a sombra spawn camping my dps, I wanna know. Let your team know they can rely on you for help and they will
The secret of climbing in Overwatch: It's not about winning the 9 fights that are already in your favor. It's about ensuring the enemy doesn't win the 10th fight that is neutral. @@Assassin_Proof making friends is one of the best things you can do in the game. My friends and I always counter-swap for each other. It’s one thing if someone is popping off regardless of counters but if you keep getting rolled it’s worth counter-picking
To this player, yes, you deserve high Bronze. It's a phenomenon in most ranks that players have really good matches, hard carry, and think "I deserve at least Gold/Plat/Diamond/etc." What they don't take into account is that they're pogging against Bronze players, with Bronze positioning, awareness, evasive movement, cooldown management, etc. They're making horrifying mistakes that get punished in the next tier up, which keeps them from climbing. First off, there are issues with your aim. On Cass and Widow especially, we see several times where you run out of space to move your mouse and need to lift it up to complete a 180. You either need to get yourself more room to move your mouse, or get a DPI switch set up so you can do those quick turns and better track up close targets that otherwise run you out of mouse space. Your aim as mid and long ranged characters is also very inconsistent, sometimes you hit, sometimes you'll whiff all six shots. Again, lower sensitivity with more room to move your mouse will do wonders. Your aim is better as Genji in Genji distance, but still, could use work. Your bigger problem is strategy: you throw all of your cooldowns to get in, then you're just a guy with shurikens standing in front of the enemy team. Dash and Deflect are precision strategic tools, and you need to save one of them in order to get you out to safety. In this match, you literally never do that. You either Dash in, then Deflect because you're anticipating damage, or you Deflect at them, then Dash when Deflect doesn't kill them. Sometimes that works out ok, you and the team get them low enough for Dash to kill then you get the reset and Dash out, other times you're just counting on your team to heal you or the enemy team to kindly miss enough shots for you to survive. Ideally, unless you see something with 50HP or less, you save your Dash to disengage. Dash is a get out of jail free card. So long as you have it, you can be extremely aggressive and survive. But you don't want to use your get out of jail free card to get into jail. Ideally, you don't engage with Deflect either: you use the map. Numbani (and all Overwatch maps) is riddled with flank routes, the buildings you can go through to try and get behind the enemy position. You don't need to commit any cooldowns as Genji to get into their backline, you just use your wall climb and the map to wiggle around behind them. Then you have Deflect to win the duel and Dash to get you out after you nab a pick (or force them to fall back to peel while drawing out cooldowns). Speaking of, Deflect: you keep trying to anticipate things, which is bad. Sometimes you read correctly and bounce the cooldown. Sometimes the enemy team reads you, waits for you to deflect, then punishes you. Or just uses cooldowns that can bypass Deflect, like Ana's Nade and Ashe's Dynamite. It's better to look for things that you can react to. Projectiles with travel time like Fire Strike and Biotic Grenade are things that you can see coming and guarantee you bounce back. You can also look to tells: Ana visible reaches for her Sleep Dart gun before it comes out. You can notice her reaching and react in time to sleep her with it if she tries to use it while you have Deflect. But if you blow Deflect because you think she's going to Sleep, then you're counting on her to miss the sleep, otherwise you are as good as dead. You need to think about it like a chess match: both you and your opponent have certain moves available based on your cooldowns. You need to think about what cooldowns you can counter, which ones can counter you, and how much resource (health, cooldowns, positioning*) you need to leave yourself in order to get out alive if you can't confirm the kill. Learn your matchups, learn how to force errors and when you can safely take the win. So, the wrap up: A. is for Aim. Work on it. It's currently good enough on Genji to escape Bronze with better play, but it's booty for mid ranged heroes, and if you don't fix it then eventually it'll be the limiting reagent that gets you hardstuck in Silver or Gold. B. Learn the maps, and when you can use flank routes to access the enemy backline without committing cooldowns. C. Save your Dash to get out, unless you can guarantee the Dash reset. Dash is your escape tool! If you die in the middle of the enemy team without your Dash available, then you know why you died. It's not because Mercy didn't heal you either. D. Use your Deflect to react, not to anticipate. What you're doing works against Bronzes, but better players will realize they can just stare at you for a second and you'll Deflect nothing. E. Work on your Dragonblades! I know I didn't talk about this, I'm not enough of a Genji player to help you refine, but I can see there's a lot more you can do to make your blades more deadly. I hope you see this, and that some of it helps!

Nah, genjis good because he dashes in, deflects then just dashes to safety. And if his dash isnt up, he basically flies around being stupid hard to hit. Also he can 2 auto most 200 healt enemies.
the thing about these low elo plays is that they made bad plays and it pays off because they are low rank where people are not as good at punishing. then when these players get to higher ranks they get completely shit on because they now have these bad play styles that worked before but now don't. gives people a false sense of being good at the game.

Strange, few days after grenade change, quenes for tanks are like 10 seconds and supports take me over 2 minutes sometimes even 4 minutes. What could possibly cause such quene times?
Same, when I queue flex for QP, I'm always getting tank after 5 seconds compared to the previous seasons where I always got support after 1 minute. Playing tank just feels awful right now.
"nobody is looking at the genji in bronze"
but when i play genji all 5 of them shoot me when i even look at them. 😑😑😥😥🙂🙂
10:11 blud thinks we cant see him 😭😭😭
I wasn’t expecting the Burger King foot lettuce at the end 😂
I don’t know why but for me it’s more difficult as tengo to carry a bronce team than a día on one 😂
15:06 that is true, but If there was I'd also be in it. I am the bronze rein one trick with no trick
Just started the video but immediately using high ground already deservers silver 5
i reached there brother.
I wasn't expecting to watch a Nuke's top5 clip while watching Emongg's videos
that was chills
Where did you get that streets of rage music from. That sounded like a different version of the music. Is that from 4?
bruh i came here to laugh and have a good time and ended up terrified because the foot lettuce incidented happened where I go to eat sometimes when I go to Microcenter?! excuuuuuuuuuuse me????? I had no idea 0.0
It's not that he says "Burger King foot-lettuce." it is HOW he says Burger King foot-lettuce.
Burger King foot lettuce brings me back to the top 15 scary videos

Im glad i got to be a part of the burger king foot lettuce giftathon 😂
New favorite overwatch streamer
The foot lettuce was so anticlimactic😭 I was hyped for something funny but nah it was just a creep standing on lettuce😭 at a Burger King lol.
HOLY CRAP THATS ME TYSMMMM : 3
we may be in different ranks, but 10:19 you have so much more awareness of junkrat nonsense than I do 😂 I walk into junkrat traps on cooldown like it's my destiny
How is this person so scared to leave the cart but refuses to touch when it actually matters?

Basic pfp
Didn't expect burget king foot lettuce to be there, really lol
what’s emong’s outro music?
Hit with some Wednesday Deja Vu. Saw it live and then got to re-live the beauty of foot lettuce...i didn't know what it was either
I'm in diamond 1 right now for support and I see genjis that play like this sometimes
My teammates be ignoring genjis while i got both theyre supports and dps counterpicking me in gold lobbies
thats why ive got so many quick play hours
Yes a bronze genji CAN dominate in bronze/silver but if one support has half a brain they'll go Moira and no more Genji.
it was hard to watch that orisa not ult at the end and die in their mei freeze oof xD
Torb turrets handle all this lol
Oh my god I cant believe burger king foot lettuce made it to the youtube video.
As a silver/bronze player, YES
People don’t see the Genji because he’s a ninja. *taps head*
I'm a gold tank (used to be diamond in overwatch 1) but I had a game with ball, zarya, junk queen, and orisa. It was a 4v5 game in the second part of the match. It was on Shambali Monastery. The code is HHWDVS and my name in game is BeigeGaming. I'm not sure how to submit videos but I think you'd get a kick out of this one.
we will never know the censored name is beigehydra 😟
This genji isn't bronze he is probably a gold trying to cosplay as necros in bronze.
BuRgEr KiNg FoOt LeTtUcE
the last thing you want in your burger king lettuce
Necros should take notes
Nah, genjis good because he dashes in, deflects then just dashes to safety. And if his dash isnt up, he basically flies around being stupid hard to hit. Also he can 2 auto most 200 healt enemies.
holy shit that burger king is the one next to my old house
Borgor foot lettuce!
number 15 burger king foot lettuce
Y’all really gave the man 110 gifted to watch that?
If this is a bronze genji then I should be high silver-mid gold

When i play genji it is exactly like his genji (or worse) but im Diamond
"bronze 5`" should be "top 500 1"
I hate people who switch for widow or sombra in overtime
lol how much money did emongg get paid to watch burger king foot lettuce 😂😂
why does he say room as "rum"
people from the east coast and Midwest in the US pronounce room that way, that's all.
Lowkey wanna know how is this genji bronze he was actually playing good id say he should be silver 1 or gold 5
orisa smurf thrower
Genji is hard to hit when you cant aim... Like 95% of bronze players.
Ye
He looks decent with genji but those plays aren't working in higher ranks
the thing about these low elo plays is that they made bad plays and it pays off because they are low rank where people are not as good at punishing. then when these players get to higher ranks they get completely shit on because they now have these bad play styles that worked before but now don't. gives people a false sense of being good at the game.
Honestly yes he deserves Bronze but he is not Bronze 5. He is definitely Bronze 1.
shit, his genji is probably better then mine and i'm in G1 on console
Avid genji ignorer here. Its because I CANNOT hit the genji 😭😭
I really feel for these supports. I for sure would have gone Brig/Moira just to ruin his day...
