- This student did a pretty good job on their mock checkride and I would say with just a little more studying they would be ready.
Now if you are trying to make sure you are ready for your next check ride head to www.trainingwi... and schedule a mock checkride.
Be on the look out for new training resources
Follow over on twitch at / cheezepilot where I teach for free and also if you earn up enough channel points you can get a mock check ride for free.

I was the student in this video and I passed my checkride today! FAA got a brand new Private Pilot! Thanks @cheesepilot!!!
That's awesome congrats 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Congrats!!! Let’s gooooo. Passed ifr today. Came back to refresh some stuff with this video. Good luck with instrument. It’s tons of fun, and highly recommend pilots cafe document online
@@LifeWithMatteo thanks for that. Just downloaded that PDF and there's a TON of fantastic info there. Thanks!
@@tim9233 I printed all 30 something pages and studied it the past few months. It’s everything you need to know for your checkride. That and Sheppard air, I also used gold seal. Have fun!
@@LifeWithMatteo Will do. And the grind continues!
I have a checkride coming up and these help so much! You’re the first channel that I’ve found that has multiple full length mock checkrides WITH good sound quality even. Thank you!!!
Great for these videos. I had seen every mock checkride on RUclips until you started posting more of them lol keep ‘em coming!
9:20 its msl my friend
I caught that to
9 days to go. I appreciate these videos!
Same
Love these videos, I'm suppose to have my PPL check ride in a few weeks so the videos are a nice knowledge check
I enjoy your videos but found something you might want to look into. In this video you say that we cannot change spark plugs22:55. Appendix A to Part 43 section C #(20) says,
"Replacing or cleaning spark plugs and setting of spark plug gap clearance." Falls under preventive maintenance.
Also check out Mike Savvy of Savvy Aviation video or podcast on preventive maintenance. The FAA actually allows much more than what has been widely taught.
Oh shit thanks for the heads up
Most solid candidate so far 🎉🎉🎉🎉 more need to follow suite. Aviation field isn’t a guessing game.
I’m always surprised by the people that come on here and don’t even know their V speeds. That’s the easy stuff.
Damn bro. It aint easy. Just someone appearing here smart or not smart is an act of courage, leave perfection alone
Congratulations on the growth. You’re the man!
thanks i appreciate it
Great stuff. Very useful for my upcoming ppl checkride
Great to hear!
This was freaking amazing from both sides. Really hopefully guys for my check ride, thank you!
Thanks so much for the spin review!!!
LETS GOO TIM 📣📣
Talking about Va. The sad part about that failure and crash you are talking about, is the pilot did what he was trained by the AIRLINE to do in that situation. The maneuver was in the SOP. The airline was found to be at fault, not the FO.
Thanks for the video btw
oh i missed that part i didnt realize it was part of the SOP to do that its really sad that we have to learn from peoples deaths instead of being proactive
@cheesepilot Honestly, it's tough to comprehend how something like that could even make it into a procedure and trainjng for a Major fkn airline when some of the most basic knowledge from all the way back to the beginning of a pilots training in PPL certification is understanding manufacture certified V speeds
Awesome stuff. This helps a lot.
Ur a legend keep making videos
You certainly can replace and or clean and regap spark plugs.
Yep I realized that later I think someone in the comments actually put up the reference either here or TikTok. Either way I love the corrections it helps me be better especially when they come with sources. I love being wrong it helps me keep learning
@@cheesepilot I’m wrong, 😑 all the time
I’ve never seen green avgas available anywhere I’ve been. I know my 172 poh states there’s red, green and blue, but I’ve never seen it for sale anywhere. 100ll blue and Jet A is the only fuel I’ve ever seen for sale in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama and Georgia where I fly.
I've never seen any other gas available either but it's still good information to know
My 100LL is blue
I just love these videos!!!
Liked and subscribed. Student pilot here.
Awesome, thank you!
Hey Cheese Pilot, I am getting ready for my PPL check-ride. I'd love to do a mock session with you if that's possible.
All the details are up at trainingwithcheese.com thanks for reaching out
I think it would have been good to talk about FAR 43 Appendix A which spells out what preventative maintenance can be done by a pilot. Also, may be semantics but as I understand section 61.23, medical certificates of one class don’t become a different class, their privileges change as time passes on. Maneuvering speed is always a confusing concept for me to wrap my head around so thanks for that discussion.
Yeah I think I'll bring it up or do a video on it specifically
dont plan on bringing that i pad to the checkride, it gets failed right from the start.
Use of EFB or iPad is actually part of the airman certification standards now
Awesomeness
Immediately subscribed, thanks for this 🫶🏽
Thank you for the sub
I have my check ride on the 27th!!!
Good luck
@@cheesepilot I passed!!!
@@jamie-alexander6247 that's awesome congrats 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏🎉🎉👏👏🎉👏🎉👏🎉👏🎉👏🎉👏🎉👏🎉👏🎉👏🎉👏🎉👏🎉👏🎉👏
I'm a little bit confused at 57:30 and a few other parts in the video. If I answer something incorrectly like he did, is the DPE really going to take time like you in a checkride to explain and teach?
No the DPE is not going to teach check rides are not an opportunity for teaching but it doesn't make sense for me to not fill the gaps of knowledge if someone gets something wrong
Why do you keep knocking UND on these videos?
Didn't mean to knock them I just taught there and I think it's one of the best schools for aviation
@@cheesepilot ha ok I’m currently going there right now. It is great.
which flight school?
I don't currently teach at a flight school.
He means well but he wants to make RUclips money, there’s better mock and real checkrides available I’m good on the tick tock style vids
Thanks for the feedback
@@cheesepiloti actually think that what you’re doing is amazing and insanely valuable. Haven’t been able to find a more in depth moch check yet. The feedback you give makes these definitely worth the watch. Some of these moch checks I’ll watch don’t even give the student feedback to fill the gaps in knowledge
You actually can do spark plugs , I googled it
thanks for the heads up yeah if you check part 43 appendix a paragraph c has the whole list and i went and looked it up after this video tbh
34 appendix A, I believe we are allowed to replace spark plugs.
I just had to look it up, we were discussing part 43 at my school, under 43A (20)
@@jefflefevre1764correct part 43
Do all planes have a standby battery? I have a 1971 C150L
If it has an alternator then it should have a main battery if it has glass it should have some back up for the glass instrumentation
Most helpful mock oral I’ve seen yet. Good work
This is great. The Piper pilot 100 i is the airplane that I am currently training on!
Good info on the ELT
