You will own nothing and be happy. You purchased a product that becomes severely useless as the developer. They shouldn't make games that require their servers, but be only an intermediary at most, where the task can be handled by various other servers for players that want to enjoy the title without the developer's involvement
Meanwhile AAA slop will forever persist no matter how few people are on the servers due to that sweet, sweet DEI money subsidizing the loss these companies take.
the only thing i recall from this game is the great cinematic trailer, atmosphere, everything else is gone from my memory. crew 2, motorfest doesn't satisfy crew 1 enjoyers. i know.
The Crew will always be one of my favorite games, I remember the hype when it first came out. The spotlight it had for being one of the very first games to have a playable US map was big, the skylines and scenery were cinematic phenomenal! The cars and physics were good (ashamed that they didn't have a bigger variety of cars), everything about that game was nostalgic.
i never really enjoyed the crew mainly because of the weird arcade handling but it always brought me back because of the really unique and cool map that makes that really makes the experience like no other i dont think the game deserves being forever closed its very sad o7 the crew
same. i liked that it was one of the only games that you could do a road trip that felt like a substantial trip without laps. i think it was 164km from on edge of the map to the other. that's like the same distance as i travel to my farm, which takes a bit over 2 hours in real life (including city driving and dirt roads)
I didn't see gameplay of The Crew 1, but after watching it's so sad I can't play it with somebody travelling around the huge world. Even graphics looks good here as physics, so I would play in it.
WHOEVER GOT POWER TO SPEAK ABOUT BRINGING BACK OFFLINE GAMES NEEDS TO SPEAK UP... THIS RUINS THE EXPERIENCE FOR THE LESS FORTUNATE WHO NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS GAME
I am not against online only as a anti-piracy mechanism but when you drop servers for the game you should definitely have a last update to offline mode for players.
I miss when games are not overly saturated in colors. This technically has worse graphics in than the crew motorfest. But this game has better atmosphere than even horizon sometimes.
I had no idea they planned to shut down The Crew! What a shame, I remember joining when the graphic update arrived, got it on a discount at Uplay back then. Driving from one corner of the map to the other while listening to "Quiet Little Voices" from We Were Promised Jetpacks, what a game it was, hopefully we will have The Crew 2 for a lot longer, kind of miss the vibes of the first game tho, lot more dark and different from the colorful festival we get to see nowadays. oh and yeah - the crew 1 is one hell of a game! loved every second of it.
Acting surprised when the writing was on the wall from them very beginning
the only thing i recall from this game is the great cinematic trailer, atmosphere, everything else is gone from my memory.
crew 2, motorfest doesn't satisfy crew 1 enjoyers. i know.
The Crew will always be one of my favorite games, I remember the hype when it first came out. The spotlight it had for being one of the very first games to have a playable US map was big, the skylines and scenery were cinematic phenomenal! The cars and physics were good (ashamed that they didn't have a bigger variety of cars), everything about that game was nostalgic.
i never really enjoyed the crew mainly because of the weird arcade handling but it always brought me back because of the really unique and cool map that makes that really makes the experience like no other
i dont think the game deserves being forever closed its very sad
o7 the crew
same. i liked that it was one of the only games that you could do a road trip that felt like a substantial trip without laps. i think it was 164km from on edge of the map to the other. that's like the same distance as i travel to my farm, which takes a bit over 2 hours in real life (including city driving and dirt roads)
Adding the NFS World music really helps it kick in. Remembering the videos of people sitting there, waiting for the World servers to shut down.
thank you the crew, never drive alone
I didn't see gameplay of The Crew 1, but after watching it's so sad I can't play it with somebody travelling around the huge world. Even graphics looks good here as physics, so I would play in it.
RIP The Crew 🫡
It’s sad because The Crew was my first game I ever played in my lifetime😭
I’m mad I didn’t discover this game until 2022, I still had a fun time with it while I could
Oh well. At least those who have the physical copy can just...I don't know...use the disc as a frisbee? Or...maybe as a coaster?
let's hope that TC1 will reborn like NFS World have
WHOEVER GOT POWER TO SPEAK ABOUT BRINGING BACK OFFLINE GAMES NEEDS TO SPEAK UP... THIS RUINS THE EXPERIENCE FOR THE LESS FORTUNATE WHO NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS GAME
I am not against online only as a anti-piracy mechanism but when you drop servers for the game you should definitely have a last update to offline mode for players.
Yeah like what polyphony do in GT Sport for example
Farewell The Crew
🫡2014-2024 The crew will never be forgotten
I can’t believe how awful this situation is
I've only played a little but I enjoyed playing it.Sad to see the game servers go:(
TO THIS DAY WE CAN AGREE THIS GAME STILL LOOKS GREAT WITH GORGEOUS LIGHTING
That was amazing. It appears to me now that I made a mistake having never played The Crew. To all of you who did -- may your incredible memories stay with you forever. 🤙🏻
The biggest April Fools joke we got from Ubisoft ivory tower
And the thing is... it's not even a joke at all.
And then there's that woman:
"Do MeN EvEn HaVe FeElINGS?"
How much time, how many rages, how many races?
How many friends, how many laughs, how many moments?
I'm not emotional for crying, my emotions are in the moment i feel them.
And today we rejoiced to feel this spiral of some of everything we've ever felt.
Maybe sadnes for losing everything we've built, maybe hapinnes for being part of it.
Perhapts rage about this not beeing necessary, but hope, for this end be a new chapter of a better The Crew era.
Race in Peace, brothers, and let us be one more time amazed by how this game changed us.
(Hope you guys excuse major gramatic errors, i'm not a native speaker.)
only thing this game made me feel was disappointment, frustration, and anger mostly because of the god awful race designs (fuck those package races) and the damn awful physics
@@edu7979 and that's you.
What did other people feel?
@@EnderEnergy How do u enjoy tjis game like actually
why should i give a fuck about what you rose tinted glasses wearing people feel about a terrible game
seeing this again makes me want to play it again.... man.
The atmosphere for this game is still unmatched man.
that and the map was the only stuff that didnt suck
@@edu7979Sometimes that is enough
@@Tiaan-g1f for a GTA like game, yes. for a racing game absolutely not
Had no idea The Crew was shutting down but I'm glad to know that my car in this game will forever be parked in my home town
What was the car?
To be honest, I watched this just because of the nostalgic soundtrack from NFS World, how I miss those days...
This hits so different with the NFS World static car song..
This will sadly fade to obscurity in a few years
Great video, I've also made an last memory video of the crew. I've played for hours and hours, drove from east to west and north to south, really loved this game...
I tried to log on but i can't; found this this i fell lost
Now this game became a legend
Because they've made this game online only and because they've now shut it down, I'll never buy a Ubisoft game ever again.
Those P&VP faction hour/multiple hours long races on ambiental radio were like no others.
One of the greates racing games of modern era despite its flaws and glitches. Great story, enormous map and good shoice of vehicles. Hope we will be able to revive this game in the future.
Absolutely everything perfect in this video.
OMG, I've thought that just was one of those edit videos but The Crew really closed 😭😭😭
Rest in peace!! 🕊 I can't believe...
wish i could go back to when it released free with gold and re live it all again
I hope someone archived the files of this game and could somehow get it running again in an offline mode. I would love to play The Crew 1.
Ross Scott is starting a campaign to stop the practice of shutting games down like this, it could bring the Crew back! Check it out!
Another racing game bites the dust. Also nfs world music appriciated
Too top! The best and most complete of the three. It will leave great memories.
Rest easy Crew, rest easy.
I'm 35. The very first game I ever bought for the PC when I was 12 was Motor City Online.. It was like an EA made classic car mmo. To this day it was the most fun I ever had playing any game. I was only able to play it for less than a year before the servers were shut down :(
i remember back when this came out, me and my best friends playing the crew for hours on end day after day... :(
Imagine a racing game not available offline..
well, good luck naming me any of the more recent entries & upcoming releases in the genre that's wasn't online only, and wasn't an indie titles too
im so sad tbh, its my favorite the crew
That city skyline is just 👌
10000 times better than the sh---t of Motorfest
This video both hit hard on the feels but give some hope.
NFSW - Soapbox Race World
TC1 - ?
also, FUCK YOU UBISOFT
I actually miss it so much :(
not the NFS World music man 😭😭
