Long Way Home - Honestly don’t like messing with electrical systems. The price to fix something is scary if you mess up. Would love to have one however... so if you want to come to the US and install it for me please let me know. LOL

I have the K1, given how expensive it was it's not been very reliable. It's very susceptible to electrical interference causing reboots etc. I've not upgrade to the K2 as I'm very wary about spending more money so I'm keen to hear how you get on.
one of the best reviews I've watched. informative with a bit of humour. I'm heading around Australia in the second week of September and have been looking for a cam to record the trip plus just in case. Thanks for an entertaining review
Great Video. I've just become and authorised stockist and installer for Innovv. I've installed a few of them already. Great bit of kit. My only tip would be......when you pass wires under the tank......undo the seat height bridge and take it off. Then lift the tank up just enough to pass the wires across to where all the other wires are routed.
A BIKE THING I’m in Essex. I could drive to you, if you would fit it for me. I have a Triumph Thunderbird Storm 1700cc, so no fairings to get in the way. How much would you charge?
...YES. for over 18 months on my GL1100. Like yours it has 2 camera's, easy to install and set up, cost under £40.00p. At that price obviously purchased from a country we no longer want to talk about... footage on SD card was better quality than I expected. Good insurance should the unexpected happen!
Just installed a K2. It’s far from perfect but probably the best system around at the moment. The hardware seems high quality but the app needs work. My first ride didn’t record because I opened the app settings before I rode off (this shuts off the recording apparently), so things like that are annoying. Picture quality is just okay, however I did find a hacked firmware that bumps the bitrate up from 12mbps to 20mbps. This really helped with the image. My favourite feature is the gps logging. It’s great to be able to map your entire ride and sync it with footage. Sure you can do this on a GoPro, but you can’t practically capture your entire ride.
Here's my problem, I installed a 2 cam dash cam on my GSA for documentation but mostly as a rearview camera. There are many on the market and some come with a screen. I quickly discovered that the rear cameras are not flopped to correct the image pointing backward, so is very confusing to use as a rearview. The few correct view ones on the market with a screen are not waterproof. I use my phone as GPS map so the systems that let you monitor the cams on your phone will not work for me. I may have to build my own system. I hear the 2023 will come with dash cam and rear camera.
Use a sd card extender and mount that somewhere convenient. I use them all the time and swapping multiple cards to deal with later on is worth the 10 dollars that the SD extender costs. Cheers :)
Going to buy this - sooner would had helped! Had a big commercial van that I was following miss his turn, stopped on a narrow one lane, and threw in reverse running over my bike. I was about 12 feet behind him, but you can only back-peddle a K1600GTl so fast and he did not hear my horn. Problem -- he said I ran into him. CHIP proved other wise, but a camera would had certainly helped!
I have had the K1 version for years now, happily have not have to use the footage for accident reasons or anything. But it is also fun to use the footage after a trip or like a track day
I have the K1 as well and it's great when it works. Twice now I've gone searching for a specific bit of footage (mainly embarrassing things mates did on group rides :) to find big gaps in the recordings and no footage. After missing three events in a row, I'm seriously doubting the reliability of the system. I have the K2 to install, but again, I'm not sure it's worth the effort. Have you checked your footage lately?
@@riggingengineer When i just had the K1 i had severe problems with footage not being recorded or just small bits. After some trial an error I found out that my memorycard wasnt good enough for the dual 1080 video. When i got an sd-card that was minimum of UHS-1 , i never had a problem again with recording so far. When using a 128gb card i can record for like 9 hours. One thing that did happen after like 2 years i noticed that at some point (small) bits of recording was missing. This was happening because after so many miles/bumps the USB connectors were getting slightly loose. At that time Innovv started selling the K1 with a special clamp for the connectors as standard. But since it wasnt a seperate thing u could buy. I asked them about it and they send it to me for free. The only thing i had to do was change the DVR housing and add the clamp. That fixed that little problem right away. Think thats why with the K2 they make the clamps with screws so they stay fixed.
Yes i already install innov k1. The gps already not function 2nd day after installed. And now the decoder already error. Sometimes its on sometimes off by itself. Sometimes it sound repeatdly "camera off" even when the ignition is off...so annoyingband not realiable
I too have the Innovv K1 on my R1200GSA and have similar issues with reliability. I occasionally have to access the DVR unit and press the reset button for it to stop squawking. The DVR screen also no longer displays anything, although the unit does still records. I look forward to replacing my K1 with the new K2 soon. The connectors on the new unit appear to be much better than on the K1.
I have it on good authority that in the next FW release for the ezCAN, you can connect the INNOVV directly to the ezCAN - one connector, it will Power the camera and the control pin (3rd wire) is the ignition (yellow) trigger wire. Just chose any output and set it to be an Accessory output with sa delay time of 30s or more ;-)
I had just installed the red wire with the positive, the black with the negative, and the yellow with the backlight in the Ezecam, but I see the device's lights on, it did not turn off with the pike off Fear of battery depletion
Looks interesting, but I can see a few issues, 1. It looks like the cameras are fixed as front or rear with the longer cable being supplied for the rear camera, why? Most bikes I have seen are going to need the longer cable to get past the fuel tank at the front. I expect that this is left over from a system being originally designed for use in a car. There should be no reason why the cameras can't be interchangeable and allow them to be flipped/mirrored in the recording settings. 2. Can you turn off the GPS feature? I normally leave it off because I don't want to help in my own prosecution if I'm doing over the speed limit. 3. Field of View, according to the website it's only 120 degrees. Not enough you want a large field of view so that any interaction with another vehicle is recorded, you don't want any hits to happen mostly out of frame if you are involved in an accident.
Some bike batteries go dead very easy. Especially if someone is close enough to wake it up for a recording. Could we us I put a charge pack on it for the wake up function only. That way I wouldn’t have to worry about a dead battery if I’m out on the road. Even if I have to manually plug the aux battery pack in at night at my hotel cabin etc destination.
I have tried Dashcam Viewer software and sample videos are reading and displaying location on Google Maps but not my videos from INNOVV K2. Do you know what should I do to make it work?
Good honest review 👍I'm having the K2 fitted next week so hopes are high. Fix and hopefully forget. I'm afraid it took a bad crash and an expensive replacement new bike to get round to fitting one😞

Hi. First of all, thanks for your detailed video. One question I haven't seen in previous comments.... you mention a different location for the front camera right under the front light but you finish placing the front camera on the side. Wasn't it possible to put it under the front light? If the place is too tight, is it possible to remove the plastic piece with the two small plastic bars by previously removing the front beak of the motorcycle? Thanks in advance.
Hi. It wasn't too tight. Quite tight, but not enough to start cutting pieces off your bike and i think it would stayed perfectly in place with some 3M GoPro tape, but because the lens is so wide, it sits perfectly by the signal light, where I can use the actual mount.
