For 200 yrs, Gurkhas have serves the British for a very long times. The tradition is still going on and stronger. The bond is strong that each or both countries have becomes united in One. Went through so many battles. Remain loyal to the Queen and now the King. Ayo Gurkhali. Kukri

The British Armed Forces should increase the amount of Gurkha Battalions in their ranks.

True... can you trust your muslim population in UK, if there is conscript call in an emergency in England?

I admire the Gurkhas bravery. The motivation embedded through hundreds of years. A better life ahead. The slow improvement of Nepals economy which lacks infrastructure and easy access to both neighbours India and China. The Rivalry of two Big nations often times drag nepals politics. The leaders found themselves choked in financial offers of Contractors from both neighbours and ends up subcontracted which resulted to poor standard or incomplete projects. Hence, the funds that great Britain offered is for the purpose standard reforms of education, sustainable green energy and improving service delivery and health sector and supporting cultural relations understanding (caste system).
Thus, the UK strongly supports Nepal in redifining the political system which lacks management cooperations from factions of different social perspective and divesiveness of public support in general.

Just compare the way Gurkha soldiers are recruited and trained before being deployed by Great Britain versus how they are being trained and deployed by Russia. This is why British Gurkhas are a million times more effective than soldiers from Nepal in the Russian army.

@ajjoshi, I don't today's warfighting in any way shape or farm resembles the warfighting of indo-british era time. At that time, there were no modern weapons, so people who were brave had chances of success in the battlefield. But in today's era of drones, the bravery is in hiding, not openly displaying yourself in the battlefield and challenge the drones. Today's battlefield is very much technological, you can see how FPV(first person view ) drones have destroyed military equipment, suicide drone blast into enemy trenches. Today's need is of tech army, drones army, army of robotics. The nature of warfare has changed.

@@nc01sadh Nepal was far behind Britain in technology when they first met on the battlefield, yet they held firm. Super soldiers.

Not really. The Indian Gorkhas do not march like riflemen. They march the same silly and exaggerated way as the rest of the Indian army. Rifle regiments march quickly and with rifles at the trail. They were elite and did this because they had to move fast on the battle field. Unlike regular red coated infantry in lines. I’ve never understood why the Gorkhas are still considered “rifles” there. Same with Rajput Regiment and Rajputana “ Rifles”.

3:53 I wonder if the brit officer can get brave, loyal, humble soldiers like Gorkhas in England... most likely no... he may get some white drugged out riffrafs and few double crossing jihadi muslims ....!!Treat the Gorkhas well, they are gems... you are not going to get any better soldiers than these young men...

That's an insult to the majority of British Recruits. Ghurkas do misbehave and they do get drunk. A friend of mine who served with them told me that they were often punished by them being taken off guard duty rather than being put on extra guard duties as a punishment.
