We love Mary Kathleen. We really love the Ballara mining trail across the highway from Mary Kathleen. We did the mine tour with our teenage boys and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thank you I wasn’t 100% sure how the new and old would go but I think it was ok. I wanted to do a lot more because there is so many things to see in MK but I couldn’t find many old photos online
Bloody stunning 👌 there is a reason you guys get the views, you two are down to earth, very relatable and fun to watch. Keep the smiles and vids coming 😉
Look forward to your videos every week. Would love it if you were able to spend a bit longer with the camera on the scenery while you talked about it. It’s always so interesting. Thank you for deciding to share your journey. Just loving it 😊
Thank you Kate, yes I agree sometimes it’s hard to find the right balance but we are always trying to improve the quality. Thank you for your feedback and we’re really happy you enjoy our channel
Thanks for the memories my late husband and I went out the way in 2012, Mary Kathleen was a very interesting place, and we also did the mine tour in Mt Isa,
Thank you both for the look around Mary K,we will be there in🎉the first half of next year hopefully. We will be starting our travels around Australia in September and we are curious as to what precautions you take when you leave your van unattended in free camps and places like that.Keep up the good work and safe travels.Thank you in advance for any advice you can give us.👍
Thank you mate, when we first started travelling we done short trips away from the van until we felt comfortable leaving it longer. We always sus out the area we are staying in, talk to the neighbours if they are nearby, we use a Kovic Alarmed Hitch Lock that we bought at Supercheap for about $200, I also run a Kovic security cable through two wheels and lock it with a heavy duty padlock. we make sure all windows, doors, hatches etc are locked and pack everything away before heading out for the day. Most crimes that we’ve heard of have been opportunistic because people have either left things out or unlocked. To date we really haven’t had any problems or felt uncomfortable leaving our van for the day. Hope this helps Steve
G’day. Missed a bit of your travels as we are travelling! We were at Mary Kathleen a few weeks ago on the way to Kakadu and Arnhem Land… it’s absolutely a gem! Camooweal Billabong is also special. Cheers guys. Paul and Bernadette

Thank you, the stubbie holder is from a few we had made for the channel, they weren’t the best quality so we never went any further with them. We might revisit them one day.
Must agree Steve there should have been a Penrith sign but after beating the Broncos last time I’m not surprised, are you originally from the Penrith area? Go the mighty Penrith Panthers and the Blues as well👍
Hey Mark, yes I grew up in Lethbridge Park in the Mt Druitt/ St Mary’s area, we use to catch the train out to Penrith and watch the games nearly every weekend because we played footy in the local comp we received free tickets to all the panthers home games. Go The PANTHERS 🐾🐾🐾🐾
