To me they're the greatest rock band around today. Excellent musicians, song writers and performers (never a dull moment at their concerts)! Maybe do their "I Wish I" for your next GS reaction...a progrock monster.

They really are even more all over on stage. Plenty of videos from their recent tour in the states.
Yes, they are adorably weird! If you can find the lyrics you are in for a surprise. Lyrics are pretty deep

Wise of you to try to just experience the music. If nothing else. the journey through these Japanese bands has opened my eyes to a world of current music I didn't know existed and happily, there is plenty else. Love the light BTW.

Gacharic Spin, like Nemophila, is a grab bag, you never know exactly what's coming. Anything is possible. Gacharic Spin is more funk-rock-punk than metal.
In the live performances you can see 3 sections, the first one until 2013 with their first female singer, without keyboards. until 2019 then without a front singer, that's what Hana did on drums and Oreo on keys. Then there were 2 artists jumping around on stage. 2019 until today Angie joined 1/3 as singer and Yuri on drums. Hana switched to guitar.

Glad you’re digging deeper. Not the most Wow version of Mindset, but not wrong. And the Mindset single was huge for them, bringing new fans and sort of confirming the new direction where Angie went from 17 year old prospect to 19year old front woman (now 22). But it brought new fans because it was … popular music, Red HotChili Peppers with a tweak of Latin street, a pinch of dream theater, and a bit of schoolgirl attitude. If you keep going, there’s intriguing chaos to come, and yes, genre smashing, fun oriented. Mostly, any angry sections they include will get resolved, it’s not for pure metalers, but rather for musicians and fans of being surprised, and I guess partiers/ravers. I dunno, I don’t usually fanboy, but they’ve got the full range, emotional music too (like Voice, a few others). And they certainly don’t chase any particular sound to maximize popularity; they could choose to do whatever genre they wanted. They’ve consistently chosen “all at once” 🤷‍♂️

Thank you for the reaction MindSet🤟
However, although the live performance of this song is good, I think the MV is even better. I recommend watching the MV when you have free time. But No problem, thank you

I agree. Especially on first listen, this song needs more clarity to fully understand the full breadth of the chaos going on and this live video is a touch muffled.

They're all top talents, they can all sing and they're pushing the envelope musically. That is my kind of band! I also recommend watching the MV of this. You can really hear all of the parts more clearly.

Yes, we are spoilt with what is coming out of Japan, and for me, Gacharic Spin is one of those on top of the heap. :) Gacharic Spin is, apart from their undeniable musicianship, very much about fun and entertainment, and I see them as very authentic regarding their presentation of personality and feelings. I found your "Spice Girls" quip quite funny and felt entertained by your reaction. In any case it was authentic, unique, and surprising :) Indeed someone should bring it to GS's attention - they might run with it and make something of it in the veins of their "frog song" videos. :)

Great you are starting to appreciate GS, with them itmight depend on the song as they are so musically diverse and creative. Here is something that might interest you. It is DOLL$BOXX kind of a sideproject of GACHARIC SPIN from a few years ago. The band consists of all the members of GACHARIC SPIN of that time except for vocalist. The vocalist is the fabulous FUKI from UNLUCKY MORPHEUS. They are probably more hard Rock than GS. The drummer is HANA their resident multi-instrumentalist. Nowadays she mostly plays guitar and vocals only occassionally going behind the drum kit. YURI is their drummer nowadays and as you would expect from a Japanese musician is pretty awesom on the kit
The tracks I have listed is from a now legendary performance at Tokyo Dome for which I have been attemting to get the Bluray but failed miserably
    DOLL$BOXX - Shout Down / Karakuri Town / 世界はきっと愛を知ってるんだ

Really showcases the guitarist TOMO-ZO'S but to be honest the whole band are on fire
Doll$boxx - Dragonet + Hana drum solo live

Yuri was pregnant at the time, which is why she's not on stage or in the video of this song.

I encourage checking out Doll$Boxx. But instead of a 15 minute three song live vid, I’d start with standard reactor’s gold Take My Chance MV. My personal favorite is Dragonet MV, but let’s make introductions first before throwing him to the drum solo. Or perhaps, a more metal track like Shout Down MV 🤘🎸💃😎 ruclips.net/video/FVfRwBeCnE0/видео.htmlsi=b9WXZakspmL3q2rM

I love this band, but when their lead singer became ill, they had a tour on tap and had to punt, fast. Thus the formation of Doll$Boxx, which of course has a different lead singer, but the rock energy of that singer seems to have made the band even better. Check out Doll$Boxx, my favorite of the two. Here they are, doing Loud Twin Stars:

Gacharic Spin is imposable to class in any one genre and listening to 1 of 2 songs is not at all representative of them lol they use funk , rock ,pop metal jazz etc. and like this one sometimes all the styles mixed up into one song liking them or not you have to appreciate the musical skill they all have

If you are not sure about this band's genre I also think Jazzy pop rock. But they have some songs I really love and many years ago they had a side project when their singer left and the singer Now with Unlucky Morpheus sang on that project and it was still Quirky but much heavier in a sound That band was called Doll$ Boxx. Very cool and I think they are getting back together this summer for a new album so I am excited to hear it.

I consider Mindset to be their best song. IMHO their next best song is "Kachi-Kachi Yama Live (14th anniversary)" as it is very similar in vibe to this. Be warned though, it is like Mindset, but even crazier.

Clssifying into genre is crap, why pigeon hole music, although I think band-Maid would identify as hard Rock although ther cataloge is so diverse they stray into metal, pop-punk etc. And Gacharic Spin is uncategorizable as they are so diverse, but all top class musicians. Their concerts are organized chaos which I love. I must have pretty broad tastes as I love Band-Maid, Lovebites, Nemophila, Gacharic Spin, Unlucky Morpheus, Ganneryus etc. etc
