I struggled a lot with this one, and I do not think it is necessarily your fault, but it is kind of a necessity in the Kenyan market showbiz to be controversial or something for the shock value to go viral, hence the cuts you deliberately had at the beginning of the show. What I struggled with was some of the line of questioning ESPECIALLY considering the theme of the channel. The production value is definitely improving and very watchable. The content is still a bit wanting and this lowered it a bit. It makes me feel like I'm here for some gossip channel. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, but fundamentaly different in audience you would pull if you became the other thing I hoped you would be. Like I said, I want you guys to succeed if only so you can pull the heavy hitters because this is a much lacking space in Kenyan tech media. This one wasn't for me, but I'm happy many others enjoyed it.
1. Enock Mokua - Captured my attention, I was so attentive 2. Mitchelle Nyambura - I was smiling all the time 3. Matt Magera - Conent, with exposure he can be okay. Suggestion, you could create something like a google form where people can vote.
Claire Oparo was okay but it seems like she did not prepare well for the interview. In this role, the interviewer should always be prepared. Enock Mokua was alright. He seemed professional. He was a little tensed, but if he does this several times, he can be good. E. Michelle Nyambura did really well. She was interesting to listen to 😅 and she seemed to know her stuff. It seemed like she could confront the interviewee or call the bullshit if she sees it. Matt Magera failed to maintain eye contact during the interview. He was blushing most of the time. An interviewer needs to maintain the eye contact and push the interviewee to cough up something. Sheryle Pheona was alright. Andrew M Penzi was okay. It seemed like he was not getting some questions though 😅. As a potential interviewer, I expected him to have at least a question for Chris and Wangari.
Michelle has the aura and the personality Enock is not as eloquent but has the depth. Matt also has the knowledge but too shy. The rest three were not well prepared, or are just clueless.
I think all of them were fantastic confident professional and very self aware.... they were all able to answer Ur questions very well....I believe this was very very very good ...I would hire all of them
It goes without saying that Enock Mukua carried the day. He's a good researcher and has got high self esteem. His thought pattern in answering questions is 👌.Michelle comes in second since her smile will draw answers from the interviewee.
This was a good one Startup Soko. I hope you enjoyed yourself doing the interviews. This being a startup review channel, i would vote for Matt. All startups will require knowledge from someone who has been there and interviewing out of experience.
None really made the cut or really stood out for me, it's okay to extend the search a bit. Some more authenticity, breadth and depth in the subject matter, more ease in flowing with the convo, different thoughts on the tech scene/players and be more challenging to the main hosts' feelings/assertions held. Sidenote: Chris' cringeworthy moments are proudly sponsored by his mad crush on Wangari... understandably, I would too.
Chris was cringe on this one, can't stand watching the whole thing, what are these questions? Also, that take on that poor girls beauty was unnecessary.
I get it now. You want to gender balance your viewership by pulling more females and you think women love some bit of drama. So you want green leaf afficionado to come make some brews for them. Okay. For that aren't you going to need a host researcher? Acha nirushe pia mimi hapo some saltyness nakuanga nayo...I-Hub. Jessica, the Colombians and the Naijazz. That's what 2010? Alll the way to this other similar one that did libraries with akina Wakardinals and they also have a podcast.
Lol! Not really - we want to grow our channel, bring on new concepts run by different hosts. Hopefully you see the vision soon. Na hiyo saltyness, why?

Enock... a true combination of banter and brains!

This was a great one! I think the approach and the personality of E.Michelle Nyambura makes her a great fit for this role.
Claire Oparo was okay but it seems like she did not prepare well for the interview. In this role, the interviewer should always be prepared.

I would go with Nyambura for the host, she was the most eloquent and came off as smart. Kudos.
I also agree that Tesh is a bullishitter 😂😂
Indeed you cant
Michelle has the aura and the personality
Enock is not as eloquent but has the depth.
Matt also has the knowledge but too shy.
The rest three were not well prepared, or are just clueless.

1:25:00 The Editor doing a great job😅😅😅, I'd pick Michelle for the position.

hahaha okay sawa - send us what you got at startupsoko@gmail.com
@@startupsoko and you are still using gmail.
Do you guys focus solely on tech startups?
Not at all, doesn't have to be tech. Just as long as it is a business at an early stage of development and figuring out a repeatable business model.
heee na huyu tesh mbaabu si mnamchukia, i think if he comes across this episode he will have to turn on a new chapter in his life 💀💀
I'd pick Mitchell Nyambura
Enock for the job 💯
This was entertaining! Very interesting questions! 😂😂Not your standard interview, StartUp Soko style! Haha
Enock for the job ,he can hold a conversation and is pretty interesting
Enock would be my pick. Very interesting POV.
Enock Mokua is the stand out candidate
The Data Protection Act is not all data 😅
Nani anajaribu kuwa silence?? Wekeni majina pls
Mokua for the job 🚀🚀
I like enock but maybe Michelle is better on camera. Enock would still be a good hire though
Eey! No chills 😅 indeed Enock would be a good hire.
