Yea, such a terrible decision that they removed the 3,5 mm audio jack. I read that sony removed it because it didn't fit into the design. Thats a reason for me to go with the xz1 instead of the xz2.
I have the feeling that the lens of the XZ1c in this comparison, hadn't been clean properly. My xz1c doesn't have that excessive glow that is present here.
What about the speakers? Which is better? And the display of 5" VS 4,6" of Xz2c and Xz1c respectively, there is important to choose one or other? I don't know how to choose
xz2 is slightly better, but not enough to outweigh the hideous design. I really liked that the xz1 and it's predecessors didn't follow the generic android phone look. Edit although both are out of my price range anyway, I jest hope that the xz1 will drop in price a bit in canada now

From what I can see XZ2 has better contrast and vibrancy in its photos. I'm sure the same can be achieved on XZ1 if Sony chooses to use the same processing algorithms
It's the best XZ camera test I seen ! Would you able to remake the test with an other application than Sony's application ? I don't know what is the best camera application for Android but may be we could check if an other application change result of the phone camera and be better. Sony application is not reknowed for it performances ! Regards !
xz2c cameras both seemed better than xz1c's. xz1 front camera seems to have some fish-eye effect. rear camera colors and detail seems better on xz2c also. in xz1c pics look a bit washed out and with low light they have way more noise. sound capture seemed better with xz1c mic thou. a battery life test would be nice. xz2c specs on xz1c body would be perfect. snapdragon 845 on a 720p display would last forever
XZ1 compact is my choice because the camera isn’t far behind XZ2 compact but the design and the battery life is superior. Also the price has dropped to less than half of what XZ2 compact is. XZ1 compact will probably be the last compact sized Android phone with good specs and a good design. I really dislike the generic soap design that most of the phablets (phones bigger than 5” screen size) have.

resolved details are better in Xz2. Algorithm was improved as well in Xz2. Jitters and wobble is reduced greatly in Xz2. Colours are always the same although for this comparison, xz1 is leaning to the greener side and xz2 is on the bluer side of the spectrum but it's ever so slightly and not oversaturated which is pleasant

They don't even use the same algorithms on xz1 and xz1c... My xz1 can capture much better photos and videos than my xz1c... (Both on same firmware)

Xz2 has a much better dynamic range, but Xz1 kills it in the video deepartment (plus the wide angle selfie camera). Great video though.
