Also completed in Sept 2020. Ours was a tale of two halves. Wet and torrential first half to Tyndrum, then glorious sunshine most of the way to Fort William.
Awesome video and well done 👍. Any chance you and Dave would share your kit list? Really want to do this this myself, Sept this year if restrictions allow 😬 🤞
Hi Kelly, sorry for a super slow reply! So main items we used were: - Tent: Alpkit Soloist - Stove: Alpkit Brukit - Food: Summit2Eat Dehydrated Meals (game changer for dehydrated food, in that it actually tastes good! The Spaghetti Bolognese is especially good) - Sleeping Bags: Dave has a SnugPak bag, I have a lightweight down Berghaus bag - Sleeping Mat: Alpkit Cloudbase - Definitely recommend walking poles - I took a WaterWell Travel water filter which actually we didn't need to use because we stayed mostly in campsites and there's plenty of taps about, and as you can see... it wasn't too hot! - Clothes-wise we took the minimum to get away with not smelling - I recommend a merino wool top for this! Something I learned after my rest day was that you can get companies to carry your overnight bags between stops for a fairly reasonable amount, about £7 per stop I think. Definitely worth considering if you start struggling with carrying all the kit as I did. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Hope you're managing to get away to do it next month!
We were quite lucky, the midges weren't too bad for most of it. The second night was the worst but luckily there was a bar/restaurant at the campsite we could hide in! I guess it's about picking the right time of year... we went in September
I loved to walk the WHW by myself as well. Thx for sharing your adventure.
Thanks - glad you enjoyed the video, and the route!
Liked, if for nothing else other than James’s sarcasm.
Oh and congratulations on completing the WHW.
Haha thanks Dougie! Glad you enjoyed it - the sarcasm is really the only thing that got me through :)
@@JamesRedfearn I can relate. 😂
Nice video, really enjoyed it. Looked like you had a good time, and certainly made a good video. All the best

Love that you picked that out! Very important to air the feet after a long day’s walking (rest)!!

How did you get on with the midge?
