Also Alex' portrayal of mermaids is kind of accurate including the vampire like teeth. The whole beautiful mermaid like Ariel is a myth and modern invention. Actually mermaids can be equated to sirens who would lure fishermen to crash their ships by appearing beautiful and seductive with their song. I can't wait not to swim after this little horror lol

At the start of it when the mermaid pushes the guy , I have something to relate to . I think I was around 8 , I was swimming in my aunt's pool and something literally knocked me off the floatie
His girlfriend is arrested for kind of tempting murder and not calling 911
Granted horror movies aren't that scary when the story takes place in the day but if done correctly then the scare can be genuine as the characters aren't safe regardless of the time of the day
