Also I would love it if your book club would read books other then East-Asian books. A lot if times when people talk about Asia they generally only talk about East Asia and South Asia is completely ignored the book/authors so reading those and the representation that it would bring would be so amazing.
I'm Indian so I don't directly relate to everything, but I do understand the effects of imperialism that has stil effects to this day. And the effect of different invasion.
