@@alexachoton1244 there's this famous saying "an apple a day keeps the doctor away". It just means if you stay healthy you won't have to visit the doctor often. I think they mainly say it to kids, so kids kinda think doctors are bad guys and they're scared of apples.

Im confused by the comments. Respecting others and not tauting them with their phobias is the bare minimum and even then it took her a little while even after getting her answers to actually put the things that triggered their phobias away. Phobias are no joke. She is lighthearted and jovial which balanced it out tho.
I also have emetophobia and it’s so real. About to graduate nursing school somehow without ever dealing with throw up thank goodness, but I know my day is coming eventually and I’m terrified for it already. I know that girl’s situation had to be absolutely traumatizing

ANYBODY WHO HAS EMETOPHOBIA, READ THIS. I PROMISE IT WILL HELP YOU.
I had emetophobia for 17 years (I’m 18 now) and it ruined a lot of my childhood. I was able to go through a program called Cure Your Emetophobia and Thrive and I was cured in about 3-4 days. If you have emetophobia, I HIGHLY recommend you check this program out and check it’s success rate (it’s like 98%). While it may seem impossible now (for me it was) emetophobia is 100% curable through the Thrive program. The author of the book literally put up $1000 of his own money to anyone who wasn’t cured after completing it, and guess what? He still has his $1000.
Another helpful thing, emetophobia isn’t “happening” to you. Nothing is causing your anxiety, except your thoughts. Anxiety revolving around emetophobia is caused by your reaction and perspective to the idea of getting sick. If you can change your thought patterns, you can cure anxiety, emetophobia and depression, which I had.
Check the book out and if you go through it correctly and aren’t cured or significantly treated, I will personally PayPal you $500.
I have it too and it seriously has effected my life in so many ways and I hate it!! A lot of it has to do with the fact that I myself haven’t thrown up since I was 7 years old so it’s foreign to me and it’s just unpleasant in every way. But the fear is so real, if someone does, I shake and feel sick and I run away

I have severe arachnophobia. If I SEE or am even 4 feet away I will scream and cry vigorously. I will actually have a mental breakdown. I shake, cry, and scream all at the same time. The room starts spinning and I start to lose senses. I sound like a drama queen but I swear it happens.

My Phobia: Gerascophobia, it’s where you have a fear of growing up or growing old, say your 8 and you want to stay that age and you cry at random times about growing up. That means you have Gerascophobia.

I absolutely understand the cotton phobia, I have the same feeling of my teeth hurting but with a different type of fabric- the one sleeping bags are made of and it happens when me or someone else touch or scratches it. But my fear is not as bad as hers, I'm sorry for her.

ANYBODY WHO HAS EMETOPHOBIA, READ THIS. I PROMISE IT WILL HELP YOU.
I had emetophobia for 17 years (I’m 18 now) and it ruined a lot of my childhood. I was able to go through a program called Cure Your Emetophobia and Thrive and I was cured in about 3-4 days. If you have emetophobia, I HIGHLY recommend you check this program out and check it’s success rate (it’s like 98%).
Another helpful thing, emetophobia isn’t “happening” to you. Nothing is causing your anxiety, except your thoughts. Anxiety revolving around emetophobia is caused by your reaction and perspective to the idea of getting sick. If you can change your thought patterns, you can cure anxiety, emetophobia and depression, which I had.
Check the book out and if you go through it correctly and aren’t cured or significantly treated, I will personally PayPal you $500.

I have the “emotional version” of ancraophobia, which is the fear of upcoming events that involve air movement. If it was really windy out and a big tree was blowing in the direction of mine or a nearby house/anything like that, I would overthink any bad thing that could happen and my heart would be POUNDING and I’d start crying and hide. I hate having to experience that.
There are 4 types of ancraophobia. Psychological, physical, mental and emotional (the one I have and just explained).
I thought it was funny when they kept on eating the apple's after.
My strange phobia is thalassophobia or ‘fear of the sea’. It’s a real thing like I cannot go into the ocean or any deep, dark body of water.

i have the same fear as well! it was my first time snorkelling at like a depth where i can no longer touch the ground. i started going into a panic bc it was so dark underneath me and the rocks and seaplants were scaring the living shit out of me. so i stood on a rock below the water so i can catch my breathe, then after i calmed down for bit, i started swimming to shore but ended up drowning because i had a panic attack. it was such a nightmare

In all seriousness, how do you handle emitophobia? I know someone with emitophobia currently undergoing chemotherapy and I don't understand how she handles constant nausea and her fear of vomiting.

My phobia is syringes not needles I have tattoos. Syringes!!! Also ivs. When i had my kids most women are scared of labor. Or having a c section. I litterly watched my own surgery. BUT I CAN NOT WATCH THE IV BE PUT IN OR SEE IT AT ALL!! The nurses had to wrap my hand like it was broken for me to hold my babies. I have never seen my kids get shots a family friend has to go with me. I shake throw up or pass out mostly all 3.

I love decorating with balloons BUT I hate blowing them or popping them as once I had to go to the emergency room as a balloon popped in my eye when I was blowing it up. It sounds ridiculous, but my heart races if I need to blow one up.
I HATE balloons! I can mess around with empty ones and the only acceptable ones are the Mylar ones, but my heart starts racing, my skin gets itchy, I clench my jaw and most times even cry if I go somewhere with balloons. I laugh about my own phobia all the time and joke about it, but as soon as a balloon comes in the picture, I panic. Little kids with balloons are my absolute worst enemy.
